Hardest node ever?

So this current subnode in the Howard event has the Kingpin/Hood/Muscle laying the smackdown on us in Exit, Stage Right. Took me three times to finally beat it the first time. In your opinion which PvE single node has been the hardest to beat, let alone grind?

I wish PvP rules applied so I could use my own Hood in that node. Seems to go 50/50 so far (win/lose), which I'm not used to losing that often on a node. >.<

Been using 4* Thor, 3* Iron Man, 3* Scarlet Witch, sometimes works!

I've been amusing myself using my low level 5*s (270oml/255pnx+ss) to annoy them into submission by virtue of pure match dmg and true healing, plus spamming strikes and toasting them with resurrected phoenix whenever I get enough green ap. The node is currently level 286 for me.

I have no decent 4*s and this node eats my champed 3*s unless i use all the boosts i can get my hands on
They are at 228 for me imagine if they went up 12 lvls every clear like in the new pve

Boosted Thor and Iron Man 40 makes almost any node trivial, fortunately.

I had to use OML (1/2/0), Scarlet Witch and Hulkbuster with double rainbow boosts and +60% match damage and when I finally won, all I had was HB at about 1/3 health. Still no CP from that one.

My node is 273 level. Clear it with 3* IronMan, mmags, CStorm.

It really all depends on 2 yellow matches - if they are matched it easy clear - if not - restart=)
After IM yellow goes of - stun hood - use cmags pink/red or cstorm green to generate more blue - stun kingpin repeat with yellow=)

There is also possibility to win with pink/blue board but that hood passive...

IM40 is really a king of any hard pve right now.

I'm in the same boat, but I've success with 3* Deadpool, SW, and Ares. It isn't pretty and I'm pretty sure I won't be grinding it though.

Oooh so many rough ones to choose from...

    Cmags/hood

    Carnage/goon/goon

    Carnage/venom/goon

    X men node from simulator

All insanely tough. That xmen node from simulator is the only one that I've had to whale

Fortunately The Hood can't steal yellow AP in this event, I used IM40, Scarlett Witch and Black Widow Grey Suit. Then I started a run of board barren of yellow so just went with Deadpool and started using the few hundred thousand whale points I had saved.

Iron Fist/3* Cyclops/S Witch does that node pretty comfortably for me. Witch chucking purples out there to help Fist change to black firing off Cyclops Full Blast pretty regularly evens the fight.

Huh? I guess you were dry on yellow, because hood definetly steal yellow for me when they were all over the board but none of them were matchable.

I think most nodes with two feeders and one overscaled baddie with a lot of hp and cheap, spammable powers (Headbutt, Onslaught, Symbiote Scythes, even Venom's purple stun) are usually a lot worse. Although that final wave node in Hell in Hearts of Darkness is a good contender as well.

But I also have to admit that with decently covered 5*, scaling has to go through the roof before any node starts to give you any trouble. I've been using Phoenix/OML/Prof X for the past two events, and the high match damage combined with lots of buffed strike tiles is ridiculously effective.

hardest i've ever had was a 395 Torch being fed by two pyros, it was hell cause there was literally no way to stop him from getting his green off multiple times.

When you think Devs have learned from past mistakes they surprise you once again. After Venom Bomb Carnage+symbiotes backlash I thought they would have learned that some nodes with feeders are very unfair isn't it? ISN'T IT?!?!?!

But then, you start this NEW event, second sub, and after some other nodes with char and feeder, you get to the new infamous Hood+Kingpin+muscle node (in my case at 320 level). Is this a joke?!?!?! AGAIN, muscle plus hood AND kingping...

    THIS IS NOT FUN

    THIS IS NOT FAIR

I think there are just two teams that work here IM40+4hor+whatever or Jean+switch+whatever, If you don't have a very good accelerator you are screwed. So great, thanxs devs.

PS: I am imagining playing this node in the new PvE format, with 390 level enemies 11 times and well, I am loosing the will to play icon_razz.gif

I ran Kamala / IM40 / CMags and got wiped about three times. Retried with Blade / Falcon / Daken and strike tile spam won the day.

Just won the CP from that node, with 3*Daken, IF and Switch, after striking out twice before with Thor, IM40 and Blade. I don't think I'll be grinding this one down to 1..

Hood is annoying as an enemy in PVE but whenever it coincides with a buffed Daken, it becomes trivial. Just match green and even if your AP is stolen to 0, you'll snuff his tiny amount of HP with strike tile damage. Moreover, grabbing 5 blue for a finishing 3k damage Chemical Reaction is not that hard, even with the stealing.
