    Pros:
Scaling is per node and not tied to the entire sub... you can go after the big point - 5 wave with boosted JeanBuster without causing issues for your 1-covered Jonny Storm essential node.

I know there was a ton of complaining about having to replay wave nodes without further rewards, but I preferred getting the 1000 iso or gold token on the first clear to having to clear 9-15 times to get them.

like the replacement of crit boost, it was only due to sub 1 being a 48h sub, where crit boost had always been removed. in sub 2 they are back in full force.

only people who were already grinding 9 (or 15) times each sub will actually beneficiate from more iso
otherwise, even with iso rewards added, with the juicy reward being diluted (ie harder to get), youll get less or at best the same for equivalent grinding as before

Not only that but they reduced the number of iso rewards, far less 200 and 500 and more 70, 100, and CBS back into play. This was a lemon of events.

Its still good ISO. From this event I've been able to max and champ a 4* a full week ahead of when I expected to AND put 100 lvls on another 4*. (the increased daily rewards did help too for that 2nd one.)

So while it's soul-crushingly repetitive , watching-paint-dry monotonous, "Wait- what wave am I on?" wearisome, "I can't believe its only day 4" tedious, "What's wrong with my life that I expect MPQ to fill the emptiness" laborious...... the ISO isn't an illusion. icon_e_wink.gif

For 48 hours it wasn't an illusion and many were all "look they've finally listened to us and limited the cb and raised over 70 iso rewards." Now it's back to the same dumpy rewards except you can get 2 more of them from the harder nodes, but by the eighth and ninth rounds most people are scaled out anyways.

Those 48 hrs were great, but for the drag that this event is, they should have kept those rewards going, especially when we have so many wave battles. Just having cb and 70 iso is disgraceful. ****, I'd rather have old system where my battles didn't scale up when repeating them rather than increased crazy scaling just for a tiny bit of iso.

So yeah, we can cheer all we want for those first 48 hrs, but don't ignore the reality of the remaining five days. And more importantly, they're not understanding that difficult nodes should reward something to make playing them repeatedly at the harder levels worthwhile.

Not ignoring anything. While ISO rewards can always be better, these have still been quite the nice ISO boost for me when compared to other weeks, even past those first 48hrs. Sorry, its not working out the same for you.

the problem is that the best rewards (500 iso, cp) have been diluted
so for the same grinding as before, you do get more chance to get 250 but less to have 500 and cp, so the statistical result is basically the same (except as I said for people who were already grinding 9 times each node)
what it allows is to earn more ONLY IF you are ready to play more and harder (except again when scaling prevent you from beating the 8th / 9th times for the harder nodes (curious to see what the opinions will be when Gorgon / Wolverine will appear with feeders ) but it is not more generous

please note that I dont personnaly have had problems to grind even hardest nodes, (and of course CP always dropped only in 14th/15th or 9th position)
I have even had fun. but that has nothing to do with the new system and entirely with the boosted characters (JG/IF/SW against ninjas : yes please, more of that icon_e_wink.gif )
WHAT worries me is this situation but in Venom Bomb or The hunt with Mr Fantastic / Cho Hulk / Spiderman/ Ragnarok boosted
and also D3 presenting improvements which are actually ... uh... not really^^

This has been a very un-fun event for me.

    Pro:
    I like the extra ISO
Hitting max progression at the beginning of sub 4 is rather nice.

    Con:
The scaling sucks tinykitty. My top three characters (which determine scaling) were: 453 Phoenix, 420 OML (locked out, of course), and 389 Jean (can't use with Phoenix). So I'm being hit with level 440-470 enemies in the top nodes. That might be an interesting challenge once. But doing it repeatedly sucks donkey tinykitties. Luckily, I was able to level my Surfer to 391. He's not great, for a 5*, but he is useful, especially with OML locked out.

Related to that, I looked at my leaderboard, and the top-10 in my bracket has two 5* players and 8 4*. I wonder if that's considered success.

The time required is absolutely ridiculous. I finished turning all nodes green in the third sub in about 16 hours. That was good enough for top-10 (barely). That wasn't playing straight through, of course, but it does say something about how long it takes.

If you grind every node to the point where they stop increasing in difficulty (ie never do any of the nodes at their hardest level) then you'll still make it.

You wouldn't even need to do that much tbh. A little over 3 clears per node should get it done. With 3 days to go I am less than 12K away and I didn't finish all clears on any of the subs. Sub 1 I did the most just missing 3 on the final node when it scaled me out. Day 2 I decided not to push past 5 clears, today did 5 in most nodes and 6 in a couple to try to get the event token and CP.

Con: usually with three clears in a sub I am placed high enough to get the cover reward for that sub and end up in the top 200 which gives me a three star cover. Now I don't have the time and energy to grind everything down until I'm done, which means I don't make my placement. Sure, clearing whenever you want is a good thing, but if you have limited time, then the old system is actually better.

Rewards can be really good if you get lucky.

    Con:
5-6h for full clear every 24hrs is like having a second job that pays out poorly

They really need to have a dual set of rewards for nodes, the top 3-4 rewards coming out first and then you unlock a second set of rewards once you have got all of those.
