You know, it wouldn't take much re-configuring to substitute the Winter Soldier for the Hulk in this event -- a wild card character that both sides are after, his allegiance in question for much the storyline, and he can work as a dangerous solo character for those single Hulk nodes (when scaled in proportion your level).

It would have been a fun change up ( or maybe I just want one of his cover to replace the hulk freebie in that late sub. icon_e_wink.gif )

I'd rather have 500 ISO than get a cover that I'd need 1000 HP to roster!

full clear from round 1 is how much... how many clears we all think we will need just for cp Guessing 4 or 5

also do pts go up higher if you start late or same...

say if you start today would the stage 4 pts be the same if you start today or not till stage 4... meaning about when is the last time you could start and still make CP easy

True, but if you're not in this PVE for the Bucky cover, than you're in it only for the ISO, in which case a Winter Soldier cover would get you 1000 ISO, double the what the Hulk cover would (normally, excluding champ rewards here for this comparison).

I have 3031 points (in Nevada sub ) after one clear and two additional attempts to get the CP from the Miles essential. Got the other CP from the Hulk hard node on the 1st attempt. Guessing at full points, it's 2500ish points a pass right now?

    Hmm, I hadn't considered 1000 ISO > 500 ISO.

I like the way you think!

I'm just a humble ISO farmer (these days).

Did my 2nd point stack pass through (can only do CM essential) and at 3440 while i'm seeing people already close to 9k on the second pass.

Unless the strategy has changed since I've been gone, I'm guessing they completely grinded the point stacks down to be around that score.

I'm getting completely creamed in this event....I wish I hadn't pushed so hard for the Storm cover last event....I need Bucky!

It's still early and there''s always those who grind to zero right away and get an early lead. If you keep to optimal refreshes (every 8 hours your first three passes), and wait until the end of the sub to grind down, you'll make out better in the long run.

You might not be able to grind the big point hard nodes or essentials, depending on your roster, but even if you grind down those three trivial nodes to 1 point before the end of each sub, it will add up over the 7 days. You be surprised how many times the trivial nodes alone pushed me from top 100 to top 50. It could be the difference maker for you getting a Bucky cover.

For this 1st Nevada sub, if you have someone who can stun regularly, that last Hulk node can be easy to grind, since he's alone.

I have 94 2* Storm, I just had some luck with her, Howard, and 3* CapMarvel for her essential node. I think I need to remember that it's better to have powers than hp and use my 2*s.

I'm just hoping I can make top 50 in subs regularly (and hopefully top 50 overall) without having Miles Morales for the essential icon_razz.gif

I saw you in the leaderboard from time to time in the past few events. I think 1 additional clear for each node should be sufficient, even without 1 essential character.

I understand the benefit of getting top50 sub placements, but don't worry too much about top50 overall placement, you'd only get 1 cover, the same as top100.

    Good luck.

Thanks! You're right, I meant top 100 overall... though I can definitely use the extra HP icon_e_wink.gif

I'm desperate for top 100 this go round, I barely managed it to get Howard the Duck a few events back. My work schedule doesn't really allow for a full 8/8/8 hour completion time, so far I've done two full runs and a few extras on the last node.

Any guesses for how many points I'll need to aim for overall?

Wow ok Iceman and IM40 are absolutely amazing, especially after I have 5 blue Iceman covers. Even at low levels those punches are amazing.

Agreed, I recently got 5 covers on Iceman and this is my first real event using him - his blue is absurd at that level. Easily the best character for handling 300lvl Hulk nodes.

I'm not sure there are many nodes he isn't a best character for. jean might work better on some high-end goon nodes or against cascaders that lead to crits. other than that, ice is my #1 character. and he and IM40 cover everything but black and can be a 2-man wrecking crew. only drawback is when the board is dry of yellow and you have to manually get the green/blue/purple. even then he's so good, but you just take a little more damage. yellow early = minimal damage taken and a fast match. looking forward to leaning on them all week. too bad its offseason for pvp though.

I've only got him at lvl 192, 5/5/1, so he's still a little squishy (I'm trying to max another 4 star before their 2 covers expire, so ISO relief there). He keeps dying because I'm forgetting to watch his health. But yeah, definitely a top character, he might even better when he's not boosted so he's not tanking all his colors so much, even with a boosted IM40 by his side.

I don't know. Ice and IM40 are my 2-man team for essentials in any PvE, whether or not they're boosted. During the first sub of this event I kept having these moments where I was like, "OK, hit green, then I can stun, punch, stun and it's almost over. . ." only to find that all I had to do was hit green.

4Pool is my current project for championing (should be done Monday), so it's fun being able to take advantage of him during this event. Those three are a pretty brutal team.

    sadly my iceman sucks

running iron man and kahn (feeds her green that does like 3800 to team is nice)
