Hi everyone,

It's time to shoot over to Marvel.com to uncover details for Kate Bishop, the first Young Avenger to arrive in Marvel Puzzle Quest!

MPQ producer, Josh Austin provides a run down of Bishop's abilities and first screenshots are on display.

Josh Austin: Her first ability, Ruthless Precision, costs 12 Blue AP. Not one to futz around, Kate deals damage and creates a countdown tile. While this tile is on the board enemies cannot gain health. This will definitely help players fight opponents like Wolverine and it does great damage to boot."

    Regardless of how much I hate that this is the fifth new character release in a 30-day period (SPOILER WARNING: it's a lot) I want to say I at least appreciate you guys getting your Yiddish right with "futz around."

    *Note that Kate Bishop is available in the Simulator event. The article lists Oscorp: Heroic which is outdated info.

    Say what you will about the Demiurge team, but they clearly love Matt Fraction's Marvel runs.

    Why would anyone EVER want to pair her with Green Goblin, when he would passively (and uncontrollably) fortify tiles which the same interview stated you'd want to remove yourself??

    Wait. I'm not saying she's a bad choice but Who asked for this character? I'm sure they're plenty of other characters that people been wanting for ages. Nightcrawler is one of them. You guys might as well gives us a 4* Magento.

    I'm betting the answer to "Who asked for this character?" is Demiurge themselves. There are two comics we know they're particular fans of -- the Fraction/Aja/Wu Hawkeye run and Gillen/McKelvie's Young Avengers. The one character who stars in both is.....Kate Bishop.

    She was someone I have asked for, along with other characters from YA. Maybe we can get some Runaways someday too!

    I've asked for her repeatedly in character surveys. I still think they've dropped the ball in not having March's PvP season be all women.

    Maybe next year (which I said in 2015, too).

    I say this as someone who very much dislikes Kate Bishop, every character is somebody's favorite character. Doesn't matter if it's Nightcrawler or Darkhawk. Someone wants that character in the game.

    Credit where it's due, the Fraction/Aja/Wu Hawkeye is pretty amazing & cool. Interesting that they basically butchered Kate in MPQ with such poor abilities.

    True, you wouldn't want to fortify the tile that damages her, but you do want to fortify the tile that prevents healing!

    Her max stats have been posted. AP to damage ratio of her abilities are good to great, so I don't think she suffered any disservice.

    But... you can't decide which CD icon_greengoblin.png fortifies... It's just automatic. I guess you could just not use her blackflag.png at all since Green Goblin's is better, hmm.
