Does anyone know how many points team 100 had?
  • I think in the future they will/should make changes to the reward range. Having #2 and #50 get the same rewards is... discouraging.
I was shielded in the last 2 hours but I broke the shield to help my alliance get top 100 which we got. Barely. I assume this was the first and last time though. I think #100 was decided around 3500 which means in a 5 slot alliance all members had to get an average of 700 points. In 1-3 weeks the top 100 will be alliances with 15+ members so I guess I'll have to live with only 2 only covers.
  • Pretty disappointed I didn't see any alliance names referring to B@con_M@gic or other seed opponents.

They were in the last places of the tourney, obviously.

some more statistics, thx to my fellow scAvengers, Sugarman:

(used Emeryt's final alliance rankings ((ty!!! icon_e_smile.gif )) and then just looked up all alliance member numbers 3:52 hrs after event end so numbers may not be %100 accurate, but should be close if not exact for all)

Beast: "Professor X...If my calculations are correct, that means the scAvengers are 4th in points per member among the top 15 teams, not to mention they are the only alliance with 15 or less members within our data pool."

    Professor X: "...and that ain't no $hit!"
  • Wow, go Django! Second overall in that list in points per member.

    Indeed a worrisome trend.

Your post is pretty much spot on.

Top 100 cutoff was somewhere in the 3400-3500 range, if I recall correctly. As you mentioned, at that score, a five person guild right now would had to have scored in the top 10 or better for each player in their brackets to even squeak out the blue BP cover. The difference between a 5 and a 6 person alliance is quite significant. Adding even a single additional roster slot greatly improves the odds of placing in the top 100, assuming all players are highly active participants.

I would agree... after a few weeks, how many slots would an alliance have to buy just to "keep up with the Joneses"?

I hope they don't offer more slots until more details are figured out. Tourney prizes will definitely get changed - offer more variety for placement I assume - Top 5, Top 10, Top 25. More competition for placement prizes is the norm for all their other tournaments (including LR and Elite) so the Alliance tourney rewards were just a gauge to base future tournaments on.

They will have trouble adding more reward variety for top 100 though. Take solo rewards for example. So far we had #1, #2-5, #6-15, #16-45, each getting significantly better rewards than the group below them. They took one cover out to create the alliance rewards and the result is that the solo rewards are stretched out thin. Now #2-10 feels essentially the same (If I remember correctly it is only 500 ISO less for #6-10). I broke the shield in the last 15 minutes because even if I dropped to #10 from #2 I would be perfectly fine.

The alliance rewards are stretched even thinner. Essentially there are 3 groups of rewards worth mentioning.
    # 1 for the extra cover and the 500 HP
    # 2-100 for extra cover
    # 101-2500 for the 50 HP

The extra ISO you get for various fractions of ranking is nice but nothing that is worth buying an additional shield or spending too much time. The problem is that there are not enough rewards to split in the various ranking ranges for the alliance rewards. The good news for solo play is that now I will probably spend only one 3h shield near the end in order to get to 700-750 points for top 10 and call it a night. And that only if am interested in the top cover.

Yeah, someone needs to create the S33d @lli@nce

Edit: I'm sure Batt1e_Ange1 is swimming in iso and hp, she needs to get on this.

FWIW, if you want to tag on to the end of your stats at place #20, our team average was 763 with 12 members, which would have put us third in average in the top 20 (pretty sure no one else in the top 20 had fewer members than we did). If you subtract the guy who was our twelfth member for the last half hour of the tournament (and has since left), our team average was 797, which would have made us second to no one but SHIELD.

We had the fewest members for the entire tournament. we only recently recruited 3 more icon_e_smile.gif so we would have been 2nd if the law of averages applied icon_e_smile.gif Now we must all come up with a plan to disable all SHIELD members internet connections for the next alliance event.
  • Now we must all come up with a plan to disable all SHIELD members internet connections for the next alliance event.

It won't work. Those guys are so dedicated they would drive to Demiurge HQ's and insist they get to play on their internal servers.

Yay, the alliance I'm in [just] managed to hit top 22! Getting my first blue Black Panther cover was a nice surprise. Thanks to the OP for collecting the information on the final scores.

so will anybody other than S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be able to clinch #1? those guys are bloody crazy icon_e_smile.gif
Just as a note, it's S.H.I.E.L.D that took that spot. Not S.H.I.E.L.D. If it's the actual organization, they ran out of periods. Is that a thing?

Ascent only had 17 players participate. The 18th was just there for ride, we decided give a random player free gifts. Are average points per player should be higher.
