    Hi Everyone -

Thank you for posting this here. The Daily Reward indeed resets each month and we understand the frustrations of the roll-out of this in the first month of the game launch.

With the team out for the holidays right now, we will follow-up with them on Monday and have an update here on the forums next week.

Thanks for your patience and we hope everyone is having a Happy New Year!
  • Was all set to ask what had happened to my reward progression and see I've not only been beaten to it but a red has replied already... Guess we will wait to see what happens with this then
  • So you've deliberately designed the system so that unless a player starts playing your game on the first day of the month, and not even every month, they're getting screwed out of the big reward?

Well, uh, good luck with that.

Hi LakeStone, thanks for the clarification. I have no issues with the choice of system, which is not unusual for mobile games. I'll get the big reward this month icon_e_biggrin.gif . I feel I should point out, however, that for me the rewards didn't actually reset to day one yesterday, nor today so far, so it seems that there is a bug there, giving inconsistent behaviour for some users.

That's why I mad this post in the suggestions forum but it didn't even get half of the replies this topic got. Maybe my idea is just bad, maybe people don't browse that forum, I'm just gonna leave it here: Make "Daily Rewards" cumulative and not month related viewtopic.php?f=36&t=37423
The system is flawed as it is right now, the last post in that topic made by elackey has some very good points.
  • No, you had a good idea. Many people don't browse the suggestions area, and most of these comments are complaints and people threatening D3.

They fail to recognize the fact that constructive criticism, like what you used, is how you get results. Name calling and threats will get your post next to no response. We just need to simply state that we feel the system needs revamped as there are a lot of cons to their current reward system. This is how you get devs attention. Even if 90 percent of the beginning players dropped the game, this game will go on and flourish and attract more players and more money. So, go ahead and threaten to quit. They won't miss you. What we can do, however, is give useful input as to how to attract more players and make players want to continue to play.
  • I also didn't get the reset. I assume you guys linked the game to your Facebook account right?

I appreciate the clarification but I'm confused about the choice of monthly reset. I don't play a lot of mobile games, but I see people saying this is common. The only other time I've seen a reward calendar in a game (Guild Wars 2), it was cumulative (and very satisfying).

I get that we're being given free stuff, so I can only complain so much. But assuming daily rewards are intended to reward loyalty, I have to say the monthly reset system is having the opposite effect right now.

The very very frustrating thing is that I was so sure it was a mistake, either from the new year or an unintentional monthly reset (because it made no sense to me why it would intentionally reset), that I didn't collect the Jan 1 reward. I figured if it was a bug, I shouldn't touch anything and let support straighten it out. So I can't get the big Jan reward. :/ My mistake, just wish all of this was clear from the beginning.
  • Mine is not linked to Facebook and it, indeed, did reset on the first of the month. And yes... It pissed me off, I was like fifteen days deep. The devs need to compensate with a fat pack as bare minimum. Totally absurd as far as game design goes.
  • Most of the time the monthly reward thingy is 28 days, so you have a few days of leeway.

It is very common in korean games.

Is that what happened? I thought somehow I'd managed to miss the logon for the day (although I was sure I hadn't).

Yeah, not happy about that, please consider making the cycle 28 days, devs.
  • I'm with you on switching to a 28 day cycle.
I've logged on every day since launch, and I wish I could collect my Fat Pack. That being said, I don't think the answer is "Devs give everyone a Fat Pack and their firstborn." A Fat Pack would be nice, but I just want to see the problem solved.

I'm sure the developers have a huge list of things to work on and need to prioritize. If the daily reward system is working as intended and updates based on the calendar month, then the failure was in communicating to the early adopters and managing expectations. They might grease some squeaky wheels with a one time compensation for folks who started playing in the first week, but I'd much rather they focus on delivering a robust PVP system and new PVE content than tinker with the daily rewards calendar.

But guys, a little communication goes a LONG way. Not the non-answery "we're looking into things" communication, but actual details about what to expect in the short and long term.

How do you explain the people who's rewards didn't reset? I'm not going to spend anything beyond the starter pack if the developers are honestly ok with how the rewards have rolled out.

I have been playing MtG PQ on an Android phone (HTC One) with a linked FB account.

My '31 day' rewards did not reset on 01 Jan 16. They finished 31 days after I first played (on 09 Dec 15), awarded the promised Fat Pack, and since then have been completely broken.

The Daily Reward displayed is '250 manacrystal.png ' but that cannot be collected - this has been the case for three days running. No daily rewards, just the unfulfilled promise of 750 manacrystal.png so far.

The 'See More' listing of future daily rewards is all black with a white box for the final reward saying 'New Text'.

This is obviously bugged to all heck. My customer service ticket (with two attached screenshots) has gone completely unresponded to. There have been no announcements from the developers since 08 Jan 16.

It all strikes me as quite unprofessional behavior by d3GO.

I'll confess that I've spent hundreds of dollars on Marvel PQ, but I'm really glad that I haven't spent a cent on MtG PQ - and unless we get backdated daily rewards for the days we've played and missed I'll be keeping my money to myself, thanks.

Yeah, you were never going to get 250 crystals. After collecting your fat pack and the other end of month rewards most people missed, your rewards should have reset to day 1, meaning you've missed a handful of runes.

I hope CS can reset your rewards calendar, but you've already gotten far more than most. I'm betting when they give out apology fat packs later this month, they'll just give one to everyone, so you'll get to double up on that reward.
