I was trying patch with her and it was fantastic, berserker becomes zero risk. Xdp as third. 7 purple and 7 blue is insane, plus possible cascades when they go off. Did I mention Jg will be a joke once her passive is maxed?

Need to consider spending 120CP to champ Quake, currently lvl 146 at 6/5/2.
I recently got another green cover from a Heroic token icon_exclaim.gif

Status -> I have no 4* champs yet, with all but the latest 3*'s champed. I have over 800K iso, and 150+CP at the moment so I'm ready to spend if necessary. Mostly a PvE player gaining above full progression and T50 placement. Recently been able to score 575 - 900+ in PvP due to HP being more plentiful and shields more afforded.

The following are listed in priority order above Quake:

    12 Covers:
    XFWolverine lvl 200 3/4/5

    11 Covers:
    XFDeadpool lvl 200, 4/3/4
    4*Cyclops lvl 200, 5/3/3
    Hulkbuster lvl 146, 4/2/5
    Star-Lord lvl 146, 5/1/5
Quake lvl 146, 6/5/2 (250K iso to reach lvl 250, how much more to champ if 13th cover acquired?)

Hate to sell a 'good' character's cover, but it's a bit pricey to spend 120CP on a single 4* cover - which I see as the equivalent of six 4* draws or better. On the other hand, within my 4*'s I have 11 spots that hold 5 covers, meaning new draws have a growing chance of being near-term unusable.

Now, I have 13 days to stumble upon a Quake blue cover so I'll try to wait as long as possible before expiration.

I'd recommend using the CP on 7 classic legendary tokens instead of 1 quake cover. The covers will come, it just takes time. Unfortunately that is the way our game works. Go where the covers take you.

I had nearly the same situation two weeks ago. My X-Force Deadpool stood at 5/5/2 with 3(!) red and 1 black cover in my queue. Before they could expire I bought the missing purple cover with CP and championed him. And I honestly haven´t regret it yet!

If the character is worth to spend CP for him/her (and Quake definitely is) I would just do it. A good 4* champion will make the transition from 3* to 4*-land a lot of easier!

PS: It costs ca. 72k ISO to bring a character from level 250 to 270 (plus the 12.5k for making her a champion).

I've recently done that twice, for Deadpool and Punisher. My hand was shaking the first time I spent 120CP for a single cover. I agree that you should wait until the last moment to do it but it sounds like you have the resources already to pull it off and Quake is certainly worth it. I wish she was one of my Champions but I don't even have all three powers yet.

Ive been using her 5/5/3 in the latest Thor PVP with boosted Peggy and Thor and it's been great so far. Everyone is bringing in AOEs and Daisy just points and laughs. Definitely a lot of health packs spared.

Glad you revisited this topic!  I just recently have been playing Quake more often vs. teams with C4rol on them. Sure, I don't want Carol's passive to earn them AP when I match my strongest color, but thanks to Quake, the AOE is negated if both teams strongest colors match.
Then, Daisy's blue is fantastic for taking out the other teams strike tiles, but more importantly, the hopeful shot at taking out Carol's strong black CD.

Quick note, to my surprise Quake's passive seems to reduce the damage taken from enemy Ironheart's red power, Remote Control Gauntlets, when it would hit 2 teammates.  Coordinated Tactics states it reduces attacks that damage the entire team (full AOE), so I wanted to point this out to others who may not have expected it to be reduced as well.

Quake is supposed to be my next champ as I have 13 + 2 covers.
I'm just not feeling it. Will she make me happy at some point?
Resonance Frequency is amazing. But it depends how many champed 4*s you already have. After a certain point, pretty much everyone you champ goes into the "well, when they're boosted, I guess" pile.

Quake's Resonance Frequency does deal damage, but only based on her numbers, not the team's. So to deal maximum damage, you need to target green (followed by yellow then blue). I typically go for yellow since it does not generate AP, I want to leave as much green on the board for matches. Plus goons seem to create more yellow count downs than other colors, so it's a nice way to eliminate those.

True, but you certainly use RF for the utility since the damage is negligible compared to most powers. I immediately thought that it was strange that even 1 cover in blue for Lockjaw did more damage for summoning Quake, than Quake deals herself for RF.  Of course I'll take it on LJ, and I'm certainly a Daisy fan overall.
Man she's fun with the X-force doods, DP & XFW.

