It looks like they will add the missing card to the bfz pool by the end of this month.

So how many packs did you save until now?

Here is mine

I can't think of any cards that I want that aren't available yet. Mostly I'm after Prism Array, Part The Waterveil, Akoum Hellkite, Exert Influence...

What's not available yet that looks really good?

Titan's presence, omnath, shrine, angelic captain, twin...... off the top of my head, brood butcher would also be good for an eldrazi deck, march from tomb can also have synergy with goggles in a gideon 2 ally deck

I know some of these cards have been offered and people have them but for those who dont, saving packs till they release them in boosters is more reasonable

I'm definitely going to start stockpiling shortly now that you brought it up! Even though I'm missing numerous mythics that are already available...

I've been playing for a long time and I'm still missing over 30 mythics and 30 rares. Using all my packs for the slightly better odds.

I saved heaps of Origins packs because I had most of the cards I wanted and I thought maybe they'd transfer to the new set. With BFZ I am still chasing cards I want because the drop rates are so low and I just don't have the Will power to save them.
Has anybody been back and brought a origins pack and if so is the rare and mythic drop rate noticeably different?

I got a couple of big boxes over the last few months of saving up crystals. Not worth it imo. I think one of the boxes only yielded 2 rares and 0 mythics, and this is with the game now GUARANTEEING a rare per big box. GmfG

Edit: this was the result of the big box actually

    Origins big box:

    0 mythic
    3 rares(including the guaranteed one)
    30 uncommon
    38 common

Okay so packs saved were in fact converted to the "new" one.
Meaning all packs have the pool consisting of all bfz cards and the new cards without the exclusive ones.

Fat pack consists of 4 packs + 1 oath of gatewatch card
Big box 14 packs + 1 oath pack.

On paper I was like oh god yessssss

    The result is TOTALLY UNDERWHELMING.

got some nice cards but damn:
I SAVED A TOTAL OF 11 5-card BOOSTERS, 5 FAT PACKS AND 3 BIG BOXES.
That a total of 11x5 plus 5x4x5(+5 bonus cards) plus 3x15x5

    That's 385 CARDS.
I did not expect to get a full collection, nonetheless all the cards I really wanted.... Exert influence, undergrowth champion, veteran warleader to name just a few...

But what the hell! I got a firebird AND THATS IT!!!!! I got some other duplicatr mythics. 2 I think. And it is not like I'm have all of them!
    Thanks for trolling too game.

When you stack packs you really realize how much the chances for rare or mythics need to be adjusted...
With such an high number of packs, in the first versions of the game you would have an almost full collection.

Think I will stack free and event packs from now on till drop change or until I simply no longer care.

I took a look at my mythic list for bfz.
I had(before firebird) 5 mythics out of 24 yes TWENTYFOUR
And I get 2 out of 3 mythics(already low amount for the number of packs opened) as duplicates.

    I am speechless really...

I bought a bit over 5 Big Boxes since I started couple weeks ago, yet struggle to get even a full collection of Uncommons...let alone the few rares I need for White/Green...and forget mythics...awful awful odds.

This is absurd...its the type of thing that makes people quit games...They really need to change these odds, its awful...I will save my money in that case after reading your post.

Ouch. That result really sucks. Thanks for posting it - I sometimes waver on my "spend no money" stance with this game, and your horrible experience reinforces my willpower.

Still, I feel your pain. I've had similar things happen in MPQ (buy a couple of 40-cover packs, receive zero useful 4*'s).

I was pretty happy with my results. I saved a fatpack, 6 normal boosters, and 2 small boosters.

I got a Sire of Stagnation (probably will never play it, but it's neat to have), Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, Goblin Dark Dwellers and Shrine of Forsaken Gods.

Yep the results from saved packs were underwhelming. I wonder if you are right... that the chances of getting rares and mythics are stacked too with the stacked booster packs.

I had 7 fat packs and 4 regular 5 card boosters saved and got zero mythics

    Not even duplicates

Hello devs PLEASE increase the odds of getting high rarity cards in boosters. Getting rares and mythics will NOT make us wanna play your game less..... but not getting them, when you have been so excited and have been grinding senselessly in QB to save boosters, definitely will.

Basically after this pack opening I got these huge improvements to decks:

    - firebird in red
    - from beyond in green that I tried in my nissa. Card is great but has anti sinergy with evolutionary leap so I took it out. Would advice to try it out to others anyways.

Phew these new cards really revolutions my gameplay it took so long to figure out these two changes!!!!

To be fair, I believe the devs who actually read the forums don't have any control over the drop rates, pricing, etc. Development has been pretty responsive and whatnot, but on the topic of drop rates they don't say anything because it's not their place to comment.

In paper magic, a pack is 15 cards and a mythic is inserted about one per 8 packs. So, on average, about 1 card in 120 is Mythic. If you were to open a pile of 335 paper cards, you'd also receive about 2-3 Mythics.

I don't think the problem is the drop rate so much as the price, and the fact that you can't actually do anything useful with the duplicates. If 5-card packs were 99 cents, 20-card Fat Packs were $2.99 and 70-card Big Boxes were $9.99, and if you could convert your duplicates into a specific card you need, then it wouldn't feel so bad to open so much product and get jank.
