It is annoying when you have to sell a cover, but I haven't found it to be a very common occurrence. I counted 4 out of my last 56 which is on average of 1/14 4 or 5 stars I got, including from heroic tokens but not including progression rewards. I have a roster spot for all 4's so that helps. I liked the testing grounds, I missed having that one node in the pvp season to try out new characters. Selling price could be changed but that would force the champ rewards to change too. I want to see some sort of bonus based on the team you choose. Like a bonus percentage if you take on a team 100 levels over your highest character. Or all 3 characters overlap colors. Or the ability to go 1on3 or 2on3 for extra percentage rewards. And some overall affiliation bonuses, characters who interacting in the comics. Personally I don't have a big problem with the rewards, but I think gameplay could be a little more diverse. Or changing playstyles could be incentivized.
  • What about team loadouts? We should be able to save several 2 and 3-man teams.

Colorless covers, in the sense of just making it so every cover you get can be applied to any ability, is a huge overreaction. Also it's a bad idea because it will reduce variety in pvp. It isn't a good design decision.

I think a lot of people voted for it because getting the wrong color for a character is one of the more frustrating moments in the game, but competitive games need variance to survive, and this is an important source of it.

That's not to say I don't think they could introduce some more limited ways to choose the color of a cover under certain rare circumstances, but just going "covers are colorless now! " would be awful for the game.

Several of the ideas on the list have similar problems, where there's a seed of a good idea buried in gigantic overreaction to needs. I'm all for making QOL changes but they need to be way more moderate than most of these.

I don't know why anyone would really want live PvP though. A stupid AI already makes life miserable for me. I don't need to be playing against a smart human player that will be actively monitoring my AP, saving AP for powers and firing 6 at once, and seeing the L-shaped match-5s.

I mean, I get how it would possibly save you regarding how many times you get hit between matches, but man. Talk about a potentially miserable experience. Plus having to wait on someone to make a move? You'd end up with people deliberately stalling matches constantly even with timers. No. Thanks.
Consider, if you will, "pointless" Live PVP.

As in, it's not worth any points. No points, no covers, no ISO, no rewards whatsoever. So there is no point in playing, winning, losing, stalling, etc. It's purely for fun. And matches can be set up as challenge matches - you can challenge a player by username (either a buddy of yours, or not), or by random matchups.

So participation is entirely optional, and winners get nothing but satisfaction. Would that interest you more? (assume for the purposes of this discussion that any dev time spent developing this feature would not take away from features/fixes for the main game).

If the dev's were clever, they could even make specific challenge matches (non-random) cost a small token amount (25/50hp or 1k ISO) to encourage future hp/ISO buys and make the feature potentially revenue neutral.

I'd find that an interesting and fun break from the same old grind - worth spending some hp and iso on occasionally too.

I would think this mode would be more of a fun fun mode then competitive. I don't think it should have much if any rewards, maybe 100 ISO per win at max.

It could work as a "just for giggles" kind of mode, but given how competitive the landscape is I doubt it would get a lot of play without some serious rewards attached. Most players would spend their time grinding a node or climbing PvP rather than take on a more difficult opponent for a nominal prize. I'd hop into something like that maybe once or twice a month.

I imagine there's also a technical complication. The app as it stands doesn't seem to be able to track more than one board at a time. Allowing multiple windows would complicate the interface.

While I voted for it I do agree with this. I'd venture that the option to change the color cover for half the CP cost of buying a cover outright (so 60 CP for a 4*) would be reasonable, though.

    I voted "Other".

What I would really like to see are some changes that make an Alliance more of a Co-Op rather than everyone just doing their own thing and working toward Alliance Placement awards.

How about this? You get that 8th Quake Blue cover, but still not enough Green or Yellow covers to Champ her. Instead of selling it for 1K ISO, you have the option to gift/trade/sell the cover to an alliance mate. Expand it to ISO too. Maybe someone in your Alliance has the covers to Champ a character, but needs another 100K ISO. Wouldn't it be great if several other people in the Alliance could gift that player some ISO to get him over the hump? I mean, D3 can't be making that much on ISO sales considering what a poor return on investment they have it set at.

The alliance I am in is not a top alliance. We readily welcome new players just getting started. And we try to help them as much as possible. I would like to see some changes that would allow that help to extend beyond "Don't use HP for anything other than slots" or "This character is better than that character".

