So IM40 got a nice boost and restructuring. Who's next? Who would need it most? At least in 3 land.

Vision is next. Punisher, Psylocke and Spidey still need lots of attention.

In 3* land, the following are weak:
    Colossus -- Black too expensive.
Falcon -- Needs to generate weak special tiles when none exist. Needs some damage.
Psylocke -- Needs to diverge more from Punisher.
The Punisher -- Needs to diverge more from Psylocke.
Quicksilver -- Cost tweaks. EDIT -- I've been out of the loop, this has already been done.
Rocket and Groot -- 25% health is too iffy. Increase to 40% health.
Storm -- More health, cost tweaks.
The Hood -- Get rid of "end turn" on yellow.
Ragnarok -- Self-heal should work better or be replaced.
Spider-Man -- Web Bandages is still around? Really?
Squirrel Girl -- Remove "ends turn". Remove "up to 8 tiles" limit on Nuts from Above. Needs damage.
    Doctor Octopus -- Cost tweaks.
Captain America -- Sentinel of Liberty 19 yellowtile.png is one of the most overpriced powers in the game.

In general, temp healing should mostly go. "Ends Turn" should be eliminated for all characters -- every power that has it isn't all that great.

I'd disagree with some on that list but Twin Pistols and Supernova are pretty good, turn-ending powers. They do a lot of damage, and in Hood's case, board shake. Also, with Hood, his super-low HP makes the "Turn ends with me in front" part of that power a bit more interesting. If we were to tweak Twin Pistols and have decided it's too weak for some reason, I'd rather go with "More damage/board clear" then "Remove ends turn"

I wouldn't exactly call Groot "weak"; he's really good at sustained climbing or grinding.

I know it is Vision, but I really thought they would have fixed Spidey seeing as how they are on the Spiderverse bandwagon right now. It's just sad that such an iconic character is down at the bottom of the toy chest...

I disagree on this one. I like that some characters can't do everything inherently. Falcon is super fun with Cage and Iron Fist.

There are definitely some that deserve it more, but there's just something about every single one of Colossus's moves where the functionality just feels... off. Add in the fact that his damage is somewhat outdated, and an update could make him a top tier character, I'd love to see him worked on.

    Agreed 100%.
"Burst Heal" is a massive band-aid that was part of the True Heal Nerf.
They should have instantly replaced all non-True Heal healing skills with completely different moves, like they did with She Hulk Green.
It's no surprise that characters who still have them are among the worst 3 star characters.

Spider-Man Yellow, Ragnarok Blue, Beast Yellow, are the only 3 star "Burst Heal" powers left I think.
Those skills are so worthless to me it's like those characters have only 2 powers, especially Spiderman. I never use as a result unless forced to.
Kamala is fine because it's a passive. I wouldn't want to waste AP on a Team Heal that isn't permanent REAL healing.
OBW is fine because it also does something really useful in dealing with Countodwn Tiles.
For unknown reasons, the devs haven't designed any anti-countdown tile powers in over a year, and nerfed/changed the other few powers that used to (Doc Oc Blue, She Hulk Blue, Moonstone Black, Lady Thor Yellow only @ 5 covers, which no one will do unless they have her champ'ed). I think 4 Star Jean Grey Purple is the only one.

But then they go and release Spider-Gwen with a Yellow that makes Spider-Man's Yellow look powerful. It doesn't even heal herself!
It's among the worst 4 star powers in the game really. Shame, cause her other skills could be decent. She's mid tier at best as a result.

I thought 4 stars weren't supposed to have "burst heal" skills?
"Ends Turn" should be eliminated for all characters -- every power that has it isn't all that great.

I agree about "ends the turn" being a nod to old and/or bad design, but OML's Black is pretty great. Maybe he doesn't count cause he's a 5 star and arguably the best character in the game right now?

Falcon is super fun with Cage and Iron Fist.

Fist and Cage hardly need any help. And both are characters that put out a special tile for free. Of course Falcon will work well with them.

Giving Falcon a 1 point strike tile on a yellow match would let him work with many more characters, and would give him more synergy with his own powers.

