Final node for this event seems to be broken. I beat it twice already, died quite a few times, attempting to get the 2 CP rewards, still don't have them thanks to 20-iso. When you play it, keep an eye on the enemy AP, and see what its supposed to be, as opposed to what is generated.

Just like in Age of Ultron; Hulk does not like Scarlet Witch. Survival nodes were beaten with my tried and true team of LCap/Hood/She-Hulk. Got to drain that AP or expect to get smashed by 3 good 4 star.png 's.

Very enjoyable PvE. Built on already good structure of Growth Industry, added command points, a good follow up to Hearts of Darkness story-line and we actually got to know Amadeus in game.

Bravo D3/Demiurge, more like this please.

I agree, things are not operating as expected, which hurt my OBW purple matching to feed MNmags. Still got through, but I wonder if they changed how the cosmic tiles generate AP (only on the tiles they occupy, plus black) and just didn't update the power description.

Rode my DDQ 2* team (thormneto) through the entire event, even Lvl395 Hulks. Slow going but guaranteed wins if I can get rolling.
  • Since they first showed Tulk and everytime I've seen him since I get rock me Amadeus stuck in my head lol. Thought it was very clever to slip that in the story line. +1 to the writers!

    Amadeus Amadeus, Amadeus Amadeus....

Anyone have any idea on team composition to get past the first node. I can manage to get to the third wave before getting murderdeathkilled.
  • First node looked like it was going to be easy with Patch Wolverine + Loki's black, up until Doc Ock. He managed to use his Manipulation, but Wolverine survived (about 6k damage), so save up tiles to take him out quickly.

Managed to get through the 3rd node thanks to Spider-Man. His blues stalled everyone enough to prevent their anger, Cap's red kept dealing damage, and Hood supplied some tiles and lowered Cap's countdown.

Final node I didn't bother trying to take down his HP and dumped all my whales on him...

Fully agree. double-plus good points for implementation.

I struggled with the "Hulk Trio" node, but once I switched from "max level" (209 Nick, 209 XFW, Hood) to stunlock (LCap, SWitch, Hood) it was trivial.

The last node I switched it up a couple times before nailing it with Hood and Cyclops (reasoning that his Red AP generation and Hoods AP steal would be enough to pull off a black Full Blast win... turns out just his red was used 3 or four times.

I really enjoyed how they tied the Ghost Rider story together (and hinted at the future). Glad to see the inhabitants of the town weren't left in Hell! icon_e_biggrin.gif

For my second attempt at first node I used Default hulk, 3 mags, and Kamala. Beat it no problem.

I took down the Hulks with my go-to survival team of Cyc, KK, and of course, Steve. They were level 310'ish for me.

I got very lucky when She-Hulk Furious Charged me (I was short on blue and couldn't keep her permastunned); I only lost my yellow & my team-up. If I'd lost any of red, blue, or black I might have just retreated.

Not exactly sure what's going on with that last node, but the power description certainly isn't happening as written. Especially screws OBW because you'd like her to steal as many colors as possible. I was using Blade to steal, but with all the enemy matches being the same strength, I would never get the color I wanted, so that was messed up too.

3*Cap/Hood/OBW made Node 3 (Hulks @ 395 for me) cake. They never had enough AP to fire a power, and were pretty much perma-stunned for 95% of it. The only nastiness was the Team-UP which hit OBW.

This was working for me until She-Hulk pulled off a lucky "Power Of Attorney" which took out Hood and OBW in one shot even though she was nearly down. I got some unlucky drops, I won't bang on about the computer AI getting two or three critical tiles to match a colour they didn't need in a match of three.

Level 395 Hulks for me, and to my surprise I managed it on my first try with one of my favorite combos: Luke Cage/Falcon/Iron Fist. Luke Cage took a dirt nap in the second round, and Iron Fist was down to 500 by the third round, but I pulled through. Having lucky placement for my protect tile (it was over 800 by the last round) helped greatly, as did some lucky cascades granting me plenty of purple for Iron Fist to keep on' punching.

Exceptionally well done event guys. Thematic, interesting, and for once, not mind smashingly difficult. Plus you didn't make me use Amadeus for that massive avenger wave. Props and kudos.

I went into the 395 Hulk trio with Cap/Loki/Hood. Since Anger is rarely going to go off with a Hulk that big, I just denied green and did match-3 damage until I had enough red and blue for double shield tosses and enough black for Hood to drop the count if needed. After that, no Hulk went unstunned.
  • Haven't seen anyone mention this team yet but I made it through all levels on first try with lvl 200 Jean grey, lvl 195 prof x, and max Scarlett witch. I've been using them in pve too and they can clear most any teams. Prof x with five blue is essential, and having pink as the highest color between the three. But most times sw countdown goes off if there's a match five its instant 4k damage, and fills jg pink for 3.5k team damage and then it cycles pretty easily. My hulks were at 395 and ive only reached this scaling recently because of my three 5 stars. I only have three four stars that are actually usable so it was nerve wracking to be pushed into the big leagues for this event! I very much enjoyed it though!

For the 3-hulk fight, stunlocking is indeed the way to go.

Personally, I just completed it using a 5/4/3 The Hood, paired with 3/5/5 OBW + 5/5/1 classic spidey.

It is a bit slow, because only Hood can fire damaging powers, but it's got OBW purpleflag.png + Hood blueflag.png stealing AP; Spidey yellowflag.png + OBW blueflag.png can heal if you're in a pinch (but you should try to avoid it if you can, because it's better used for more stunning + Twin Pistols, respectively), and Hood's blackflag.png to finish off waves so you can start the new Hulk with another stun. Only use pistols when the enemy is stunned.

I sped up the match a bit by means of an Onslaught teamup (since you're not using it, it's easy to get to 30 greentile.png), and a strike tile placer.

    Things to watch out for:
    • Enemy team up power; You're probably have to allow some enemy matches from time to time, so either deny tutile.png or try to get the AI to fire it early so it doesn't tinykitty you in a later phase. It almost did me in in wave 3.
    • She-Hulk's greenflag.png will destroy your AP, don't let that happen!
    • Running out of bluetile.png for stuns at critical times. You can try to minimize this risk by bringing an extra TU stunning power ( icon_captainamerica.png blueshield comes to mind as it will also replenish your bluetile.png stash)

After the first wave, I stun locked my through the fourth node with Lcap, Hulk, and LC. Basically just continuously using shield throw with shield freeze while building up Hulk's green and LC's Black and Yellow, which I unleashed on the final wave.

LCap, Hood and OBW eventually conquered node three, node four was a breeze in comparison.
