    Someone bought your slot if you didn't, and after observing the leaderboards, I am confident in saying 5 man teams are not competitive for 3* covers, yes I am sure 1/4 of shield could break off and prove me wrong but for mere mortals I will stand by that icon_e_wink.gif

    I really don't like the alliance system as it is now. I'm being penalized for having a small alliance of friends because one of the 3 covers needed to make a character even useful has been moved to an area I'll never place in (specifically after a new character release). I'd much prefer that alliance rewards were something along the lines of costume changes but that would take away from their "new costume = new character" setup they have going. I've missed out on all alliance rewards since they've been introduced, even though I consistently place in the top 25 for events and have even managed to place first in a few.

    I already put in a ton of hours in the game and needing to put in MORE just to get the same rewards I used to get? That's frustrating. BTW my alliance is just my wife and a friend so I'm sure someone will tell me that it's my fault for having a small alliance.

    Despite being part of one of the "big" alliances I would probably say that rewards have probably tilted too far over from individual progression. However I've not seen the stats that the devs are obviously privvy to, so I can only make an uninformed stance.

    Removing the 500 point HP reward will definitely be a blow however.
    I'm sure people would be happier if instead of removing the one at 500 points they moved the one at 900/1000 instead - granted someone will be unhappy at that. I dunno. *shrug*

    I find myself rooting for all these public alliances I see in the top 10. Go go gadget public alliances!

    And what ever happened to the forum 'Tiny Kitty' alliance?

    Hmm, either
    1. We all assumed someone else would found TinyKitty and no one ever did.
    2. Someone did make TinyKitty and it filled up with randoms and never expanded
    3. Whoever established it abandoned it to join another alliance
    4. S.H.I.E.L.D ate it

    Someone did found it, either polarity or nonce i think? and then they got ate by SHIELD or Kitchens or something

    You root for them up to a certain point...until they start getting a little too good, a little too close for comfort...and them BAM...you Gillooly them!

    Man, I feel for ya. I avoid alliance type stuff like the plague. Broke my morales on the subject and joined one because the idea of missing my 3rd color cover multiple times in a week rubbed me wrong. Plus side, nobody has tried to talk with me yet! Yay? Lol. So its like I am in one, while not...which I am totally okay with if I can just do my lone wolf thing and we place decently. As long as I can place high enough for the stupid cover they stole, I dont care about the rest of the rewards...just gravy. Which is what they should be anyway...so I am for it being iso, hp, tokens even....but NOT covers. If it IS covers? It should be something like the top 1000-2000 orders so almost like a free cover giveaway.

    Alliances should be bracketed in some way. Having a 5 member alliance directly competing with a 20 member alliance for the same rewards is sort of ridiculous and completely unfair. They should really be thought of more like leagues where 5 member alliances only directly compete with other 5 member alliances. Rewards would need to scale so that there's incentive to expand, of course. The big alliances get bigger rewards, which is fine, but don't make the small alliances "compete" with them, having zero chance of placing in any event.

    But above all, don't move the placement rewards from solo play over to alliances. There are other ways to solve the ecosystem balance issue. Moving a cover over is a quick fix to alleviate a lot of the tuning issues that would crop up. Hopefully Demiurge will provide that when the next set of alliance features drop.
