    Well, played my first ever lightning round last night. Hovered around #30 until the last couple of minutes, lost one, got defeated twice and ended up #136 just like that. Harsh, very harsh indeed icon_e_sad.gif

    The temptation to actually spend some money on this game gets stronger by the day, but I'm not sure if I have just left it too late.
    £35 will only get my 8 covers which I don't think is enough, going by my roster, to end up with a 3x 3*** team.

    Help me out here guys, who should I be looking at to buff please???

    I personally only ever use Lightning Rounds to farm some ISO and tank my MMR. I rarely have the uninterrupted block of time needed to place well (and the amount that your score can plummet in 1-2 mins at the end of the round is just disheartening). But, I try to play for the first 10-15 mins of each one. Plow through the seed teams, earn the 25, 50 and 100 pt rewards, then drop in my tank team - it's easy ISO and you never know what you'll pull out of the standard recruit token.

    As to your roster question, you've already got the makings of a pretty solid primary team - Punisher, Spidey, OBW - it's not 3x 3*, but it's got rainbow damage coverage, some great active/passive synergy and healing for survivability. If you are considering buying HP for covers, I would probably concentrate on cover maxing Punisher - read up on his different builds in character discussion: your play style really determines which covers to level. As for Spidey, you just need one more blue to get down to the 2AP stun sweet spot. If you keep on eye on their colour damage as you level up, and you can keep OBW as the primary on Blue and Black, then she'll steal those colours on every match to feed Punisher's Molotovs and Spidey's stun.

    Actually, it treats me as if I was not in an alliance, even though when I search for it, my name is still on the roster. And it tells me to leave my current alliance when I try to join again.