So the changes I would most like to see are changes that actually make an alliance more of an interactive experience.

Two quality of life improvements I'd like to see:

    1) No auto-reloading of boosts between matches. Or, let me remove the boosts and have it save without actually having to start a fight, so I can do it right after I am done using them.

    2) No loss of health if your game quits/crashes before you have made your first move. I get that they don't want you to force quit out of a bad situation, but why punish us before we even start playing.

    Other:

    1. Some kind of "vault" or "cage" you can put people in to hold them, so they won't count against your scaling if you happen to have one really high lvl character
    2. A revamp of PVE. The last 7 day event that was 7 individual days was beyond tasking. There needs to be some variety, I've only been playing for 3 months or so and it already feels like I'm spinning my wheels doing the same thing over and over.
    3. Scaling rewards better. Especially ISO given out as progression during an event. Typically the second to last reward is 1000 ISO, and that's just absurd when you can get that as a bonus from a node, and the very next reward is 15 command points.
    4. The ability to browse your roster horizontally and vertically.
    5. Under recruit heroes: have a drop down box so we can pick which one we want to go to, hitting the left or right star buttons over and over is annoying. Or have them listed in horizontal boxes with a number at the far right of the box so you know what covers you can open where.

I don't think colorless covers are going to happen. Instead, I would like to see the ability to pay HeroPoints to change the color of a cover.

Shouldn't this topic be in the suggestions forum?

Judging by the number of forumites who accused me of being a whiny, entitled millenial when I posted about it, I am clearly in the minority, but I would really like to the see the sell price for reworked characters increased substantially to more accurately reflect the investment in time and resources that a player has already made. The current system basically dares players to waste months of progress for a few k HP that they could earn through normal play in about 3 weeks. It's too favorable for demi/d3.

Since that isn't an option, and since most other players seem uninterested in the idea, I voted for a rework of the health/heathpack system (it creates a lot of imbalances in the game, given how much grinding is expected of competitive players.) and colorless covers (for 6th+ covers on 4*s and 5*s. perhaps not infinite, but maybe once or twice per month? I know that demi/d3 will never let RNG progress be too efficient, but something to help fix things for those with truly terrible luck).

I've said it before on the forum, but I will say it again.

colorless covers is never going to happen. As some have also said, that would probably signal the game coming to an end. That being said, we DO need a better way to build a roster than the current system. throwing away a color because you have that particular character at 5/0/0 and they only keep feeding you that same color is mind numbing.

personally, I would like a re-roll mechanism that allows you to just get a new pull of the same tier. if you pull a 6th color of any color for a character not already at 13 covers, you can just "try again" and pull again. My 4/0/5 Peggy Carter is just taunting me to play, but she just isn't ready yet. I have pulled at least 3 more of her blues. I would be fine with the ability to turn those extras into any other 4* cover. The likelihood of getting a Peggy yellow by re-rolling an extra blue is slim-to-none, but it's still better than nothing.

At the moment, I still have no true 4* characters that I can use... and I have had to sell over 10 4* covers because I just happened to get that color most often. I also have held back a few 3* from champ levels (I am holding 3* blade at level 182 until his rewards spit out 4* blade) because the 4* reward for the 3* champs is also about to give me that 6th+ cover of a color. Even worse, I shudder to envision what it is like for someone who just started playing... It can't be fun for them, because it certainly isn't a ton of fun for me
  • I'd like to see the ability to send character comic covers to fellow alliance members. If the ability to train a different power of a character at an ability maxed at five won't happen, then at least allow alliance members to "donate" or send it to an alliance member that needs it. If sent, let them receive points toward their shield rank and the player indirectly would agree to forfeiting any ISO they would receive by selling. This, I believe would increase alliance cohesion and alliance strength in obtaining rank during story and vs events. For example, I have Beast at 5/5/1 and can't seem to get two more yellow covers; always blue or green. If someone were to get a cover I need, it would help if I got it from an alliance member. If not given for free, then maybe require members to trade one for one.

Update 12/8/2016: I've told my Alliance members about this and have replies from five that agree. They generally say they'd rather send the cover they see it wasted selling to no one. I don't know how to upload the screen capture of the comments but would if I could.
