Her abilities seem very nitchy. Even more so than Dragon Man. I think if you have Geier Reach Bandit and love getting the secondary rewards from the Terror in the Shadows events then she's worth it...
Then again you may be able to just ignore the werewolf specific abilities and mash up a bunch of green ramp with OP red cards.

I think $30 to $40 is only worth spending on really game changing stuff (Kiora, Olivia). I just don't see her being super powerful. Honestly I keep changing my mind back and forth as I type this lol.
I say give it a couple days.

Yes. In fact, red/green is probably ideal for werewolves right now considering that both have some decent to downright crazy werewolves available currently. Also, Arlinn can transform herself (and I have a feeling that her transformed version is going to be NUTS to play with)!

Is there anywhere showing her level 60 stats and abilities? The link in game is, of course, not working...

Other than Geier Reach Bandit, which werewolves are good?

R/G seems strong for the reasons Tilikum mentioned. I can't think of any werewolves that get me very excited....I should know, they're all in my Nissa deck right now.

She seems like a cross between Garruk and Gideon; it'll just come down to the cards that get released down the road. Buffing creatures that are considered prohibitively expensive (for low stat payoff, generally) doesn't seem super great.

Amazing with Geier Reach Bandit, awful with every other werewolf. icon_lol.gif I guess we'll see what other werewolves are released in the future.

Wonder how many more people would have bought this card if Sage of ancient lore hadn't been nerfed?

I have only played a handful of QB with her, but she seems very strong. Here is my first iteration of deck for her:

    MF4azqW.png

I think Bring to Light may need to be replaced with something else, but I haven't had much time to play yet (maybe brawler's plate?). This deck is a really quick killer. No need for damage spells, since everything is berserking into everything. The second skill is incredible, as it allows for quick pulls of both Geier Reach and Sage of Ancient Lore (either of which win games for you quickly). Scourge Wolf with Berserker is a cheap Iroas's champion, and fits the wolf theme of the deck quite well.

I can't really see myself ever using any skill but her second, since it is so good (and cheap). If you have the cards, I highly recommend getting her. She may be quicker than Koth (especially when the decklist is perfected).

Edit: Dropped Bring to Light for Brawler's Plate and Demolish for Fevered Visions.

Breakneck Rider is an auto-include in all of my red decks. Red-green is a really strong color combo which does not currently exist in this game. I could easily see building a deck where Breakneck Rider is the only werewolf in my deck, I use Arlinn's 2nd ability to fetch it, or her first ability to turn some other creature into a guided missile until end of turn.

One thing to note is that if you have a werewolf which is flipped, and your creature slots are full on the board, you can't cast an unflipped werewolf until it's flipped back, or until you have an empty creature slot (unless you're replacing a creature).

Another thing to note, for those unfamiliar with paper Magic, is that werewolves are pretty scarce in this game. They only ever appeared in original Innistrad, which came out about 3 years ago, and they are likely to only appear in Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon (the set after Shadows). This is similar to the Allies creature type, which only appeared in original Zendikar block (circa 2009), and the sequel block, Battle for Zendikar / Oath of the Gatewatch.

Here is where not being able to purchase specific cards with some kind of in-game currency or real world currency really hurts the profits of this game. If I could buy Geier Reach Bandit outright, I would probably drop the money to buy Arlinn Kord today as well. But since I can't and they nerfed the only other really good werewolf, I don't really feel the need to buy her and farm runes to level her. Instead I'll wait till she's available for crystals, which I can earn in game for free over time. I feel like they are shooting themselves in the foot with their current system/pricing policy.

Well they released the Werewolf and Villagers pack in the vault with only 3 different mythics in it. So if you do happen to get a mythic, the chance of it being her is 1 in 3. D3 just wants you to gamble because the house always wins. Pretty weak-sauce.
  • 30 to 40 dollars? What's her price for you? It's 50 usd in my country.
Also, do you remember how much did Kiora cost and how much do other dual colored planeswalkers cost. I wonder what will her price in crystals be. 600?

Played your deck in QB mcjordan. Barely, I mean barely, won. At lvl 60 arlinn is a bad kitty. Worth it? For the asking price eh, but worth grinding for crystals to buy her in the vault in a few weeks? Hell yes. Looking forward to it.

What makes Around dangerous is her abilities. Once she flips, the clock starts as soon as she has creatures on the board. She can force werewolves to transform and trigger combos and abilities like a switch!

She's $39.99 in the U.S. Kiora cost me 950 manacrystal.png today but all the other dual colored P-dubs have been 550 manacrystal.png I think. You must be pretty psyched since you mentioned her a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I was so happy to see her. And I'm even happier they left her Transform mechanic, I thought they won't implement it. And she looks awesome! But $50 is too much, I'm gonna wait and get her with crystals.

It's strange that Arlinn came out at the same time that Kiora rotated around; they seem to fill the same niche (of replacing Nissa).

If Kiora wasn't here, I'd heavily debate spending the money to buy her. But instead, my new plan is to hoard crystals and get the arguably superior Green PW.