Yeah, LJ's version of RF is quite a bit different from Quake's version (damage up front, no choice of tile color) compared to his versions of the other 3 pre-existing powers.  On the other hand, Lockjaw has no other powers for dealing on-demand damage (aside from most of the other Royal Escort 'options'), so probably they put extra damage in there for that reason. Otherwise the comparison to his Quasi-Sonic Scream would be pretty bad.

So I finally got Quake champed and I’m trying to find some teams to put her on.  I’m mostly seeing the XFW/XFDP, which sounds good.  But does she pair especially well with anyone else these days?

I champed Quake months ago and only really use her when she's boosted, or if I'm going against someone with a nasty AOE.

Quake seems to be more of a decision about your opponents than who to bring along as teammates. Versus anyone with an AoE she is fantastic (even when unboosted). Against Jean Grey, who only has AoE for the most part your team is well protected against that damage.
Quake also plays great against characters who play special tiles on specific colors since her blue targets them: IM40 CD's, Nova strikes, even G4mora's specials on purple, etc.
She plays well vs Bl4de, his green will do almost nothing, and one shot of blue to remove red from the board and he is powerless.

As mentioned, XFDP and XFW is a great pairing.  She also plays well with Medusa if you go against a team that makes special tiles. Each match will earn you blue or green (or purple obv). You can purposefully destroy Medusa's CD by playing Quake's blue on that color, usually. A good 3rd here is C4rol, or even Agent Venom (it's true!).

I'm close to championing Mockinbird, and I plan to prioritise Quake next.
I'm thinking playing her as a third to Carol & Mockinbird, thus achieving rainbow coverage and a balanced good team (at least on paper). Has someone tried this team yet ? Does it perform as good as it sounds ?

I think @Rick OShay nailed it on the head when he said you play Quake based on who your opponents are, not so much who her teammates are. You see anyone on the opposing team with AoE, Quake's your woman.

For that team you mentioned, I'd prefer Iceman over Quake for a Blue-Green outlet, plus Iceman has a countdown tile for Carol to feed on. If you don't have Iceman champed, then Quake is a decent alternative for a Blue-Green user. Even then though, I'd rather go with Invisible Woman, especially as she adds an active Yellow which makes the team invisible.

If you want to put Quake on a rainbow team, try her with St4rlord and Carol. I used to use that trio in Big Enchilada; it was quite fun using Earthquake for 9AP, and being able to destroy tiles for 5AP

I have multiple choices for green blue outlet: Iceman, Riri, Bum Fist, Invis Woman. I was hoping for more utility, that's why I thought of Quake. Plus that she can nullify Carol's AoE in mirror matches. But I agree that she might be better against certain opponents and less ideal overall. Guess I can use whoever is boosted for the week/event & compensate. So far though, my 2/2/5 Quake doesn't seem so great in the team... I guess the issue is that somebody has to soak damage, and she isn't good for that.

I thought of Iceman or Invis Woman as well, and Iceman does feel like a good partner, though he doesn't really managed to impress me so far since I champed him 1 month ago. He seems rather slow for some reason. I rather play with Rogue as 3rd, for tanking purposes and lose the active blue. Got to test more.

My best guess for using Quake with Mockingbird would be to destroy enough tiles to make extra match-4 opportunities for the AI to trigger... Opportunity. I see what I did there. Free Earthquakes seems good too; and potentially better than Whiteout (some of the time) because a randomly-fired Whiteout might not find many Blue tiles on the board to get bonus damage from. Secret Mission would make Green AP either way in that case (if not Black or Red, I guess).

The problem, I suppose, would be if a random Resonance Frequency took out a Photonic Barrage or Bombshell tile. I don't know if that would happen enough to be actively bad.

Didn't thought of this. That would be a bummer indeed, but only if it would happen in a critical time that would decide the match. I had Photonic Barrage completely removed by the AI with some lucky cascades, so I guess I'm use to it somehow :)

I do believe that when Quake's RF hits a fortified CD, it would only remove the fortification, but does not destroy the CD.
