20 ISO Nonsense

A lot has been said about match making and mob levels, and I have tried to adjust to how the system is supposed to work. I play the match I'm given, win or lose, with the team I intend to actually play and win with. That said, when I do finally win a tough fight, have a couple team members KO'ed, I see my reward for playing within the system is a whopping 20 ISO, when there are 4 perfectly good actual rewards sitting there untouched. That there is a soul crushing bait and switch in my opinion. A finger to the eye.

The real rewards should be claimed first, and if I am willing to grind out a repeatable mission after that point, sure, give me 20 ISO then as a token. But as it is, its juts another link in an un-fun chain of events.

  • Problem is nobody want you to enjoy the game, even if you spend a thousand dollars on it.
All is about draining as much money as they can from frustrated kids. ^ ^

Not as devastating spending 30mins repeating a mission to try & claim the (3 remaining) rewards only to repeatedly get 20 iso's.
  • You shouldn't get 20 even after you get all the rewards. 20 is basically worthless. It should be 50 at least.

It has been addressed. The devs said that they have ideas that they want to implement, but there's got to be heavy testing on it before it goes live. The side effect of any of their ideas resulting in a huge flood of ISO-8 into the economy is a concern, which would cause the gap between the high level players and low level players to expand rapidly. They want to be sure that whatever they do, there is minimal risk of exploitation.

Why can't we push the beginners even lower? There are some in the top 10 of events that win because of scaling and matchmaking, not because they have good teams.

If you are getting 20 ISO when there are 4 rewards remaining, log a bug report. The first reward should always be guaranteed. After that it is chance.

There is supposed to be a 50% chance of a non 20 reward after that. This means you should generally have claimed all the prizes within 10 attempts, but there's no guarantees because its all probability.

In an event like this, where you clear the map multiple times, with multiple attempts per mission it is great. It means you have more to look forward to on the second and third refresh than just 20 ISO.
  • got 8 times in a row the same 20 iso reward (3 remaining) well...what can i say...i "love" this 20 iso thing...
  • yeah get rid of the darn 20 iso reward already
  • Getting 20 ISO is like getting the Zonk! In let's make a deal.
  • stop whining!

I feel like it's actually getting worse. In the first round, I rarely got any 20 ISO pulls. Now, I get it like 95% of the time. The other 5% is boosts. I have only gotten 1x500 ISO and I've played all the missions 4+ times. Just crazy. I was excited about all the ISO in the first round, but I guess the devs weren't as much
  • I am sick of it.

33 missions between last night and this morning. 6 of them I repeated multiple times had both the 500 ISO and recruit token available. Nothing but 20 ISO each time. Boring.

Not just boring but costly. Characters dying due to this ramped up CPU and their insanely lucky drops. How many times can normal iron man foe get 5 drop matches? Would 6 times in a row surprise you?

Now what are the odds of that vs my 50% reward odds per match?

This game can be straight up evil and I have no idea why. I mean I gave it $60 you think it could give me 500 ISO rewards now and then.
  • Why make us repeat missions where enemy levels get higher and higher as the game comtinuously pukes out 20 ISO more often than not? At least keep the enemy levels where they were if we don't get 1 of the 4 rewards. All you're going it do is frustrate the player base and make us feel like we're wasting out time for an abysmal amount of ISO. It is the opposite of rewarding; more like a sick joke.

I think 50 Iso would be in line with them adding 30 iso to PvP matches. The fear would be people grinding out early prolog missions for easy Iso, so i would suggest doing it for only for the limited PvE events since even the easy missions eventually scale anyway.
  • If we get the 20 ISO reward, the levels shouldn't go up. This feels like a good compromise so that Devs won't have to "ruin the ISO economy" by increasing the reward.

20 ISO is plain terrible... feels like a slap in the face every time I get it, when there's other stuff at roulette

50 would be much better - if easy prologue missions is of concern, the 50 iso should only kick in, when you are fighting a battle that actually has other stuff to be won (100/250/500 ISO, HP, covers etc.)

Agree with mostly everyone on this topic. On the prologue missions, I would play and play and until I got that green check mark. Ususally it was about 6 or 8 turns get get all the 4 rewards and a couple of 20 ISOs, but now on these events, I just get the first reward and then its just the 20 ISO. I'm not sure why I would play the event for that. I could either fight the level 10 HAMMER guys with 30 second fights (prologue) or the level 150+ guys with 5-10 minute fights and have the same rewards. I finished 5th in the hard simulator round 2 and I got a couple duplicate cards so really only 375 ISO.
  • 20 ISO is garbage when I beat 3 100 level characters with my 85, 60, & 45 level team.
  • 1st Clear - Boost
    2nd Clear - 100 ISO
    3rd Clear 250 ISO/ Standard Token
    4th Clear - 500 ISO
Repeated clears - PvE points + 50 ISO

    Oh look! fixed!

The extra ISO wouldn't cause the gap between the high and low players to widen. As long as the ISO is distributed properly and evenly, it would actually decrease the gap between the top and bottom players. I know an extra 10k ISO would mean a lot more to my roster than it would do for someone like Nemek or Walkyourpath.

I also agree that 20 ISO rewards are so frustrating. In the 2nd round of the Simulator I ended up repeating one mission 9 times before I got any of the 3 rewards remaining. Assuming the odds really are meant to be 50/50 for either 20 ISO or a remaining reward, that would mean I just hit odds of 1/256, or less than 1% to actually get 20 ISO 8 times in a row. That was quite frankly ridiculous.
