I rolled from 400 to 900 in half an hour this morning running my Sim team of Teen Jean, 4 Thor, 3 IM. The last couple of fights were against teams with Peggy, so brought AP boosts, got 12 blue and 6 yellow, stunned Peggy, hit Recharge and normal service resumed.
After zero hits on my climb, I left myself unshielded for the massacre to commence icon_e_smile.gif

I've been using XFDP/Iceman/IM40, not too bad of a team.

    My troll team:
    SL/Strang3/KK

I fire a power: take damage and I heal. You fire a power: Take damage, my stuff gets cheaper and I heal.

This is not a team for climbing, though.

Will probably use my Sim team. Kamala, IM40, Ragnarok. after one Recharge and some more matches, Ragnarok will turn the green tiles to charged tiles, most other tiles to blue, and then Kamala will turn the blue tiles next to charged tiles to green, and then strike hard one or two times with Embiggened Bash. It's at this point that IM40 wakes up and notices he missed all the fun.

This sounds like a lot of fun. The jankiness of turning yellow AP into red AP into blue AP into green AP cannot be denied!

I've been running a team of Rhulk, Elektra and 4Cyke.

4 Cyke does massive damage, and board control
Elektra can steal strike tiles, and shadow step is great in pvp
Rhulk tanks, steals green and crushes the AOE damage, as well as a counter hit if he takes a big one

my biggest problems have come against teams that generate Protect Tiles, usually end up relying on 4Cyke or hoping for a lucky cascade

On another note, how is your defensive team set up in BoP? is it the last team you win with since everyone is 550? the above team is my preferred for defence, but I sometimes switch to a Falcap, Octopus, SWitch team if I see a someone that generates lots of special tiles

The last word from the devs was that it's the strongest team with which you won a match. The definition of "strongest team" hasn't really been made public, and in this event it's certainly not clear. It would be quite nice if the team selection screen displayed your current defensive team, and warned you if your team selection was deemed to be stronger and so would replace it.

Thanks Moon Roach, I feel like setting my defensive team as Peggy, Starlord and Hood would probably scare a few people off but not a team that I want to attack with so was just wondering how it all works

Peggy, Hood & Luke Cage can stall your opponent "forever". If I saw that team, I would skip to someone easier. KK doesn't bother me because I can use Hood to stop almost all activated abilities. IM40 isn't a problem either because it forces me to match yellow, but Hood and Luke Cage can use that just fine. Peggy and Cage can both Stun when needed.

Unfortunately, my Peggy is only covered at 3/1/3, so she's not usable yet. So, I'm running IF instead with Cage and Hood. They can handle just about anything.

I don't think using SL with Peggy/Hood would work too well. With Peggy increasing the enemy Ap cost and Hood decreasing the enemy Ap pool, then Starlord would not get his yellow off that much. His other two abilities are okay, but there are just sooo many better options. Like Teen Jean or Rulk. Both cover purple And green.

I don't see Strang3 working well with Peggy either. Her blue stuns two instead of one and does more damage than Stang3 blue. As well as the increase to enemy power cost resulting in the same thing as Starlord. Strang3 yellow won't fire as often.

All I'm seeing is some combination of:

Peggy, Star Lord, Iceman, Rhulk, and IM40.

IM40, Ironfist and Silver surfer? Sounds fun, might try laters.

Surfer doesn't heal well in BoP compared to the 4* damage being dealt. I can usually run my Surfer on any PvP, but because of how much higher 4* abilities scale, I leave him behind.

Peggy, IM40, Iceman. Use recharge and gather 6 blue to use both Peggy and Iceman's blue in the same turn, stunning the whole enemy team for 3-4 turns. Use the red, purple and green ap from recharge to weaken each character under 40kHP or so, then sit tight and let Peggy's bombs end them. I managed to go off as early as turn 4 meaning I took minimal damage as Peggy's yellow (even at 3 covers) stops them from casting powers in that time.

My team that manages to not take much damage is IM40, She hulk, and XForce Deadpool. Recharge and Furious charge keep the opponents from using any powers. Then countdown for what and power of attorney just take people out.

Ok I am done with the event so here's my team.

Peggy, starlord, and im40. Basically starlord will reduce yellow ap for im40. Sometimes I can get 2 yellows off to charge blue and red a lot. Then use two peggy blue to stun the entire team. Then just use starlord reds (now with 6 blue cds) to punch one out and let the blue cds resolve and kill everyone.

Or just use one peggy blue and a starlord purple. Then use starlord red to try to kill the only non stunned member. Then start collecting more red to kill off more. When the blue cds resolve, it will be enough to kill at least 1.5 character(s).

    Now let the slaughter begin!

Oh yeah, I hate moonknight. He can one shot a member of my team with one move. Ridiculous!

How about a mostly 3* team involving a 2* character since BoP is designed for giving lower ranks more equality?
I had a great time with Switch, Vision, and 2* Magneto.
Switch builds up crazy amounts of purple, place a quick blue Vision power, then Mags purple lets you place strategic blue while random reds blow the board to pieces.
Then Vision Heavy Strike a couple of times and it's over.

Vision is completely underrated in 3* land IMO (as long as he tanks his colors obv, including TU)