Burst healing is not inherently a bad thing, the cost of it on it most characters is simply far too high, these kinds of powers should be based on some passive condition like KK or with other significant functionality like OBW and not the horrible web bandages.

If no others are present, have him add a weak attack, strike and protect tile to the board and at the same time reworking bird strike to be an offensive move so that the character is not completely support-only.

I also thought that the art change was heralding an update, but I was wrong again
  • Vision is kinda a mess.

I'm not sure if they're going to go Spiderman, because I get the feeling their numbers say he is getting plenty of use (But that's probably more because he's **** Spiderman)

But I do only think there's one or two stops on the 3* balancing train before they go give some 4*s some much needed bufflove.

Add in the fact that his damage is somewhat outdated, and an update could make him a top tier character, I'd love to see him worked on.

Colossus suffers from one major flaw: he tanks, but he doesn't heal. The same problem exists with Thing. Sure, in the Marvel Universe they might not have healing powers either, but we are talking about a game and what works in a game world. If your tank can't sustain for multiple matches, the tank isn't going to be of much value to you. Thing is especially bad for that, because he jumps in front to take damage and activate his ability, but after one or two battles he's going to come into the fight with his health so low that his ability won't fire.

    This is my Colossus fix:

Yellow - Stands in front, reduces incoming damage AND AoE damage, can make redtile.png AP
1 Cover - 8 yellowtile.png AP, 3 turn CD, always tanks, reduces damage and AoE damage by 25%
2 Cover - 8 yellowtile.png AP, 3 turn CD, always tanks, reduces damage and AoE damage by 30%
3 Cover - 8 yellowtile.png AP, 3 turn CD, always tanks, reduces damage and AoE damage by 35%
4 Cover - 8 yellowtile.png AP, 4 turn CD, always tanks, reduces damage and AoE damage by 40%, converts 1 tutile.png into 1 redtile.png AP
5 Cover - 8 yellowtile.png AP, 5 turn CD, always tanks, reduces damage and AoE damage by 50%, converts 2 tutile.png into 2 redtile.png AP

Red - Deals more base damage, no longer deals AoE damage, when his yellow tile is out, this punch heals him.
1 Cover - 11 redtile.png AP, Deals 1,750 damage, heals 300 damage if yellow tile present
2 Cover - 11 redtile.png AP, Deals 2,250 damage, heals 500 damage if yellow tile present
3 Cover - 11 redtile.png AP, Deals 2,400 damage, heals 750 damage if yellow tile present
    4 Cover - 10 redtile.png AP, Deals 2,750 damage, heals 1,000 damage if yellow tile present, Converts 1 tutile.png AP into 1 blacktile.png AP
    5 Cover - 9 redtile.png AP, Deals 3,750 damage, heals 1,300 damage if yellow tile present, Converts 2 tutile.png AP into 2 blacktile.png AP

Black - No longer deals damage to either character. AP cost reduced by 1 for each cover, but character to be thrown is randomized.
    1 Cover - 13 AP 3 turns [Airborne] status
    2 Cover - 12 AP 3 turns [Airborne] status
    3 Cover - 11 AP 3 turns [Airborne] status
    4 Cover - 10 AP 2 turns [Airborne] status, Converts 1 tutile.png AP into 1 yellowtile.png AP on landing
    5 Cover - 9 AP 1 turn [Airborne] status, Converts 2 tutile.png AP into 2 yellowtile.png AP on landing

Since you can't have every ability at 5 covers, you need to choose how you want to cycle through his powers. I also think at the highest levels Colossus' yellowflag.png should make him immune to Airborne and Stun.

OML Black is incredible, especially at higher levels. And if you pair him with IF or Carnage, then even though it ends the turn, you still end up taking away 2000-3000 hit points or more, due to attack tiles, so I'm fine with that.

Unless I'm mis-remembering, didn't Hood's Twin Pistols at one time not end the turn if you had it at 5 covers?

When it was AP gen instead of damage, the fifth cover would remove the turn end mechanic. Then they put it back when they changed him before 4hor's release.
