Cracking top 100 snags a black hulk--seems like most of our team hasn't started fearless defenders yet after a grueling simulator run. Having it max at 5 or 7 days just makes it much more appealing and less painful.

For me, 457 pts is good enough for 2nd so far, just ahead of ganjadude and superwang. icon_lol.gif

Oh and regarding the facebook sharing--I am in the land of the great firewall. But whenever I can next get on vpn I'll set up an acct dedicated to sharing the MPQ loot. Will private msg you.
  • I am #5 with 306 points. I will do 1-2 push later tonight for the 600s and hopefully finish tomorrow in the 700+ area. I expected competition to be fierce since Black Hulk is extremely rare but I had no idea which bracket to choose this time. I entered one this morning hoping the west EU would still be sleeping or driving to work (I am in the GMT+2 zone). This leaves only the US and Asian players. My hope is that US will be working when the pvp ends, but US is huge and covers 3-4 time zones so it's very difficult to choose a time when everyone is unavailable. Asia presents a similar problem which makes this finish time (7pm for me) easy to play in, but difficult to defend my position. I think I can get a top 10 with 700-750 points.

    Team composition is 85 3/5/5 OBW + 99 3/5/5 Patch + 99 3/5/5 Punisher. Oh, how I miss Ares.

Initial plan for Fearless Defenders was to enter a bracket by tanking the 3 seed teams and then languish at 0 points. That got thrown out of the window when I realised my next 12-15 matches gave me an average of 29-32 points. Last I checked, I was #2 with 400+ points for Fearless, haha. I really have no goal for this one so we'll see how it goes. With Hulk at 5/1/2, I really should aim for top10 but I'm not dying to level Hulk and so the incentive is less. But of course, a promising Alliance rank is always an incentive so good luck, everyone!

Team composition is 85 3/5/5 OBW + 85 5/5/3 Thor.NOW! + 115 3/5/3 Punisher, and I would loathe it if I came up against you, Narkon, because 5yellow Patch is annoying, prolongs the game and that leads to all sorts of trouble with Punisher and OBW =) On the contrary, I don't miss Ares.
  • haha. Yeah, mine is 5/1/1 and I am mostly going for the red, since black may not be reachable even with 10 members, but even I don't get that red (unlikely but you never know) it won't hurt much. I am also reluctant to throw any ISO on him because he doesn't do anything useful other than making the matches longer.

I have no idea what to do with Punisher and Patch. As you saw they are both 99 because I like more this number than 100+ and because, for a time, I thought that the higher level characters you own the harder the pve enemies become. I read some days ago that the enemy levels depend only on how well you did in past pve events, but I am still not certain if that's entirely true. I would hate to see enemies at 200+ from the start just because I have 1-2 heroes at 110-120.
  • Just applied! I'm just started on Fearless. Sitting at about 200 points, running Wolvie/Cstorm/Eminem. My Punisher is 2/3/2 and not quite combat ready yet. Hope we can nab a Hulk cover - where are we in the rankings?

I am installing Warframe right now and I don't want to open another Steam game while I do that (it can make a mess of the installation). If another commander doesn't approve you until I open the game, I will do it in the next 1-2 hours.

You should look at leveling them both to at least 120. Until you get past 100 they are actually weaker than a 2* at 85. The math was done in one of the threads on here, but at 120 or so there is a 15% power increase from 100 and then a 30% increase at max level. I have my patch at 130 and have enough ISO to max him out but I might just hold off for some more 3* cap covers. He looks to be a beast at 141.

The enemy levels have been far better lately in the pve events for me. I think they have gotten the scaling more dialed in. I also only play the pve events once per refresh and try to time it so a refresh comes up an hour or two before the end. I think regardless of roster if you just grind away the levels will skyrocket. One clear every 8-12 hours has made it far more enjoyable and still allows for relatively high placement.

I'll make my push in fearless defender later tonight. I'll try to hit 700-800 and then just shield when I am within 8 hours of finishing. With all the new members I think we should be in good shape to be in the top 100 for a black cover.

I doubt I will level anyone past 121. The ISO they need for the last 20 levels is ridiculous and I prefer having multiple capable characters to choose from because if 1-2 of the maxed are locked out of a mission or a pvp, you are left with the weaker heroes to fight.

