hood is a must. although he doesn't really get good until you get that 4th and 5th blue. but once you do, you'll lean on him a lot. I still use mine - just used him in the boss fight against cap, even though I have other 4*s I could have used. shulk is good, solid (average?). not great. not bad. 2* torch is completely optional to me.

I already sold 3* Spidey, I guess sell 2* Steve and Doc Otto for SheHulk and Hood?

Is it worth keeping 2* Ares if I've been using Thor and MNMags would work better with Hawkeye?

ares is a better damage dealer than thor - faster. thor is slower but solid too, and his abilities don't have the negative side affects like ares' abilities do. I used both - tons. thor works great with mnmags and storm for things like big enchilada and other survival nodes. ares/obw were/are the best pvp pair for 2* players. I'd keep both ares and thor.

For 2* Steve I might see how he gets boosted for the Civil War event and sell him later, as long as I have *A* Steve my fan side will be sated, I think, and I did get the 3*.

Most people are saying to keep every 3* and I don't see how that's a) feasible or b) useful when they cost so much to level.

It feels like as a non-pvp casual player I should invest in some that are good combos and a few extra that are favorites for me.

ISO is going to seem like a challenge but once your team gets a little stronger then completing DDQ (Daily deadpool) will net you 3000 with ease every day. Just using this ISO on one 3* would take them to 166 in a little over a month if you had the covers. 3* Captain is a lot better than 2* because he returns AP when the countdown's end and his Blue countdown will leave a strong shield behind as well.

I would suggest reading up on how to make the most of lightning rounds on PVP each week. with very little effort you can earn around 1000 ISO an hour.

So Lightning Round has come about and I can't seem to find a thread on it. Can anyone direct me to it or offer some suggestions?

Really wish I had posted what lineup I used, because I have not been able to beat it since.

I remember using 2*thor/2msmarvel/obw before i got 3thor/cmarvel which is now what i use in TBE w/obw but i run her at 5/5/3(steals every color*4). It should play out the same but slower due to lower damage output.
I play it differently depending on the type of enemy. If its all goons i go blue/purp to extend the cd tile and build up ap. I never use attacks unless it because i dont have enough blue or i have a lot of red or yellow which helps generate yellow/green respectively. I also try to steal enough ap or kill the last 1 w/ an attack unless you can match-5 w/ a definite kill, that way the next wave can't do much damage. I'll do this until i have full ap in r/y/g. Last wave i hit them w/CotS to the highest hp target first, then TS(which can sometime be enough for another cots), then mm and finally the black from MsM/CM.
If there are tile movers/ symbiotes/ultrons i try to collect what i can for an attack while still collecting blue purp whenever possible. I usually prioritize the tm/sym/ult first and only retarget if a goon's cd (high damage) is about to go off. I try to build up as much ap as possible and will not unnecessarily use an attack unless to purge from 30 and know i can rebuild prior to the last wave. Hth.

    lots of good information here:

    https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=26330

my go-to team was "thormneto", or thor/mnmags/storm. don't use thor green until the last wave. try and build up ap - if you can build up 25 green, storm will dump a ton of ap in your lap. mags red does the same. that team was really easy when it was goon wave/character wave/goon/character. now its all jumbled and today was particularly hard with ultron green sentry building up ap in rd 1, and symbiotes in rd 3. good luck.

edit: symbiotes were in under the sea, not big enchilada. memory fails me sometimes. BE was still hard today with the ultron sentry.

Today I used (113)2thor, (137)msm, and (141)obw. This is my 2nd round of champing so they are underpowered. It definitely took longer-20 min. Cots was at 2500/1250 damage compared to my 3thor's 4500/2250.
First round was IF and 2 ultrons, i targeted the ultrons first because their powers start firing on the get go. I took out IF ET atk tile when ultron put out their weaker 1 bcuz he can't make 1 when 1 already exist(try not to match it). I took out the ults asap. Obw got off atleast 1 Agd (pay attention to your hp) and AR each so IF went down w/o getting anything off.
Rd 2 was SW, konran and red ninja(i think). I tried matching SW's cd except when it was in the corner with no purp around it. A tip on konran is to let his blk tile go off if he has an ally(he is a selfish backstabber). But his MH is devastating(I didn't have enough blue so i had to sacrifice MsM to 2(3400+ each)MH. I took SW out and konran killed his buddy( much appreciated). Now i start stockpiling ap while watching his cd tiles.
Rd 3 konran, muscle and don. Easy 1, I built ap til max on r/y/g. I was at full health on both thor and obw. So i used agd to extend the cd except for the don's ylw tile( he is not stealing from you plus it gives you something to AR from them) and to an extent the muscle's ylw(stk tile don't do damage w/o an atk). Finished off konran after filling up ap and AR'ing him.
Final wave is 1*BW, IM35 and mohawk. Pretty easy again. Cots to highest hp, then TS (watch for chance for any match5 greens) which i got after the 2nd TS. Whoever was left standing got MM to the face. Done
I now reap the rewards of a CM cover applied to champ lvl 175(2 cp). So it is still viable. Happy gaming!

    Updated roster again.

Managed to beat The Big Enchilada with Thor, OBW and CStorm.

Any feedback greatly appreciated, the events are still scaling way difficult for me.

Note to self - do not underestimate Howard the Duck.

Killed off entire final team in The Big Enchilada utilizing his invisibility skill.
