In normal mode (lvls 45-50) I was doing pretty good with max Wolv, Psy 80 and HT. HT deals nice cheap dmg, Psy and Wolvie buffing my dmg with Strike and Attack tiles and I can even steal some AP occasionally.

During the whole clean-up (I did all the missions once) I only used 2medpacks.

Ok, another tourney passed and once again we were able to finish in top10. Gratz to all of You

I think I won my bracket, still waiting for the rewards. EDIT: I won . My Rags is not 5/5. 75covers left.

Now we have the Venom Heroic, which, from what I read in our chat, is "demanding" for most of You at least. I haven't started Deadly Mode yet, but my first two repeatable missions show lvl 56 and 66, so I think I'll be fine. Thanks to all the ISO from the Hotshot tourney Betsy will get another 5 levels and hopefully she'll soon join the 100lvl being my fifth char to get there.

Mr Rogers will be next probably, with all the covers coming (3x3, so we can even respec him if we want to! ). Having 7250hp at lvl141 puts him in a tank zone and when I think of it he might actually be quite good in PvP (on offence, on defence only his high hp matters).

As for current events I really like limited rosters - allows us to try something new and in fact it's hard not to put some ISO into featured characters, thus making our rosters more versatile.

Heroic Venom
Who You run with? I'm using max Wolvie + Psy 80 + HT. Fights aren't very fast, but pretty doable.
Remember that we are 1 person short (who is visiting Napoleon's Tomb IIRC ), so I assume we will break our events-winning streak this time. We'll see how it's gonna turn out.

Good Is Bad
Same question - Your team? I'm running Ares 85 + Rags 60 + Daken 55. Daken's Black is the only ** covers I lack, grrrr
Team is quite good, especially as from what I see in my MMR not many people have decent teams to field in this tourney. My bracket so far looks pretty good, no famous nicknames/alliances. I slowly dig my way up without being hit (so far). I tried Venom instead of Rags, but it didn't work - not enough dmg and not enough hp.

Be sure to do Your best in the next couple of days - First Avenger tourney is coming, so all the Mr Rogers covers are very precious!

I won my Hot Shot bracket also. Another elusive red for my Rags and X-force is nice also.

Heroic Venom:
Running Storm + HT + BP, pretty much same strategy as Phantron. Works pretty well, although I got wiped out on the Rags/Daken/Bullseye fight twice. Was very lucky last night in that I got a black BP from my Fired Up token last night That damage boost is helping a lot.

I kinda screwed myself possibly in that I started both modes early thinking I had time to grind them, got interrupted, and couldn't get back to them until the next day. So I'm running behind in points relative to my bracket. I'm hoping rubberbanding will catch me up.

Good is Bad:
Ares/Daken/Venom on offense, Ares/Daken/Rags on defense. My Venom is maxed (from waaay back) and since Ares has green/red abilities covered, I like to have something to do with black/purple AP.

I've been avoiding the last two nodes with 3 villians though they might actually be easier than some of the combination of villian + goons (like Venom + anyone that generates purple). The essentials are still the easiest missions and I'm doing these to keep pace until the last refresh.

For bad is good I have Daken/Ares/Moonstone. I don't have Venom and Ragnarok is only level 35 or so, so those are my maxed characters. In retrospect Daken/Ares/Ragnarok probably works pretty well. There's almost no chance to use gravity warp effective in this tournament because Daken is everywhere, though getting 3 red for 8 purple is not the most terrible thing you can do.

Without prologue healing it's impossible to do Bad is Good in one go. especially when Rags is lower than lvl100 - Ares tanks all his colours and this way takes quite a beating. If not for Daken tanking purple and black (and slowly healing) it would be even worse. In the next installment of this tourney I'll definitely level Rags as high as possible. Not to mention the fact that with such limited roster having maxed Rags and Ares in one team means being skipped 99% times.
My bracket is slowly digging their way up - #1 is at 584pts. I'm doing the same - I grind around 150pts, then while waiting for healthpacks I'm hit for 40-100, then I get it back and reach another progression reward. I plan to get to 700 asap and then shield, hopefully it should be enough to win, but top5 is still fine.

