Think we will hear from D3 today?

Now that that Holidays are over, it's a new year and D3 should be back to work. Do you guys think we'll find out about the new feature today? I've been hording tokens until I find out what it is, and I'd like to think they'd tell us as soon as possible.

There is no indication (other than the iOS not being updated over New Year break as a rule) that this will be today. They have access to data, they know people are hoarding the tokens (at least the % who visits the forum and other websites) so there is no rush for them.

I would like to get it going as well but i doubt it will be this week, not to say today (D3 - feel free to prove me wrong).

Well they generally post something every week, since they were off last week, I thought that maybe we'd hear something today.

I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice to not have radio silence! Just let us know when we can stop selling off our amazing 4* covers that we'll never get again once this thing becomes an official thing.

I actually kind of doubt we'll hear anything. Most likely they'll announce it when the patch goes in.

Patches generally go out early in the week about two weeks after the forum post as the forum post coincides with the patch being submitted to Apple & Google and 2 weeks is the wait time for Apple to approve. So announcement or not, we should be getting r91 this week, likely tomorrow, and the new feature should be patched in shortly after.

Except there's the holiday break for Apple, too, which probably means that last week (or significant parts of it) does not count towards the 3rd party (Apple) review period for the patch. I'd say the best odds are probably for a release next week, although I wouldn't be totally shocked to see it out this week.

If it is as big of a change as it is being hyped to be, it will most likely be a coordinated media release, i have been checking marvel.com and a few other places, it will most likely show up there first, then the forums etc.. not long after.

I'd like to think we'll hear something from them, whether it is the January preview, the specs for the unannounced new character, something about the timeline for the new feature, at least something. I don't know that we will, but I'm trying to be optimistic.

They have at least taken the time to change the in game message about buying the Android special. It is a Monday though so that might be the extent of their work for today.

Obviously holidays/freezes bog it down, but looking through the previous R#, it's been running at 6 days for a while.

R90 - forum post 12/8, update 12/14 (6 day)
R89 - forum post 11/23, update 12/1 (8 day, presumably because lost two days to US Thanksgiving)
R88 - post 11/10, update 11/16 (6 day)
R87 - 10/27, 11/2 (6 day)

Last one hung up this long was R85, which was merged with R84.

Post was Dec 23rd. Apple freeze was until the 29th, so 12/30 and 12/31 (maybe). Then 1/2 and 1/3 and now 1/4 would be day 4 or 5.

So yeah same conclusion, hopefully tomorrow or Wednesday.

I really hope its sometime this week. I too am hoarding tokens, which is super hard for me to not open the dang things, if only for the Iso. It is the rewards pending that are killing me. I have 100+ sitting there expiring right now just from the last two weeks alone. Yes, most of them are 2*s and 1*s but there is a good chunk of 3*s in there too.

If anything I'm sure opening up all those tokens at once will net some good pulls...

On a completely unrelated note....anyone know where I can purchase a trainable monkey? If not, Ill just have to procreate, and we all know how bad an idea that is.

That's been going on since shortly before Christmas. It's a one-time-only deal, 2900 HP (and 1 CP) for $4.99 / £3.79. It's not related to the patch.
