Would someone care to explain to me how it is productive to attack members of your own alliance in PVP? I've been attacked twice by fellow "alliance" members and was curious as to how this benefits our alliance...
Thanks0 -
I doubt people know who all 19 other guys offhand given the relative lack of way to know who they are in game.
At any rate, I've found that if you got two guys with similar rating and the rest of your matchup list is considerably below your rating, it's not a bad idea to attack each other back and forth because let's say you got 500 and so does another guy, and most of your opponents are in the 300 range. If you hit someone in the 300 range, you get 10 points and they eventually retaliate you for -35 and that's bad. If you hit guy with 500, you gain 25 and they lose 21 points, and then they hit you back for 25 and you lose 21, but you each gained 4 points after. This is better than a net loss of 25 points, and you should always count on a team 200 points below you to retaliate unless you think that team can't possibly have a chance if they fought back. By retaliating over and over, you minimize the number of other players with low score that will see you. Yes, it does nothing toward you just showing up on someone's matchup list, but looking at the way some people remained unattacked, I'm thinking you're a lot less likely to appear on another person's list unless you did something to provoke them. That is, you'll notice there are guys unshielded with 800 points that never seem to be attacked, and it's hard to imagine why their team would be so strong that nobody would go for a 40 point win.
Obviously this won't work all the time, but if you're particularly ahead of the field, it's usually a good idea to let as few people have you on retaliation as possible.0 -

I'd bet it was just overlook.0 -
How are looking in the end of the Simulator? Will anyone have any problems in grinding the last hours (work/ sleep/ etc)?
Currently we're top40 in Normal and top20 in Hard, I hope we can get back to top10 in both. I'm awaiting full rubberbanding to grind again - works pretty good, as my levels hasn't changed at all.
In Hood we have obvious safe top50, so BP for everyone. I'm shielded till the end at #1 with 747pts, 200pts above #2. Will wake up at 5.30 though just to check if I won't lose it.0 -
I'm with 222k now, and could collect 10k more to reach the bracket leaders that I leave for later. With more than a day left maybe the 8k ISO will be reachable after all... Though I'm not sure I can arrange to play the final fours.
Probably it's about time to start playing in hood...0 -
Hey guys. It's nice to be back! I was so excited to see our name at the top of the overall Simulator ranking last night. I hope my 199K points can help put us back there today! I'm about to do another round of grinding on the easy mode & then start the Outlaw tournament.0

I'm thinking more & more, but any Patch build doesn't make a great teammate for LazyThor. You want to save green for Thor, while his strong colors in red & yellow nerf Patch's Best There Is. You really need to consider Patch with his own team. I think LazyThor works great with Punisher (cover black & red) and Hood/OBW
With that in mind, 5/3/5 is going to kill some of your teammates if u don't have Spiderman to stun or Magneto to remove the opponent's attack tiles. It might also make a scarier defensive player, though, since your opponent will know he'll waste health packs if you get Rage off & they can't stun you.
3/5/5 is the safest build for all-around offense since 3 in Rage is easy to control (almost 2000 initial damage & waiting until you have a purple match usually results in at least one of the three opponents tiles being matched right away) & if Patch can tank at least two colors then Best There Is can get you ~4k damage or more if the board is kind.
I'm at 4/4/5 & have an extra green cover from the recent tournament. But, I think I'm going to wait for an extra red cover since my spiderman & Magneto both have low covers.0 -
I got screwed out of being able to grind at one of the simulator round's end so that is likely gonna keep me out of the tops, but I'll still finish in the money.
Current round:
#9 25120 Normal
#8 34405 Hard
I started grinding the Outlaw event, passed the 300 mark, and got another Hood cover from a corrupt token, my 2nd Black making him 2/5/2!0 -

Same here. 4/4/5 and I didn't sell the green&yellow covers for possible experimenting -- though not likely to have time for that.
I mostly run him with mags and 4 G looks mush better than 3 but just don't feel for 5 really.
Also have some consideration for 4/5/4 as last red adds quite a kick to damage but I hardly recall opportunity to use that ability and if so only on game already won (or last time with buffed thor and zero tiles for patch so rather used 2 hammers.0 -
Patch and Thor works fine. Berserker Rage, Thunder Strike, Berserker Rage again (or Call the Storm if your cascade was massive enough). They'll still almost certainly be dead because of the massive cascades caused by Thunder Strike while you've Berserker Rage out. But Thor has higher red and yellow than Patch, so that interferes with both Patch's tanking ability and The Best There Is, and defensively they don't work out well because the AI doesn't combo abilities and you do want to save for Call the Storm here. This is probably better for PvE than PvP because for PvP, a simple Call of the Storm is generally more than enough. Berseker Rage + Thunder Rage + Berserker Rage deals significantly more damage to a single person, so much that it usually works like an AE in PvP since it overkill a guy by a lot, but Call the Storm is more reliable when you don't have to worry about guys with 5 digit HPs.0

Outlaw looks completely deserted. however spies report over 750 you only see SHIELD folks so 1100 is not really feasible.
My bracket is led by mr. Checkbook, maxed hood and Lazy Thor but not quite anything else, especially no leveled **s. Guess bought a bunch of 10-packs or tokens then direct covers. Sits unshielded over 900. Second around 550. I stopped at 540 #6 with defense team, probably play on just in the last 3 hours or when everyone else shields -- currently no one.
The HP at 500 not there again .
The daily supply just revealed Yellow Hood coming in 10-ish days.0 -
How r your simulators looking?
I'm top easy 32k
Haven't touched hard yet.
Unfortunately bad ending time may screw me again.
Tonight I will start hard and top easy.
Emerty, keep me in mind when you see overall score and hard mode scores and if you like add whatever 1st place is.
Looking at essential in hard mode. I have 6k, 6k, and 5.5k
I'm 40k behind 1st in overall so safe to assume I can get 40k with a good grind.0 -
I have almost 6k pts per mission in Hard, so I guess I'll grind after a couple of hours. Normal is full rubber x5, so the time is now.
Doing my best to get those 2 hours before the end tomorrow, but everything is against me.0 -
I'm sitting at 28432 #32 in normal, 41226 #11 in hard, 229305 #14 overall. I haven't even started outlaw yet. I did just notice that the rewards today for the simulator are just regular heroic tokens so I'm just going to try to hold top 10 overall, but not over stress grinding. I'm about to jump into outlaw now.0

Emeryt before the final refresh:
#2 in General
#3 in Normal Mode (enemies lvl 80 in Essentials, 100 in the rest) - 33k pts
#25 in Hard Mode (lvl 90 in Essentials, 130 in the rest) - 37k pts
exactly 230k pts total.
Still #1 in Unholy Outlaw at 736pts, but #2 is shielded at 717 and people start pushing. but I feel rather secure. In the last hour the scAvengers earned more than 800pts! Good job! Be sure to secure those BP covers, so try to stay in top10.
As for the Simulator, please try Your best. We have a chance for a really good result. About 2hrs ago we even went to #2. Right now we're jumping #4-6. Each point is worth a lot, so keep on grinding!0 -
You guys are doing great. If you keep up at this rate, I might forget all about 5 Deadly Venoms.
Good luck on the last few hours!0 -
OK guys I came to a realization. If you plan on shielding attack fellow alliance members (only 1x) this way when we do retaliate you won't lose points.
Also if you are shielding post here your shield status and how many hours are left after posting.
I could of attack 2 alliance members (phantron and maghwyn) but passed. Upon looking back at the situation it would of helped us all.0
