    Also, I got a chuckle over noticing how the screengrab on the IGN page shows IM35, but labels him as Modern Black Widow...
    You never know. She could have pinched his armour.

    As long as Daken gains a third ability that's ACTIVE I'd be 100% fine with the 2 passives carrying over.

    Edit: I said that because of a possible 3star PVP Daken, in PVE he can't be more scary than buffed 2 star Daken.

    Sorry but new Daken's third skill is passive, it harkens back to the older version of daken that took forever to play against.
    The skill is called "Stubborn Bowel Movement" whenever anyone matches black, Daken must try to pass a stubborn bowel movement. This pauses the game, not allowing any turns for about 15-20 minutes. Then a flush sound and sigh are heard and play can resume. Note that this skill only takes effect when the ai is controlling your team on pvp defense.

    I would be quite pleased with a new Daken. He was my go too guy for a long time when i first started and hell, i still use him alot when the need arises. A new version will make me very happy icon_e_wink.gif

    Why is this sort of stuff not posted here? The developers said they wanted to communicate better with the community, yet we have to go to other websites to learn about MPQ changes.

    If it's a lazy Daken, I must start saving iso and HP right now. I fell in love with Daken during Simulator 1, and a 3* version with more health and stronger strike tiles... oh boy, oh boy, oh boy...
    I'll have a new character for my A-team.

    If it's a non-lazy version, I'll have to see the skills before I decide.

    It only pops up once though, and I just sort of hit "x" without noticing that it was a news announcement and not "You were attacked" notification that I assumed it was.

    It would be nice if we could bring up the latest news announcement or something in game. Cause I would have absolutely no idea what the announcement was if it werent for coming to this forum (which, as the person you replied to said, was not posted in the announcements section and was only posted by a regular forum member). I think this is why Xtreme had a complaint with the lack of communication. Nit picky for sure, but legit.

    It's not even on the D3P site yet in their News section, nor is it in their press releases folder yet. I'm betting the release only went out to a select few media outlets and maybe only to IGN directly as an exclusive.

    It does make note of the sale, but it doesn't say anything about new characters. Not that it should, but if Team_Xtreme's complaint is about not learning upcoming changes on the message boards, he has a point.

    And on another note, I saw some people talking about 3* Daken in my alliance chat thread before coming here and assumed it was some extended wry joke. We are DjangoUnbuffed, after all. I get annoyed enough as it is fighting Daken and waiting for his animation after green matches. But then I got here to see it was serious.

    I'm okay with it if it is not a Lazy Daken, or, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, please fix the animation for 3* powers so there isn't a 27 year pause every time you make a green match. If feel like I have to play against Daken enough already, and I can't imagine how often I will have to see that annoying power animation pause if the 3* version is a lazy one.

    I'm not kidding about this at all. I have grown to hate Daken because of his power animation. In that one event, when Punisher said to him, "Your father must wish he'd never touched a woman every time he hears your name," I almost cheered! That is still my favorite line in the entire game!

    Oh gosh, thinking of a 3* lazy Daken is giving me sweats.

    Email customer support. There are plenty of stories of them being generous towards purchasers who made purchases just prior to a sale announcement.

    That's actually a good suggestion. CS isn't the quickest to respond (been 7 days since I submitted my ticket with no response), but you should get something eventually. It never hurts to ask.

    ICE: Please, please confirm for us that Daken will not be gold. That would be the three most recent releases as gold characters, or, at best, three of the most recent four if Human Torch comes out first.

    That said, very curious about what different incarnation of Daken could be added as a 3*** (or 1*, I suppose) character.

    I thought they said they did not want any more alts (instead more new characters). Thus, gold characters are the sort of replacements for alts.
