Should the Daily Resupply reward scheme be changed?

I believe that D3 is missing the opportunity of using this platform to poll players for potentially divisive changes to the game. I recently made a series of polls regarding best abilities in each colour (see links in my sig) and I got over 300 responses, which yea, is a small sample but I think big enough to be representative.
Why do I mention this? Because I'm almost sure that one of the reasons why the devs haven't dared changed the ridiculously outdated and obsolete Daily Resupply scheme is for fear of the lashback/demands of veteran players angry at having "missed" on the improved rewards. So, I'm making this poll myself to find out what would players actually prefer.
Shoutout to billsrule7 for giving me the inspiration to do this with this funny/sad thread.

If they just changed all the random rewards to things that are worthwhile, I don't think anyone would have grounds to complain.
The last thing I want to see is a standard token after 800+ days into the game.0 -
As a player approaching 1k days....its not the tokens that would get me, rather the covers (especially 4* or 5* ones). What if my white whale was retroactively added to a prior day such that I missed it? Yeah, itll come around again....but thats a bit of a let down. Hopefully they wont let the guaranteed backlash prevent them from doing it, its definitely needed.0

As a almost 1k days player myself, i agree that missing out on any impt reward will be soo disappointing. Anyone who think we are selfish are equally selfish themselves.
I dont mind losing out on tokens but definitely not 5*/4* rewards.0 -
They've already changed it retroactively once. When they added CP, veterans were not given all of the CP they would have earned through Daily Resupply had we gone through the current system.
That said, I don't really think the Daily Resupply is off by much. It's not balanced for people who play competitively; it's balanced for people who log in for 15 minutes a day to play DDQ and that's it.
The forum has not and will never represent the vast majority of the playerbase. Which is important to keep in mind whenever we get upset around here.
EDIT: Also, I don't vote in polls that are ridiculously written to be baited toward certain responses. I don't really think they need changing but also don't care if they are.0 -

I voted for the 2nd option. Truthfully I'd be happy with the first (don't tell D3), but I was thinking about the 800+ day players that are still struggling to make the 4* transition and figured that if they are going to acknowledge that the rewards don't match that level of commitment to the game then they ought to retroactively reward those dedicated players who have been struggling for a while.0 -
Everyone beyond month 3 is struggling. Most guys like us are hooked so we'll put up with the struggle, it's the new players that need better incentive to make this game a habit.
At its current state, I would drop the game like a rock if I had just recently started playing.

Day 1 player gets a standard token. Day 952 player gets a standard token. day 1 player = day 952 player? I'm not sure about "vast". Sure, I acknowledge that the majority of players by volume are the casual masses that turn on the game once every two-three days and play 5 minutes or so. But do their opinion matter as much as that of really engaged players on a one-by-one case? Low level of engagement is directly correlative with expenditure, so these are people who neither love the game nor spend much. 100+ people that have a 2* kind of roster by day 700 and never have put a dollar in the game < 1 active player in the eyes of the company. And even if not all active players are in the forums, it's not farfetched to expect that opinions held by people with similar levels of engagement (i.e. forumites) are similar to theirs.EDIT: Also, I don't vote in polls that are ridiculously written to be baited toward certain responses. Just because I didn't include a "don't care" option (which can be chosen by not voting at all, but perhaps I should have added for measure purposes, anyway) doesn't mean that the poll is baited. The Daily Resupply reward scheme is close to 1000 days out of date. In that time the game has changed dramatically, not the least of which is that rewards were balanced in a world where the two 4* were novelty characters and 3* were the workhorses. Now 5* are champion 4* are the new benchmark. The game wasn't built to support those characters.

If they just followed the same rate as how CP is rewarded that would be fine. So the longer you have been playing the greater the rewards would be. So instead of getting the random standard tokens you would get heroics and eventually progress up to legendaries to longer you have played. Same thing with Iso. Longer playing time, greater rewards.0

Lets not forget, they already changed the scheme once, when CP was introduced. There were no back rewards on any missed cp. A similar approach would be fine as long as all benefited in a scaled way, much like CP was0

I'm in agreement with the idea that the set rewards are generally okay (you can outplay them, but with championing that matters even less than it used to), but the random daily rewards need to changed so that people that have been playing for months/years don't end up getting a standard token or 500 ISO when that doesn't really help them much.0

It feels kind of weak to win a regular token or a small amount of ISO as the daily reward.
And honestly the VIP reward isn't much of an improvement. I won't miss it when it runs out (and I don't have $10 google credit currently.. maybe in a few months).0 -
The players who would "miss out" because they've been playing longer also got advantages newer players didn't get such buying individual covers, and having less characters for RNGeezus to pull a gift from.
If you're sat on fully covered OML and key characters like Hulkbuster Iron Man, let me assure you that use scrublord newbies NEED some support <.<0 -

7 months later, I still like that suggestion. Maybe look a bit rich on the 5* range, but those are periodic rewards. Like, once a week.
Yeah this is a really good idea, though it seems to me that the 5* level starts a bit too early for real-time progression? Especially since there were no 5*s at the 2-year mark. I'd put that leap around day 850 or so myself.0 -
Another area where Future Fight got it bang-on. Their daily rewards cycle every 30 (or is it 28) days and are the same for every player. Energy one day, Crystals another day, a hero chest each week (with the 4th one being a higher tier), and some other odds-and-ends each day.
No reason MPQ couldn't adapt a similar structure. Even expand it over 90 days if they didn't want newbs getting prime rewards after just 30 days. Week 1 could be standard tokens and small amounts of ISO, leading to a Heroic token. Week 2 could be medium ISO, HP, a couple of Heroics, then a 3* only token. Perhaps a "wild card" 3* token that could be applied to any character of your choosing. Finally leading to the final week with the payoff of an LT and CP.
Oh, wait. They did that. Sorta. They called it VIP and pay-walled it0 -
