On the more non-footie related side, I am surprised that there is so much drama related to the Fearless Defenders event. Seriously - do you really want BP that badly?

This is an event I'm trying to tank

What alliance are you in! I'm still waiting for our delicious alliance rewards. It was a good battle,

I did not join any Alliances yet. Black Panther is rather meh... Waiting for an event that would light a fire in my loins.
    Alliance ELITE? ? Anyone?
  • I was a huge ROB player and I have been playing since Beta and I must say I love this community. Great serious player but not over board. Everyone want to have fun competitive games.

I like the alliances and I know that they will work out the kinks. There was never the kind of interactions from the DEV on the ROB forums so its refreshing to see feedback taken into consideration. Go Retribution!!!

If you want to talk about evil alliances, TheOnlyHeroes has a couple of shady rosters for sure.

I wanted to check their roster out but I forgot that I'm currently taking Juggernaut headbutts to the face (it's because he loves me I swear.)

EDIT: Took a look at that Alliance, nothing seems out of the ordinary...Crashbox1993 has an impressive roster for sure.

TerranDominion has reached the top 5, we had a member add the final 7 spots to our roster today. That's loads of good karma.

TheOnlyHeroes are know for their association with cheaters in the past.

After he found out he got sand box he made another account under similar name.

These guy weren't just some random that join the alliance because it was public with free slot. They were made commander as well.

I wouldn't be surprise that they bought all their member slots with cheated HP. Even if the cheaters get sand box and remove from the alliance. The member slots is still there. This alliance feature is full of bugs. It reveal to cheater that they are sand box. No way to control your own alliance when you make some one commander. Also nothing stopping someone with a legitimate account from make a new account, cheat and get max member slot for an alliance. Make the legitimate account commander then delete the cheat account with a max member slot alliance without any evidence of them ever cheated.

On a side note, what happen to Nick Fury?

    I thought he created S.H.I.E.L.D
Now he is nowhere to be found.

On the topic of drama I won't lie part of me wants to be able to see the scores of team members. I am ok with lower scoring team members but it will be really important to be able to identify players who have become inactive or quit playing the game. There is no way to know if a member is even still playing. Of course being able to see player scores would inevitably result in groups requiring minimum scores and member kicking which would be bad... unless you love drama!
Roster screenshots. Plenty. Then checking weekly progress.
  • I think someone pointed out before, but with the costs being they are you could simply have a cheater buy all your spots and then claim you don't know that guy. For that matter, it's completely possible most of the members of the alliance really have no idea the slots are bought with cheated HP, so it'd be very unfair to sandbox the whole alliance but then the slots they have are clearly not fairly obtained.

    *sigh*

I joined that alliance because I saw "alliance only prizes" and it was open at that time.

Rather than risk being tarred with the 'cheater' brush, are their any forum alliances looking for moderately progressed (solidly 3***) / semi-casual players? (PM me, please.)

I'm in their alliance if you want to check my roster, and am willing + able to buy a slot in the alliance if there's none currently free.

Just looking for an alliance that won't kick me due to not playing "hardcore" for family reasons. icon_e_biggrin.gif

You're doing it all wrong. There are no tools for an Alliance to track your performance.

Claim that you come secret double first in all tournaments you enter. Every so often post an anecdote about how easy/difficult/juvenile/pulchritudinous your current bracket or sub is.

You may need to resort to lying if someone asks what pulchritudinous means, but beyond that you're golden.

    Haha.

I have totally won every tournament I've ever entered then. icon_razz.gif

Nah, would prefer to be up-front about my times and playstyle. If there's no alliance that'll take that when there's no tracking tools it'll bite me in the **** when there are. icon_e_biggrin.gif

All good. I'll find one eventually. icon_e_smile.gif

It's not the size of the leaderboard screenshots that matter. It's how you use them. icon_e_wink.gif

Alliances with strict minimum-score reqs will enforce them regardless of the means of data collection employed. Alliances that are truly more laidback can easily stay laidback even with activity monitoring reqs.

As for the soap opera aspect, we're not thinking big enough here. At levels that matter and for the people who seriously care about such things, this should be more like a corporate-recruitment arms race. Soap operas revolve around gossip and whim, whereas corporate headhunting revolves around competitive ROI. Asset headhunting wars are more fun to watch than _General Hospital._ icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • haha fun first alliance game

yeah misfits seemed cool, i almost joined but i didn't have the hp to buy the next slot which they were asking for at the time

I'm with GodLike now, these guys seem pretty cool, we placed 10th, decent and not stressful, which i really like. No dramas either

Last thing I need in my life right now is to feel pressure and obligation from a match 3 game

Not gonna say the name because I already reported the roster as fishy but he had 141 Thor, 140 Hulk, 139 BP and then a 105 x-force and 64 patch. Every single other character on their entire roster was at default level (30, 15, 6, or 1 depending on number of stars) but fully covered or close to it
Just checked again and they now have gained about 400 character levels including 2 new max 3* in the last few hours

we know you mean Shredder icon_e_wink.gif

yeah, shredder has already been reported by at least one guy I know...

Indeedy. Aside from Montague/Capulet alliances I want a H.A.M.M.E.R. alliance now.
I would ship them with S.H.I.E.L.D obviously.
    Yes.
  • Evil? Wait till the prize tears will have a top10 rather than tp50, with significant difference.

But if the devs have even marginal sense for good they go some other direction and it will settle down. And with communication features added move shell get way less evil in nature.

I am really annoyed that get we a generic "you're alliance finished in the top 50!" message when we finished #2 D3, it's not that hard to send the accurate ranking for every tournament, and not just do it base on the prize tier. Ultimately my goal was not to get 3 BP covers for all my members (which I did) but to compete for #1. Still, The alliance meta-game was a lot of fun. Thanks to AsianInvasion (Brady28) and EvilSonGoku for financially committing to the success of 5DV before jumping ship. What's sad is that if D3 decided to sell 5 more slots, at the super price of 2100-2500 HP price, people (we included) would probably still buy em up. The real winner of the tournament is D3P, as they probably saw a nice boost on their income report over the weekend.

Here are things not to do for next time:
    1) Create a new super character called Cosmic Spiderman (5*!) and make him an alliance only reward
    2) Create 10 more slots for alliance, and a new rank called Leader, which costs 5000 HP to unlock
    4) Make a S.H.I.E.L.D only tournament
