Or so my inactive vault would appear to indicate. Rejoice!

Or find some absurd reason to complain, if you're one of those.

Can I be one of those complainers?

It should have switched over this week. Very few people have a Ghost Rider worth mentioning. 2 or 3 cover Ghost Riders aren't beating Galactus. Heck, he beat me with match damage before he could even get enough AP to kill me outright.

But I am happy that it's switching over. I can start getting legendary tokens again.

I could've won if they didn't change the 2k sim cover!

Finally. I can only imagine how many 4 stars will be added by the time it resets again haha. Think opponents will be the same?

What's funny is that we'll all probably get GR covers from that XFW LT.
  • That's exciting! Will be nice to get some LTs there again.

I'm happy as well. My cover game on older 4*s is quite decent now.

That's a good point actually. It would be interesting if the opponents change on the second go around.

My XFW went from 4/2/2 to 5/2/2 since the last round.. doubt the 1 Green will make a difference if we are facing Cyclops again. I hope they switch the characters this time.

I'm hoping it is. I doubled my xfw covers from 4 to 8 since last go round. Hopefully enough to win it. Cyclops would be tough, so I hope they change it up. Waiting to level him until it's confirmed though.

I brought this up in another thread a while back. I hope they change up the opponents with each rotation, no reason not to really.

More work for them for no reward. Of course they are going to keep the same opponents.

Honestly, most of the opponents were decent. IW vs QS was really cool, most of the rest of them ranged from not too bad to tough but doable.

The exceptions to my mind were Falcap and Star Lord - Gamora is just ungodly when she's by herself and Captain Marvel has Falcap's number. Mr. F. vs Doctor Doom is also pretty damn hard, but it's soooo right by the theme. Prof X vs. Carnage might actually be too easy, but I'm hard pressed to find an opponent who would be not ridiculously difficult (or just plain ridiculous. I sit here invisible while you flail out there and I nickel and dime you to death.) So that's a wash, I think.

ProfX v. JG would be a nightmare. His invisibility would be useless against her AoE, and she has a direct counter to his blue in her blue. I've got a 5/3/5 ProfX soft-capped at 220 for winfinite and would dread trying to solo a 270, 5/5/5 JG.

What? Why this is the Internet, sir - we don't have those here.

Yeah, I get the feeling they are trying to imagine a world where everybody is perfectly balanced with each other. Like, assuming FalCap's abilities added up to good stuff and not ****, and that Marvel's Black didn't kill him instantly, you can imagine "oh hey she gave you a strike tile better buff that up to something good" being an interesting facet of that fight or whatever.

I'm guessing Star Lord vs Gamora was also a "well they're both Guardians so it fits kinda?" 'cause Star Lord doesn't have a lot of interesting match ups.

But overall I like having 1vs1 fights. Easier to focus on denials, and helps make it a good change of pace from the rest of MPQ.

I'm just bummed that my 1/1/2 Xforce Wolvie is still 1/1/2. This fight ain't getting any more doable for me.

I have number of 4* characters I have developed since the first go around. Maybe I'll actually beat more than 1 this time. My 5/3/2 XWolvie is up to the task this time around.

Now that we've rotated back, I wonder how many of these I'll be able to do now after one rotation that I wasn't able to before (assuming all opponents stay the same):
    Nick Fury vs Magneto (Classic):
Will have a pretty good chance with my 3/3/2, I didn't get very close last time, but I only had 5 covers then. May need to invest some ISO here though, mine is currently still only level 120.

    Hulkbuster vs Hulk (Indestructible):
I whaled IMHB for PvP, so my 5/5/2 should have no problems. Way better than my old 0/0/1 I had last time!

    Star-lord vs Gamora:
Can't say I'm that confident. I thought my 5/2/2 Level 140 SL would beat her last time, and since then I've only collected 3 SL red covers to bring him up to 5/2/5. I have a better chance I guess.

    Professor X vs Carnage:
No PX covers last time, my 4/1/2 should have it easy. Key purple cover!

    Kingpin vs Luke Cage:
I only have a 3/4/0 KP. Would prefer to have a yellow cover, but it seems doable. May very well pick up a yellow cover by the time his DDQ rolls around.

    Carnage vs Doctor Octopus:
Still 2/0/2. Not much improvement since the last time. Not currently optimistic here.

Sam Wilson vs Captain Marvel (Modern):
No chance. Only 1/3/2, need about 3 more red covers!

    Jean Grey vs Moonstone:
Should be easier this time, with a 2/4/5 JG. I expect to get more JG covers by this time too.

    Mr. Fantastic vs Doctor Doom:
Didn't have much luck last time, and don't expect to this time with a measly 3/2/2.

More recent ones - not much improvement since their DDQ, but am hopeful that I will by the time they roll around.
    Cyclops vs Iron Man (Hulkbuster)
    X-23 vs Elektra
    Ghost Rider vs Galactus

My Nick Fury *might* be cromulent this time. If the opponents stay the same, my IW and PX should get me a token again. Everybody else is still lolno

I don't even play these because of my 4 star coverage, but icon_mrfantastic.png v icon_doctordoom.png stood out even without having tried it.
