That article had surprisingly little information beyond a start date of April 28th.

Any hints on what is coming to our little match-3 game?

In typical MPQ fashion, I'm sure they will be releasing info one tidbit at a time. If we don't get a Winter Soldier out of this I'm gonna feel a little cheated.
  • I'd imagine this won't hit until the 5th with the hulk event currently on deck for pve. But who's knows. I'd be willing to bet we get Winter Soldier, War Machine and maybe a 5 cap or Iron man?

Hope the MPQ content is spoiler-free. I've been avoiding trailer and news about Civil War from the start. I figure, I'm going anyhow, so why not enjoy everything as a surprise?

No, Forbes, I will not turn off my adblocker for you. Boo.

If the special event is this weekend, I'm quite impressed how they managed to have their special event on one of the 3-4 weekends a year that I'm utterly unable to play once again, since the same thing happened with Galactus.

I hope we get some of the new characters by progression, either individual or team, like in the Galactus event.

It must have been hard to avoid spoilers for ten years.

What are the chances of a new character for the event? What I remember of the trailers
    - Iron Man (we have 3 versions)
    - Cap (we have two versions)
    - Falcon/Falcap (two versions)
    - War Machine (possible?)
    - Widow (3 versions)
    - Hawkeye (2 versions)
    - Panther (One version, but no significant alt)
    - Vision (one version, the one that's there)
    - Switch (one version)
    - Spiderman (4 versions)
    - Ant Man (one version)
    - Winter Solider (possible)
    - Sharon Carter (why?)

So - maybe a split event where you and/or your alliance pick a side, with the reward being either Rhodey or Bucky?

I'm pumped to see what mechanic they pull out for this. I love the Galactus and Ultron boss events, but they are structurally similar. They've got to have something interesting planned for the Civil War release.

This obviously calls for a new spiderman and wolverine!

    But seriously...

Bucky, Crossbones, Iron Spider (while I joke, it would be appropriate), War Machine.

    All would be thematically appropriate.

We already know we're getting Bucky first from the R99 teaser, but I could see War Machine, Crossbones, Baron Zemo, and an alternate version of someone. Rumor has it there might be a surprise character in the movie as well, but I'm trying not to spoil that for myself by looking into it.

4* versions of Widow and Hawkeye would be nice since they're kind of core members of the team. Hawkeye especially, poor guy is stuck hanging out in 1* and 2* land.

Sounds like a great time for a community video. Too bad we have not had one for months.

Not to be mean, but I feel that's where he belongs. But then, if Howard the Duck can crack out of that shell...

    Winter solider for sure.
    War machine quite possible.
Probably at least one more iron man (Mark 46?)
Probably another Cap (enemy of the state?)
    Crossbones unlikely

For the new players that they are hoping to draw in 1* Cap and 2* Iron Man would round off those tiers nicely. It has been too long since those tiers were shown any attention.

Serious question for the names in red. What are your contingency plans for server overload?

Howard's only a 4* because they're deliberately not releasing lower-tiered characters. This time last year he might have been a 3*.

Will tokens for new releases during the event have better draw odds than 0.2%? I only ask as because this is going to be a marquee event for Marvel you would think they would want player engagement and feedback to be quite high, not many who toy with the idea of dropping a few quid will do so for such measly odds.

I believe standard operating practice in such situations is "start the event and go home for the weekend". icon_e_wink.gif

You forgot give out a couple event tokens for compensation so some people win big and some people get 500 ISO since even compensation should be RNG
