The carrier swarm doesn't have the impact it did in SC1. Fighters blacked out the sky like a plague of locusts and the enemy fell like wheat before the scythe. Sure the fighters were shot down, but you backed out the carriers and rebuilt.

Now the fighters have shorter range. Antiaircraft longer. Either way it's not what it was.

Unfortunately I need to follow up that post however with a decision I do not take lightly. I have decided to resign from Terran Dominion and from alliance play.

I would like to first mention though that most of you have been with us since the beginning and even those that joined more recently I admire your dedication and attitude through the best and worst of it all. While not all of us are top contenders we still managed highly respectable finishes in pretty much all events, to the surprise of more than a few it appears. More than once I have seen comments complimenting us on out solid finishes despite not requiring strict point margins, installing line, Facebook, signing away your DNA and tracking your whereabouts through a GPS anklet. We had a goal and we managed to finish very respectably consistently. Our three top 50 season finishes are testament to that.

At this point I would like to open the floor for any members who would like to take leadership of the guild to let one of the current commanders know. It may just not be leadership but more of the recruitment aspect that is the heavy lifting. It is quite difficult to find the right members and we have been extremely successful through the months with that replacing only about 7 members since we were created. I don't know if there is any alliance that can claim a retention rate that we can. I personally would like to nominate Gamar for recruitment lead but he also is more casually geared since BP managed to convince him to stay with those sexy latina dance videos. I suspect many of us may not feel the drive we used to, a side effect of playing so hard for so long. So even if you are newer feel free to speak up. I will be leaving the alliance tomorrow morning after the pve rewards come in, I do have some kind of score in the current pve and that is better than nothing. I will probably finish the final refresh as well. Joined a late bracket and I feel the need to deny three Shieldbro covers to the literally 9 other one star rosters surrounding me.

I will still play occasionally without being in an alliance if I want to or like the look of some rewards, so you will get to take a crack at me still in various events, but I need to take a break for myself. I also just got word that I can move into my Condo that has been pending for the better part of a year and I do not exactly need moving out and getting everything in order contending with pve refreshes and pvp end times. I think the hammer fell when I was competing in the last pve and realized I really like the game but I hate how it requires me to play on demand. I can only take so much of that before I realized my roster was actually that developed, the odds of getting what I need to advance is almost non existent and I am grinding so hard just for you guys and not myself.

I will be making some kind of post in the general thread, see if anyone actually knows who I am, some days it is hard to tell. Thanks again for the good times. I could not ask to be surrounded by a better group of people.

Chimaera, you have been an awesome commander. I especially want to thank you for keeping me in mind when this alliance first started and there were no spots available at the time. I have had fun playing in this alliance with you, and I know that my roster would not be where it is today without your efforts and gaming tips. Thanks for how you have kept us as one of the top alliances, and thanks for how you encouraged us without having to slave drive us into winning. Best of luck to you as you move on. Again, thanks for how you have led us.

Game is acting wonky for me too. First it told me I had been logged out by another device (and I don't play on any other devices) and now I get occasional "cannot connect to leaderboards" errors. D3 needs new hamsters.

I had a weird issue this morning. I checked our standing in PvE and it showed we had a member called hero3 but I dont see him in PvP or on our alliance roster.

Huh. I see Hero3 too. That was the player who had applied to join as a member but no one knew who he was and he had a weak roster, so we dismissed him. So there's apparently something weird going on with alliance points.

This is happening in many other alliances as well. No one knows for sure. We assume it's hackers, or maybe another D3 mistake.

I had some issues recently with awards but that got sorted out a little bit later.

So... you know those guards that come with food slicers? Yeah, there are really good reasons to use those.

In other words, I was an idiot and sliced a bit of my thumb off while preparing veggies and had to spend a couple hours in statcare. Fun.

Yes, I'm fine. Just annoyed with myself. Would be nice if I could get some sort of handicap from d3 for this, though. Few hundred points an event or something.

Nice job with this feeding frenzy of a pvp everyone. Mags, glad to see that your thumb wasn't hampered in this last pvp. You made a killing.

Just a heads up: I'll be on a work retreat this coming weekend (Aug. 1st - Aug. 3rd) with limited internet. I'll try to log in some playing time, but it will most likely be limited to a few hours on Sunday evening. I'll do my best to rack up as many points on Thursday night depending on what pve looks like and what pvp event is to come.
