There's really no mystery to this. We all know why the change was made, we know what we'd have preferred to see (friendly countdown destruction blows up fortified tiles). I guarantee they chose their design because converting to basic tiles required far less development and testing time.

From what I understand, that's exactly what they used to have, and removed because it was too powerful. That means they spent twice as long developing it.

This really only impacts tiles that have an effect when destroyed while counting down. XFDP, XFW (yellow), and some ninjas? Am I missing anyone else?

I doubt this is true, it was probably easier for them this way. The code for tile destruction probably starts with any tile, then limiters are implemented towards specific tiles depending on ability. For instance Juggernaut targets any tile, and Kingpin targets any [countdown] tile. The same would go for anyone that targets specific colors etc.

I have a special database under my desk at work that I put feedback in. It's metal and cylindrical. And it magically is empty every morning. I wonder if they have the same system

Both characters are still good, and they're still OK together.

But they used to be great together. Never even thought that this nerfs KP/XFW too you can't pop that health tile now for dmg

file this under the long line of old effects that have to be changed or altered because of a newly introduced character.

And once the new character mechanics have been announced, demiurge very rarely (never) changes the new character. That reduces the incentive to chase the new shiny toy. They just nerf the old characters (that no longer generate much revenue?).

    /rant-y conspiracy theory. . .

Still waiting on my response for what their plans are for this. My guess is nothing but at least I have an answer

Do you need some ice for your head, or is at least a padded wall?

Received confirmation from the developers that the recent changes are working as intended. No updates or changes to the functionality in question are planned at this time.

Additionally, please note, that repeatedly opening new tickets with Support, for the same issue you have already received an answer for, helps no one. It only serves to slow down Support's response to other player's tickets.

    Thank you.
