Oh dear god. Prof X seems to be my saving grace this run through, which with Patch would be nice. Maybe Iron Fist to get an immediate attack tile, let both IF and Venom die and just start invisible-ing?
here is my advice for this node (worked on first try):
enemy level: Patch, Jean & Cyclops @ 424 (!!!)
my team:
Venom Eddie Brock (3/4/2) @ 230
ProfX (5/3/5) @ 216
Elektra (3/5/5) @365
rush for black and hide elektra; steal strike tiles from patch with elektra.
kill with absurd high damage (comes from attack & strike tiles) of profX passive and elektra's red.
if needed go invisble with prof0 -

Can anyone offer some advice for sim 36 IF/cage/blade with a predominantly 3* roster?
I've tried patch/Loki, cap/im40 and winfinite but it's scaled so high that the combination of the attack tile and the inevitable strike tiles kills me before I can gather enough AP to get going.0 -

Yep, hulkbombing got me through by the skin of my teeth. 55k HP is a lot to eat through0 -
I have worked hard on my roster the past few weeks and was looking forward to maybe beating my first gauntlet (after ~400 days of playing).
Now this run is simply beyond any proper scaling, it's ridiculous. Even with my best champed team, I just barely made it to half of the 2nd tier and with my much better roster I even fail sooner than the last runs. In my current node 27 I have to fight a lvl 304 Thor/Rhulk/Cyke with a team that has 27.600 hp against the enemy with 61.496 hp, where I cannot really prevent their AP powers from hitting over such a long match.
Surely the CW scaling has negatively affected this PVE event. Would be nice to get a word from the devs, if this REALLY is their intention. Usually I want to make progress in a game over time, and not be blasted back into the stone age of impossible matches. Reaaaally frustrated by this.0 -
Along with the Patch/Loki teams mentioned above, I'd like to recommend the following
1) Switch/GSBW/PX
2) IF/QS/PX
3) KK/IM40/LCap (Node 30)
4) Loki/IM40/LCap (Nodes 27/28)
Many of those take some time and luck on the boards to keep rolling, but I am past 30 now and going to keep going.0 -
I've been using GSBW/BP/Hood to great effect in this gauntlet. If your BP is higher than Hood, he completely tanks for him.0

It took two days and a lots, lots of luck to finish Gauntlet (well I still have Wilderness-essentials to clear but that will get done once I have full set of health packs. I had to use whales only once (on Sim39 with JG, Ironman and Thor; my best bets outside of winfinite, but that would be no-no against JG) and boosts only twice, but it was only to save time and nerves (on Eddie Brock-essential and Beast-essential with Baglady, PX and Howard the Duck (who wants to clear all those invisibility nodes).
This wasn't fun at all since the last nodes of Wilderness I practically used only two teams: winfinite and 4hor/IM40-combo with either Rulk or JG. The scaling was so crazy that other teams wouldn't had the chance. And even poor Xavier must be exhausted with mind-f**king teams with 30-40k health per character to their defeat...0 -
Just died 3 times on 39 (JG/IMHB/Thor) due to cascade into match 5s before I could get purple to whale it. This node really is just all luck isn't it?0

I used LDaken/hulk/Lthor on that one. Hulk took damage and generated green for Dakens strike tiles and I thor's green too, targeting if, then blade then cage.0 -

Looks like you can do winfinite. I cleared it with mine, managed to down loki before his steal tiles could trigger.0 -
I usually look forward to the gauntlet, but this is the most joyless iteration of the event I've come acrossin just under 500 daya of playing. I've never seen black nodes before. Devs, why did you jack up the difficulty? It was PERFECT before?0
