So I did not clear optimally (never do). I finished my final 4th clear about an hour ago (6PM EST), I am in Slice 2 (ends at noon).

Given those times, is it best to wait until that final node recoups all it's points in 24 hours (i.e. clear it again around 6PM tomorrow) or just clear it when I do the others around noon tomorrow and take what points it has - then let it build up points before a final clear the next morning?

@jackstar - based on the rewards mentioned in a previous post, I assume Moonstone will be the essential 2* in the next event

Moonstone is the current required 2*, I believe its OBW as the next one.

Also, is it just me or is the points requirements rather... Generous? I got the 3* progression cover before I even finished full-clearing the first node, which since I didn't have him, allowed me to get semi-optimal points (though my goal is almost purely progression right now). I'm not complaining, it's nice.

I'd also like to know how to optimally clear a sub that runs two days to ensure all progression prizes are earned. Thanks for the info in advance!

Grind ASAP until the timer starts. Wait 24 hours. Do one more clear. Wait until as Close to the end as possible. Do final grind.
It's really not that different from doing the grind for a 24 hour sub, the only difference is the extra clear after 24 hours.

So there rewards do not reset for 2-day subs? That sucks, although I am loving the progression, we're losing out on node rewards, experience points and sub placement. I don't understand the need for 48hr subs.. oh well it gives me time to go back to Gauntlet to gain experience there.

No, the number of clears do not change. The rewards are somewhat better on a 48 hour sub - there are two CP rewards on each hard/fourstar essential node for example. But yeah, the 48 hour nodes are a bit of a downer, doubly so when that's all the event has.

Actually, you don't lose out on CP because the nodes with CP both have 2. And you don't lose out on sub placement rewards because the rewards for sub placement for 2 day nodes are generally double what they are for 1 day nodes (in terms of ISO and HP). All you lose out on is node rewards and one event token.

Ah you're right, it's been awhile. However, you still lose out on Experience Points for fully clearing a node. I don't think the devs took EXP into consideration for 48-hr subs, unless I am gaining 20 EXP and I haven't noticed.

So Jean Grey is boosted, Thing is boosted, and Punisher is boosted. All of them are in nodes as enemies, which locks them from my roster. Why would you lock out boosted characters when you know people are depending on them since they're boosted?

it is the same in the gauntlet, with rulk and cyc boosted.
I ran them with im40 and there where some teams with one of them, one node had two

Wow, this is something that has got lost in all the CL etc stuff, a full clear on the first sub and 4 clears on the second sub is still not enough for max progression.

Indeed 5 clears in first sub and four in second barely give 29 k and you need 36k for max progression. It is insanely high, or they made a mistake when calculating with those 2-day subs.

Bummed about it too. I will probably end up 3k short. Between that and petering out of the gauntlet at sim 32, this had been a **** rewards week for me. I hit the 25 cp with a day and a half left on the previous pve.

Side note on strategy for this event...

I am finding Beast (boosted), 3Cyc (boosted), and IF (unboosted) to be a ridiculous amount of fun. You might sometimes come away with a fair slice of damage, but it's rare. Those three have a crazy amount of board shake between IF turning tiles black, Cyc converting red, and Beast smashing everything. They are destroying the hard nodes for me once they've hit max level. They aren't on the opposing team ever either, which is nice. No lockouts.

I hear ya. I played the first board near perfectly, and am at 4 clears on all of the nodes of the second board, and I'll need to make up ~2250 points in 24 hours. It's tuned ridiculously close, and doesn't make the game very fun.

Fingers crossed this is a one-off mistake on their part and not the new normal, that couple of weeks when they dropped it back down to 3 clears per node to get final progression were great, even though I was clearing fully, the reassurance that if you didn't have the time through the entire event you could still get your max progression made the game seem nicer somehow.

The sole reason i popped into this thread was to see if anyone else is having issues with progression.

Looks like you need two full clears ( or very close to it), at or near optimal spacing.

    Sucks.

The last time this event ran we weren't under the same format, which probably allowed for more possible points. (ie. 8 hour clears over 48hr subs). Maybe. just a thought

This is incredibly bad. I just realized that I have no chance of hitting progression, after slacking a bit in the first sub.

Right, it's my own fault, that I decided to not fully grind hard nodes, after their scaling went to lvl ~200, while my top 3 characters (including boosted levels) are siting at lvl ~166. On top of that, it looks like choosing CL6 was pointless, because it's just as competetive as any previous PvE event (or maybe even worse).

    Delightful changes.

Part of the problem with the change (and there are many) is that it wasn't communicated. Normally a full 4 clears in each sub would get full progression. But if you did that on the first sub, you are screwed. Just for doing what you normally would do.

So now I'm reading you have to do a full 5 or possibly 6 clears. That means you have to be much more rigorous in your timing. You have to finish that first 4 clears asap and stay on a tight schedule. 4 clears is already a very significant time investment, D3.
