Thanks for the input, everyone. I ended up changing him to 4/4/5. I originally didn't like Ares much originally, but he's awfully useful as a damage giver and I put him on the same level as my Daken, so in fights with no OBW allowed (like the Dark Avengers PvP), I can use Daken for his green tiles.

But wow, 5 events in a row with Lazy Cap prizes. Even though the last two heroic ends after the Lazy Cap tournament, still, I expect I'll be seeing lots of maxed or near maxed Captains.

And... I'm seriously unimpressed. I was trying to set up a tank team for the first day in the Lazy Cap tournament... and my game crashed for BOTH the seed teams. So, I must be the only person in the whole game who lost both against the lvl 1 Storm + lvl 2 Iron Man, and the Lvl 2 BW + Lvl 4 Storm. This is so sad.

I went to bed ranked fourth in hard mode, I awoke in top200. This event is the purest **** I've seen on this game. I generally stays high enough to get the two covers, even with those ending hours that are a pain for Europeans; there I only got the alliance cover. I am utterly unmotivated for round 2 as it will be the same.

I feel your pain, bro. I was hoping I'd at least stay top 100 for the red, but nope... Down to the Hawkeye covers in both events.
However, round 2 has a good ending time for us Europeans, so I'll finally get those missing red covers, unless I completely screw up.

Honestly, I only could agreed with you...the only way to stay in the top for us, at least 100, is to put an alarm clock at 5am (or so...depending where you live sure) if you are crazy like me (but I only do it when the rewards are interesting).
Or if not, as you pointed it out kennardfr & wolfman, you will be kick out the 100, easily...

So they announce PvP seasons with rewards both individual and for alliances, and a daily reward for the activity of the alliances. Interesting to say the least, well for those in an alliance anyway. Let's see the way it will be put into the game, and the kind of rewards involved. I guess it is a way to encourage players to participate in all PvP events, and limit tanking to the Shield training and LR.

I'm loving the new updates. A new daily reward for alliances will be cool, and PVP seasons sounds awesome. I've been tanking lightning rounds mainly but will probably switch to just SHIELD training now. I'm also glad that you can see the roster after a tournament ends to see how close it was.

Lightning Rounds won't count for seasons, only the regular PvP events.So you can still tank Lightning Rounds. Daily rewards will certainly be light, some boosts and a little Iso, and the monthly will enable to get Iso and tokens (and there will be progression rewards too). I guess they want to avoid people sacrificing events they are not too interested in.

Much better than first round. Top 20 normal and top100 hard. I only lack a last Lazy Cap cover (thank that **** first round where I got nothing). But I had to battle to the last minute to stay in those limits. Happy this **** event is over and we can get back to normality.

From the way you guys were talking, it sounds like tanking works, but i'm a little unfamiliar with it - you just lose on purpose and it should make fights down the road easier?

Okay, I'll be away during the Easter weekend, so I might not be able to fully participate in the upcoming two events. I'll try, but I don't know what my connection or timing will be like.

Yep for tanking, I go in shield training and fight with my most useless characters, and leave the fight immediately. i can lose four fights before the trio is down and I have to change them. Just doing this with two trios every day (not very long) lowers the MMR interestingly.

Got the alliance reward for activity so it is 25 Iso per active player every day. Nice without being too unbalanced.

Yeah I didn't realize how this worked until we put this alliance together. I've been tanking lightning rounds and my matchups are MUCH more manageable. Rather than struggling to the top of every event, I can blow past a lot of easier people on my way up and face actual challenges to fight over the top spots. Before doing it I had to put a LOT more work into the game.

I never did the SHIELD PVP so I'm tempted to go into it just to get those Spider-Man covers. I do want to stop tanking lightning rounds when I can just so I can try and get more villain covers since Magneto, Hood, and Doom are some of my favorites. All these events lately have had cards I want, though, so tanking anything is getting to be a tough choice.

As a side note, I like that we will get ~500 ISO each day for the alliance. I've got Lazycap halfway to max level, but need a LOT more ISO to get that done (especially since I just beefed up Hulk for his event).

Got a Lazy Cap in a token from the first sub. It is the last I needed so he is my first 3 stars with 13 covers, awaiting Punisher at the end of Hotshot. I may have joined a bad bracket for the Hunt. Very hard to stay near the top, or not too far at least. Same for Hoitshot, there are already a couple guys above 1000. Now I am beginning to pump Iso in Punisher as he is the next PvP, and my highest levelled, 116 right now.

And another 3 tsras cover for the second sub, and yet another Lazy Cap... Well I will mount his red to 5 as it offers good damage and a possibility to recover most of the red points. For Punisher I will have 5 green and 5 red after the end of the PvP event, should be able to get him to 120 then I will level one or two others to 100+ at least before thinking getting to 141 I guess.

Someone apparently left us. We are only 19/20 right now. I don't know who it is but I find it quite bad to leave without even warnign the others. We will have to fill the spot soon to avoid losing too many points because of the vacant spot.

After looking at the roster, it looks like we lost HumbertoHo. Yeah, getting back up to 20 would be nice before any of these events end. We're still ranked really high in all of them so it's not super imperative, I'd just like that little bit of reassurance

EDIT: He did pay for his spot so I would feel better if we could get him back (or at least get an explanation)

We've got a problem. We were easily in the ranks to gain the covers before but it seems that we are barely top150 now. And when you look individual scorings you see we have several slackers. In the season 1, after three ended tournaments plus the SHIELD training, we have four guys beneath a mere 1000 points! and even one beneath 500! It is so easy to get at least to 500 points each event that it seems like pure slacking to me to try to benefit from the work of others. I will be seriously pissed if we miss the Fury cover because of these guys, because they do not hand 4 stars that often.

I totally agree. Our performance in the last two events (Falcon and Pun) seriously worries me. We used to easily score top 50 or top 100 at worst, but now we are ranked at 140. I understand Loki covers aren't exactly enticing, but I feel like everyone should put in some effort at least. Not everyone needs to shoot for top 10 in each event, but looking at the scores of some people, it's clear they really aren't even trying.
