Another point to consider in Bronze is that the matchmaking is tinykittyed.

My last two matches were my level 22 Koth against a level 36 Nissa and my level 1 G2 against a level 11 Tezz.

This isn't a problem in other tiers because players should have maxed PW by the time they level up.

The answer is your own #3. Maybe as a newer player, mediocrity was acceptable for you, but some people would at least like to try.

I disagree that being unable to reach the full progression is "mediocrity". If their planeswalker is not the right fit to meet the objectives, then they need to either level up that planeswalker or level up a different planeswalker that can fulfill the objectives.

Before events were here, you had Quick Battle only. It was perfectly acceptable to use QB to level up planeswalkers. In fact it is still perfectly acceptable. New players can participate in an event, fall short of the objectives, then use QB to improve their chances for the next event. This is actually a desirable system of progression.

Your Maths is wrong. 13 Wins at 4 Pts for a win = 52 pts total. You don't get to complete the personal progression.

To add: 15 wins = 60 points. So these aren't really "optional" objectives if you want to make progression, are they now?

Right, the score used to be 5 points for a win, now it's been reduced due to objectives. My mistake.

The argument still stands though. If a new player has lower level planeswalkers and is unable to make the full progression, the solution is to level up the planeswalkers so that they can reach the objectives. The solution is not to make the game easier so that the entire progression is achievable at low levels. Then there is no incentive to actually get better at this game.

I agree with u on this.

I too had bad losses in my early events with decks that can only win and not meet any secondary objectives.

over the months, i grind qb and story mode to get the runes to level up my pw. in so doing, i also improve my deck making skill and my gem board control skill.

the more you play, the better you get.

but many people probably don't have luxury of free time i have to play this game as much, me being semi-retired.

Problem is: as long as you lack the right cards, you can level your Walkers all you want and not get anywhere. Kiora is almost my weakest PW, although I use even a healthy number of rares. But apparently, they are not the right ones to really tap into her potential. So for blue nodes I actually often prefer my lvl25 Tezz over my lvl46 Kiora.
