I think the event itself wasn't too tedious.

The fact that it was the third in a back-to-back-to-back string of weeklong PvE events made it less appealing.

    Totally agree.

I think it was a great event, execpt for the last day, last day should only be about wrapping the story.

In the end, I won a ton of iso, one 4* and three Thor covers, so it really was a good event for me.

Worst out of 3 events available recently

scaling totally out of sync with capabilities
    Tedious as hell
    Broken last day
Progression rewards only up to 160k with more then 100k
  • No, I don't think I am going to miss him. I remembered the Hulk event fondly because a lot of us got a real boost during it. This time around (I think it's the third, actually), it just felt... stale. I know a lot of people had issues with the scaling, but it actually was a plus for me this time --I found it to be the right level of challenge (this is also due to the fact that I have many of the buffed characters maxed). I also liked that I was able to play it when I wanted without worrying about a grind. I also think the reward structure was better. So that sounds like it was awesome, right?? No.. no so much.

The main problem was the length..............................................

OMG did it draaaaaaag on. The two previous event did nothing to help that either. We lost a few very dedicated and respected players due to burn out, which is a real shame. I love PvE events, and I would like to have them weekly -- but let's keep them to 2-3 days max, huh? icon_e_wink.gif

I understand wanting to make a new character release "epic" in scale, but it can be done in parts... doesn't have to be 9 days straight.

    Scaling was improved from before.

Scaling is still just as screwed if you live in an EU timezone and are forced to step into an event cycle 'late'. The last three cycles the opponents I was served had already inflated to far, far above my highest character level by the time I got to play (which is roughly 12hrs passed the opening of the event) on the evening of a working day.

The last cycle of sub-events I couldn't even manage to unlock anymore because I was facing Lvl 140 already on the main event with a team that averages at Lvl 70. Ridiculous!

Community-based scaling has to go. PERIOD
  • So right now The Hulk Event is about to end. What are your thoughts on this? Is it still your favourite event the 2nd time around?

It's the 3rd time. Yes, it is still may favorite along with Ares hunt. I mean the original one. This over-broken thing is good riddance. I hope if it ever gets another go at least the stuff everyone complained about gets fixed.

I kinda lost hope that the devs ever just revert to fun stuff but at least some minor points can be improved like the last day madness that did not look intended.
  • mixed feelings; it was long, however, I finally got my last Punisher Green cover, a bucketload of ISO, and some subjective observation on rubberbanding.

The day and a bit (it was the weekend), I pounded away and made it into the top 300. Then life was getting in the way, and the remaining 6-7 days, I played maybe twice a day (brekky and evening), cherry picking the high point (Black Panther and Punisher) missions, for a single playthrough each time (so twice a day on two referenced missions, and the occasional other mission if I was tied into a boring conference call at work - but don't tell my boss)

Anyhoo, the point being, my relatively casual playing kept swinging me back in to the top 500 ! which blew me away, as the "official" active player count was over 100,000. Note I fully expected to finish in the 20,000 - but not as well as I did.

This was the best I have ever done in an unbracketed event, (from a tier point of view), with the least amount of effort I have ever put into a 10 day PvE. Either everyone quit playing on day 3, or some "rubberband" effect was working to keep my standing near my initial top 300 day 2 standing.

If the latter, it would be interesting to note at what point your piton gets fixed so the bungee keeps bouncing you back up close to that point.

Mixed feelings here. I lucked out and got a Black Panther from token and a black Hulk from the glitched early access Hulk fight which was nice.

However every fight for the entire event after the connection lose on the first day were 230 for me. I was told that based on my PVE MMR this is what I should be fighting. So... I did not play much in this event and ended up in the bottom reward tier. I am glad that many people are reporting better scaling but I will say that at the upper end nothing but 230 fights starting day one is still occurring. They are aware of the problem and are going to try to improve it but for me this Hulk event was way worse than the last one.

And before it is said yea I tried restarting the client/phone which for some people lowered the enemy levels but mine stayed 230. After contacting support I was told my PVE MMR says I should have been facing 230s.