I see quite a lot of You haven't started yet - take into consideration that the fights really take time and You need a lot of healthpacks. so plan Your timing accordingly. We're #27 right now, but the differences are quite small - 1k pts would put us in #6. But there is also a possibility that if other alliances get those 1k pts we might be thrown out of top50. So go earn some points for the scAvengers


As for Venom Heroic - I did most of the Deadly Mode missions yesterday. BP + MStorm truly rock, though I like Wolvie + Psy as well. If not for buffed HT it would be almost impossible to achieve anything, even though I still have quite decent levels (50-80).

BP has been my steadfast rock for the PvE. BP + MStorm + Torch/AWolv is my go-to team, and every fight is basically a race to get 12 K while spamming the s--- out of red and green.

Putting Rags up front helped a bit - he now tanks environment tiles

I actually had a game where I was able to have a clean Gravity Warp on Ares's Sunder tile (there were no strike tiles up from Daken at that point) and that probably saved the game, because I was already behind and that 2K turn around (1K damage to me and 1K heal to his Ares) would've sealed the game.

Moonstone ties with Ares in red, though I'm pretty sure nobody leveled her up.

Haven't had as much time to play with the spring workload.

I have been going with 30 Human Torch, 73 A-Wolv (constantly going up as I have been pumping ISO into him) and a 41 BP. It is pretty tough, I have been focusing more on the deadly.

For bad guys I have been using 75 Ares, 59 Daken, and then I have a 37 Moonstone and a 37 Bullseye...which one do you guys think is better in this situation?

My progression:

1. Good is Bad
I'm shielded at #1 with 812pts. #2 is 547, which makes 275pts difference. Safe top5, very probable #1, as there isn't much movement in my bracket and no one shields so far.
We're #18 total, 1k pts to reach top10, but we are safe in the 2-50 reward bracket.

2. Venom Normal Mode
I have 19.2k pts and I'm #60. Will do some more missions in a while probably. #1 is 24k pts.
We're #27 total, so another blue Captain for us.

3. Venom Hard Mode
I did a couple of missions recently as went as far as #8. Currently at #13 with 25.5k pts. #1 has 28.6k pts.
We're #17 total, but it's tight in here so I expect that we will probably end much better. Again - safe 2-50 reward bracket.

All the ISO earned will be put into BP (for the 2nd round of Venom Heroic) and into Mr Rogers for the next tourney.

Tough choice. I find Moonstone more useful and Bullseye more annoying. Given that many players will have run afoul with Bullseye in Venom Heroic you'll probably get more skips if you field him instead of Moonstone.

Yeah, I was going to skip Bullseye until I remember that he's not level 230 like I usually see him in PvE events so his protect tiles aren't nearly as scary.

Keep in mind you absolutely will not be clearing Deadly in one go. If you got unlucky you might not even be able to clear the HT required missions twice (they're by far the easiest nodes) on 5 health packs.

I think I screwed myself on my bracket. I'm at 22.4k normal and 25.9k in deadly, but only rank 100 and 120 respectively. I know my points aren't that high but I figure it should at least be enough to be safe in top 100.

Bad is good is going a little better. Top 10 or 5 should be pretty doable.

Seems counter productive. You're reducing your rubber banding on your high nodes for later and you won't have full stacks on the lower ones. Your best bet is to wait. Use the high ones to jump back to top ten and use low ones to grind if you want to make a push for first

Second turn of Venom - once again we get Mr Rogers covers. Is there anyone in the scAvengers who don't have his Blue power fully covered after today? Cos TBH I think we should approach this round with no stress and just do the missions whenever we want. Being 20person quite dedicated alliance we will end top100 the worse at least. Top50 will be fine just for the ISO.
Of course if there's anyone who doesn't have full Red and Yellow, they should do their best to finish top20 personal.
