No interesting rewards this time. I`ll take a PvE-break and spend time on PvP!0

Fourstars in my vault: , ,
I could absolutely use Another Ghost Rider cover, but I don't see myself spending HP on a short event to Clean this out.0 -
Hood, Bullseye and a goon dropping strike tiles? Who thought that was a good idea.0

I wiped on that one with Kingpin, Hulkbuster (both boosted!), and Scarlet Witch, first time I have in a while, at least on a first pass. Came back with boosted Hulk in front, and Red Hulk and a healed S Witch. With both of them feeding Red Hulk, the super Hammer & Anvil's cleared it pretty quick that 2nd time. Still, it's going be a pain the rear grinding for that CP.0 -

A four-day event? Without a new character release? And high level Hood/Juggernaut with feeder goons and spamming strike tiles? Right. That's a good recipe for skipping final nodes and casually playing the easy ones.0 -

UPDATE: that combo no longer works, just wiped twice with them, the ai now at level 270. Had to go to Charlie's Angels. May forget about the CP on this one.0 -
It's just getting kind of old. I grinded so hard in The Hulk because I really wanted another Antman cover. I put up with the thing I have grown so tired of... You know, when you don't get a turn? You just watch the IA do this: Symbiote Snare, Unstoppable Crash, Symbiote Snare, Unstoppable Crash, here have a Headbutt followed by a Symbiote Snare. I was feeling like maybe, since it just isn't fun anymore, maybe I should stop doing this to myself. But I stuck with it, grinded it out to the bitter end... Only to finish 13th and get no Antman covers, lol.
On to the next event, Rocket and Groot. I am facing a Juggs with 20k health. I can make a team to take him out. His teammates though, goons who lay down 2x 810 strength strike tiles... That's devastating. Of course, I can put together a team to handle the countdown tiles... But what team can fend off a 20k health point Juggs and the countdown tiles? None that I can think of. It's tiresome.
Understand, I don't play the game expecting to get 1st place in any event ever. I don't expect to win every match. I play the game for fun. And this, my friends, is not in any way fun. Thanks for letting me vent, and if you read all the way down to the end... Thank you for that too.0 -
So I can get past the goons with my 2/1/0 Antman if all of the stars line up just right. If I steal a few of the strike tiles I can blast everything down because the tiles are so ridiculously overpowered. Of course...Hood doesn't want me to have any AP and Bullseye hates me too. I think they are putting together these lineups assuming people have 13 covers on every character.0

I eventually gave up on that last CP from Hood/Muscle/Bullseye. Even Charlie's Angels couldn't cut it a 2nd time and I wiped 3 times in row with various 4* teams. Just went to bed and settled for top 100 on that sub.
Thankfully, the 2nd 48 hr sub has mostly goons (entirely in those last three hard nodes). Should be manageable with a variety of teams, no matter your star level. Thank god they make this one the 2 day sub and not the one with Juggs & Hoods nodes.0 -
Good time to take a PVE break and work on PVP.0

The first sub of Rocket and Groot has some of the most brutal PvE nodes outside Gauntlet/Simulator. But the second sub is 48 hours and (unless they changed it) the three "hard" nodes are all goon only. So basically one of the most difficult sub events followed by probably the single easiest. Hang in there!0
-
Wow, you weren't kidding about the change in difficulty. I went through all of Sub 2 without using a health pack.0
-
That first sub is just so horribly designed that it seems like it puts everyone off actually playing, I was roughly t20 and had only done 3 clears on the toughest 2 nodes.0
-
Did anyone else have their main sub reset? After I unlocked and cleared the Luck Be A Lady sub for the 1st time, I looked back in the main sub to check my overall progress, and the "A Walk in the Park" node (Juggs solo) had reset and was the only one in there. The "Roll the Dice" node was gone. I replayed "A Walk in the Park" then the "Roll the Dice" node re-appeared with 6 1/2 hours until refresh, where it should have normally have been. I didn't get any extra event points but did get the 200 ISO reward again (I'll take it wherever I can get it these days.)
I had changed devices since the first time I played today, from my iPad to my phone, but the rest of the progress carried over ok.0 -

I had that same thing happen to me twice last week when I was playing on iPad and phone. I did like you and went back to replay the nodes and saw it about 6 1/2 hours until refresh.0 -
Interesting. Theoretically, if you knew what was causes this and could duplicate it, you could reset main sub nodes while keeping the rewards going back and forth between devices. On the hulk pve, where you get a hulk cover in the main node on the 4th day, you could theoretically get tons of that cover, championing him out the Wazhoo.
Which would eventually get you .... more Cho covers.
Never mind, please don't sandbox me, devs.0 -

juggs and hoods coming to fox Fridays this fall
waiting for people to complain about how much their scaling goes up with goon only nodes0 -
You're supposed to lose- er, use Ant-Man. Anyone who steals or destroys Strike tiles will do ok too. Steal is preferable to destroy, though - you need to outpace the Muscle's tile generation, kill the opposing team quick AND do it before they get a lucky cascade that wipes you out or before the Muscle gets too many Tommy Guns off.
Actually, our essential team of 2* Mags, Hulk and Ant-Man seems to be ideal here, as Mags' purple can deal with the Tommy Gun countdowns and fuel Ant-Man's blue at the same time, while anything aimed at Hulk just gets a mini-Hulkbomb thrown back.0 -
Whenever I have to go against a high-level Hood, what I call my Stateless Team of Daken/Blade/Falcon gets the job done. Hood's AP steal doesn't matter quite as much when you're spamming strike tiles and strengthening them with yellow matches, so soon you'll be doing big match damage and he won't be a problem for long.
For this particular node, though, the Muscle did get some strike tiles of his own out, so I took a lot of damage in the end, but what matters is that I beat that node enough times (twice!) to get the CP.0
