  • I run Patch-Punisher team, in this case best build for Patch is 355 and he should have more damage in green and red than Punisher, this way
    a) Patch's regen makes him good tank for Punisher,
    b) Patch's red can be used effectively (at least 3 colors - red/green/yellow).

    I could not stand having the weakest Patch so he is now on the journey to join my top team. He has risen from 18 to 45.
  • if there is a chance i can get commander ill buy an extra slot because it would be nice to have a full alliance ready for the next event.

    You thinking right. 3/5/5 or 5/5/3 — any other build don't realize all Patch's potential in full power. However, it is my opinion.
    Does he work well with the Punisher and the healing Widow? Punisher is my highest leveled fighter but they share 2 colors.

    They works together very well. Punisher's red and green allow you have good choice in various situation. Example, when you don't have enough AP for Patch or use his powers is need, but may lead you to lose. Plus you obtain combat black and one color, that may rescue your OBW from damage.
    it would be nice to have a full alliance ready for the next event.

    Next team event will be PVE.

  • I think it'll be Cap. People hate on him but he has his uses. I fought the last mission on the jugg heroic and Thor and IM40 both bit it taking down Daken. That left level 50 Cap versus full healthed level 160 Hammer medic and soldier. His match damage was insignificant, only really hurting them with the red shield which only hit for 300. Eventually had 2 red and 1 blue shield bouncing back and forth and pulled out the win. Sounds tedious but it was pretty fun actually lol

    If you take it to 5 green you pretty much have to use it as a finishing bomb or have a purple match lined up so they only get 3 or 4 once you get to 141. Once you get used to it you use green to end matches so the other team doesn't get to benefit from their strike tiles. Example berserker rage then 2 molotovs

    5 red is great but it's more expensive and I don't like that if another character is buffed it gets weaker. If I need to do that much damage it's probably better to just use retribution. Mostly though I just like green more bc it's cheaper.

    With patch as my strongest I prefer 5 green. More damage faster. Once I get punisher to 141, I'd consider moving to 5 red

    At 3 red covering 3 colors you'll usually do roughly 2500+ damage. With 5 colors (if you stun im40 for example) you'll do 3500+. 5 red does like twice as much damage so basically someone dies. 5 red is a much safer build, less risk of cutting yourself

    Some also say 5 yellow is overkill and put 5 red AND green. Again, if patch is your clear strongest 5 yellow is more useful bc he's taking hits half the time. If he's only taking a third of the hits than 3 yellow is probably enough and 5 red is more necessary bc you have less tiles and you need more damage per tile for it to be worthwhile

    Don't panic. Do you play Simulator PVE? *** and **** characters no so scary on hi-levels like * and **.

    Only if you use green often. I use green only like a finisher move, when i have 18-27 AP (or play in Desert Arena and have few Oasis). While red may be used anytime. 14 AP collect much faster than it seems. Especially, when you play against hi-level enemies.

    Your 3 color number looks right, either your 5 color number is too high or mine is too low. Considering you use red way more, I'd say mine was prob too low bc the difference from 3 to 5 red is always roughly double the damage (35/16)

    It's all preference I suppose, like lord tempos said I prefer the flexibility of 535 with punisher. If I get green early punisher if I get red early patch. If i get them evenly i can basically kill the whole time in one move. The main target is basically dead green plus molotov (s) kill someone else. Retribution anything that's still alive. And if somethings STILL alive obw double tap. 5 greens just a little faster in my opinion. Also, sweet sweet loki. Once I have 3 3* at high level I might go 553

    I had 5/5/3 from the beginning. icon_e_wink.gif After ** Wolverine was nerfed i needed equivalent exchange in combat power. Guaranteed regeneration is good, but still useless when you get a LOT of damage. Best defense is offense. Plus 10 yellow stones can be found on the board not so rare. Especially, when your pre-nerf Astonishing Wolvie a long time have lack of yellow covers.

    I know. icon_e_smile.gif 12+ 148 strike tiles with Illusions is pure awesome. Or same 12+ 148 tiles with Trickery. Or both. icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • I've scored a lot of points off of 4/4/5, but I like a versatile team, so I can adjust based on new chars/nerfs.

    The Patched one is versatile enough that 3/5/5, 4/4/5 and 5/3/5 are all viable options, depending on playstyle (i find green will fire far more often for me on average than red, and usually comes in to play right about the time it will wipe out Widow, since OBW is being abused by most players now (but is delightfully squishy)). i use red as a finale or a last resort, since it only grows stronger if your other party members are wiped. 5R for me would generally be overkill.

    The 5 yellow is a given, no matter what.

    I think if you have another max 3* who takes yellow, Spider-Man, im40, BP etc patch's need to tank becomes less vital. Im40 gives you awesome red ap generation then stuns himself so you can destroy the planet with patch red. Throw in someone who can heal or do AOE damage and that's pretty much a monster

    Brothers! let us welcome doctorstrange with loving embrace. He shares our affinity towards the patched one and brings an established bond with the trickster, established enemy of our golden nemesis.

    It is with a sad heart that I must also share that as I made my rounds tonight to ensure the safety of our members, I saw Knudsen's quarters were empty. He left no notice, there were signs of a struggle. I'm forced to believe his devotion wavered and in a moment of weakness he chose to take the path of the less righteous. Could we have done more to save this soul? I only hope he finds what he seeks elsewhere.

    Patch LR just finished, 5 yellow... Very good for that. I used patch, pun and OBW for like an hour and only used one hp and got my best LR finish ever. Mtgoferret of django unbuffed was kind enough to provide a screenshot. Woo!
