Your Strategy

Grind them down to where your sanity will not let you go any further. My limit appears to be double digits, I cannot do a mission for 23 points after I had been getting 300+ for it. Grind one mission at a time, don't bounce between missions.
If you grind one mission off the stack the stack will be restored 8 hours after you finish. If you grind 4 missions off the stack it will also be fully restored 8 hours after you finish. But if you bounce around between missions and grind one now and one in ten miutes and 2 in twenty minutes time then it will be more like 9 hours between full refreshed instead of 8 because you kept moving out the time of the last refresh.0 -
The key strategy for Hulk hasn't been discussed here.
In the last two iterations of the Hulk the missions in the main bracket weren't repeatable, they were all one shots to unlock subs.
The last phase of Hulk though didn't have an subs, it had 6 non repeatable one shot missions that were freaking hard. Being one offs through most people were still able to complete them.
That meant that your position at the end of the last set of subs was generally speaking your position at the end, and it also meant that if you were trying for a progression reward you needed to be within 5-7k of it at the end of the last set of subs.
If the missions remain repeatable then rubberbanding and the ability to complete those last missions may play a bigger part in final placement than it did in the original, but I personally won't be relying on having 10k+ points available to me when the last 24 hours come around.0 -
Well in doing what's been said and.... It works
not only am i not grinding missions down to 1, but in taking my time on each node, and i must say its much more relaxing. Im a patient guy,but grinding level 230 missions down to 1 point is enough to test my sanity. I LIKE PANCAKES. Ill just save the last reset with 2.5 hours to go.is that good?0 -

It's impossible to have a general statement on how much time is enough without knowing the level of competition and what you're shooting for.
For example back in the Simulator Basic, trying to place top 10 in both brackets and 2.5 hours is nowhere close to enough time. If you're only going for one bracket, then 2.5 hours is enough. If you're not going for top 10, then you don't need as much time. Of course, if your bracket is extra tough, you'd need more time too.
Note that if your mission are worth the maximum modifier value (10X) you probably should do them ASAP because you're clearly too far behind compared to the sub bracket, and your missions will never be worth more anyway.0 -
Currently sitting in the top 20 in both brackets and 198 overall. I will be more than happy with a top 3000 place as long as i can bag a couple of Thor covers. Before this event the team i always used was 2* Wolvie, C.Storm and Daken.
Now i have levelled up both OBW and Thor and have a 100 level Punisher(1 cover away from max which i will get in the Hulk event) and HOLY POOP i have been missing out. My question though is should this be by team from now on or would replacing OBW with ARES be a good move as they would all have great health, and use OBW when i need to heal?0 -

Seems like a bad idea colorwise: With Punisher and Thor, you'd prefer someone who has purple/blue, and OBW provides that as well as espionage synergy with strike tiles. Ares wouldn't add any new colors or synergies to the table, so he doesn't seem like a good fit.0 -

Ares is a good replacement for Thor, but not OBW. You're probably stuck with her for a while. On that team, the best replacement would probably be either Spiderman or Classic Magneto, but either of those may take a while to get covers, and they are both being funbalanced. If you wanted to go for a high health tanky type when you move on from OBW, Black Panther may be what you want.0 -
For what it's worth, I finished 12th in the main bracket after the first day of subs, and I only joined in at the very end. One full clear of everything in the last 2 hours was enough. The rubberbanding is way too strong in this event.0

The rubberbanding has always been strong in the Hulk main bracket because it's an unbracketed event. I wouldn't say it's too strong, it's just part of the design.
When you have bracketed main events (simulator, brotherhood) rubbernading isn't as big a factor - you play with people who joined when you did.
In this event, without strong rubberbanding, you would basically be shut out of the awards if you missed the first day or two entirely.0 -
Remember that you are not playing against thousands of forum members. Most people in the bracket do not know about refresh times or optimal completion time. Just stick with the event even after Juggernaut shows up and you will make top 1000 easy.0

I dont really have a strategy; but I usually can get top 15. I log in and start playing as soon as I can. Usually I can only play about 2 hours at a time and play about every 6 hours. I run through all the matches at least once, and then I just play the one with most points. I'll play the goons or whatever only if I need to focus on healing and then go back to the DA matches. I don't play to take anything down to zero or anything.0