Same here. With the exception of the 3rd set of subs which was brutal, the others, especially the 4th, were fine. Most enemies in Hard were around 110-125 and the levels went up only after I won in 4-5 missions. After losing 4-5 matches with heroes with high health the levels came down to the original levels, so it seems the scaling will be better in the future events. I didn't even made a full clear every rotation. I entered the event 1.5 days after it started (6-7 hours before the end of the first subs ended) and I only played the missions that were keeping the next mission locked. Once all missions were open I stopped and made a full clear in the last rotation.

    Welcome, DeLegibus!

Kareis, I see you in the queue--please confirm you're fine with contributing the 1300 hp needed to open up the next slot.
  • Ah, guess it's up to 1300 now? Bloody work. Havnt been able to message all day and lost my slot :/
  • Guess I have no choice, ill pony up the 1300

Sorry Tarquos. We waited until 5-6 pm, but then we decided to approve the 2 other pending members who were waiting. 100 or 200 HP is not a big deal. I have no entered yet in the current pve, but the subs will most likely give more than enough HP to the top 10-50. I will approve you now.
  • Thanks. Nah it's not a huge deal but I have exactly 600 hp - I can buy hp as a pack of 600 XD nvm, I'll get one up from there when I can get back on -_- cheers
  • Question for those who started already - planning on abusing rubber banding all I can, so I won't join a bracket for pve until tomorrow during the time gmt is in rush hour and est is still at work - can anyone confirm the first sub or however this is setup won't end within 24 hours?

Edit to prevent spam posting - got the hp needed, just need the ability to pay it icon_e_smile.gif
  • I was in the top 50 for Fearless Defenders before I went to bed, but now I'm sitting around 130. I'll put some work in tonight and then about an hour before the event closes. It looks like our alliance is in the top 140 so I have hope for us cracking the top 100, but if not the tier below is a nice reward. I can use some ISO and HP before the Wolverine event.

I'm running a 3/5/5 lvl 85 OBW, 5/5/3 lvl 85 thor, and for now a 3/2/3 level 77 Punisher. I'm tempted to sub out the Punisher with a 5/5/3 classic storm, 5/5/3 lvl 73 (which could be leveled maybe another 4 levels?) wolverine or a 3/3 lvl 64 Doom. Storm is too squishy for PvP and it seems that most teams that use Wolverine have a higher level Wolverine than I do. Maybe Doom instead of Punisher. Anyone have any thoughts?

I have the same question. I don't want to enter too early in main in order to avoid the hardcore players so I think I will join tomorrow noon. This should give me 7-8 hours to play the subs.

The event started 7pm for me and ends 7am so if the subs are 24h each, they have to release a sub that is 36h to have the event finish at 7am.

It's hard to tell. There dosen't appear to be any sub events. Once you beat the first mission it just opens up eight more missons on the globe. The text does say "new missions every day" for whatever that's worth. I'm not sure how long the current missions stay open.

If I'm reading correctly over on the general forum I don't believe there are sub brackets for this one. I think there are around 8 nodes on the main map and that's it. I'm also reading that enemy levels are jumping quite a bit and there are a bunch of goon nodes. I may join pretty soon to get started while most of the US is still working. It looks to end at midnight EST so I'll be able to play right up until the end of it.

I also read that new captain is getting the big buff in this event. 2* Thor, OBW, Cstorm, Patch and hulk are getting the minor buff. I plan on running captain, OBW and patch for this one. I might level my Cstorm up a bit more also to cut down on health pack use.

You definitely need to get rid of punisher from your lineup. Even though he is a higher level than your wolverine, wolvie is still stronger. For a quick comparison wolvie's green does 43 damage but punisher's only does 37. You should try to run with storm and see how that works out. The only color she will outright take is green, for blue it will depend on the order you place them since OBW does the same blue damage. Your thor is also not the most optimal build so his green is a bit weak. Storm's blue does more damage to the entire team than thor's does to the initial target.

The general rule is that a 3* doesn't overtake a max level 2* until level 100. It's tempting to use the 3* but most people see a sub 100 3* as an easy target.

Man, if I knew you were going to rename every character I listed I'd have posted all 31 of my characters. icon_e_smile.gif On a more serious note, thanks for the advice. I'll run with Lokisbro, Fishnets and Hallestorm for the remainder of the FD event.
  • Our fellowship has grown to 12 awesome players. Good luck to everyone in the events that will follow.

I have trouble finding opponents worth more than 25 points in FD so I'm calling it a day and going to bed. #1 with 592. So far looks like a slow bracket since I was attacked only twice all day.
