IOS 7.1 issue - can't start the game anymore

Still cant play, this is terrible, will we have to wait for a brand new patch to play again or will this fix itself without a new download?

I'm still holding on to iOS 6.1.3, so I can play, but after each and every battle the game goes into an eternal load that never ends. The only thing I can do to stop it is close the game entirely, then reopen it. It's a huge pain, but not as huge as not being able to play.

I hope our issues are connected and when they fix the iOS 7.1 issue, that it also fixes my issues too. I'm sure that no one is worrying as much about me and the 2 other people still using iOS 6 as the rest of you using an up-to-date OS.

Any chance we can get an update from the Devs on this? I've tried playing Marvel War of Heroes in the interim while while MPQ is down on my iPhone 4S, but unfortunately WoH is a terrible, terrible game.

Of course, the push notifications still come through, so it can tease you with the ongoing events. This is especially frustrating given the nature of games like this - a hamster wheel where you need to play to get the latest character, so that you can compete in the next event that requires that character. This bug prevented me from getting the new Thor, so it's a big setback. And who knows what is now happening...

I couldn't see if anyone had noted it, but Puzzle Quest 2 also hangs on load and I'm missing it badly!

Yes I spent real money on this game and just before I downloaded the update. I'm not happy with this right now. Any comments from developer oiled be appreciated...something other than we are working on it. Missed progressions in hulk event, missed daily rewards, missed current events.....this is my hold over game ....should I look for a replacement? I want my $40 back that I put in like 1-2 days before this **** happened.

I actually registered to this forum today after experiencing this bug myself. I was playing the game, no problem, until the Hero Lightning Rounds began and I started getting that unending loading screen after every fight and would be forced to restart the application entirely. I figured this was because my iPhone was out of date, since that was the solution last time this happened.
Now after the update, much like the rest of you I assume, the game does not function at all. I have actually been playing this game for over 90 days and this is the first serious issue I have really come across. While its frustrating to likely lose out on my progress in the two events and shots in the lightning rounds, I hope that they find a solution soon so that I can continue playing in the future, as I do like this game. Although, seeing that this forum is a week old already is a bit distressing to say the least. I checked the twitter feed and I did not see anything on the issue either, though maybe its buried in older posts already.
I already submitted a ticket before finding this forum topic, hopefully there will be some news either here or there soon. If I get a message from them I'll try to relay it here for anyone else wanting updates.

My phone finally forced me to do the update this morning and now I get the title splash screen then it kicks me back to my home screen. I feel bad for those of you who have dealt with this for a while now.
