I have to wonder what kind of MMR a guy gets to where he can sit for 30 minutes at 729, win a match and go to 756, and sit unshielded without being seen as a giant scooby snack. This guy Gotchaye is just hanging out untouched... I never get that blessed MMR.

I think it's that I was pretty thoroughly tanked before recent PvP changes, plus I made a huge jump from 85 2* Wolverine as my main damage dealer to ~130 Patch when they let us sell Wolverine and Thor. Once I get up to 500+ I start seeing a fair number of maxed 2* teams and the occasional team of 100+ 3*s, but I'm still less tempting of a target than lots of people in my MMR who don't have enough IM40 covers to be threatening.
  • If you start a battle in the last minute and finish it after time expires does it count? Generally it says i got tournament points but i have always been skeptical.
    Short: no.

Long: the points get reported to you as having been added because that happens on the client before synchronization, but if the server's clock says the tournament is over, it won't update scores. If you finish right on the dot, it would still count and then potentially kick you back the the event tab, and it might count if your clock's slightly fast, so your client thinks the tournament is over but the server disagrees (assuming that still happens - I think R48 is making some improvements regarding what only the server is trusted for, time-wise?).

Someone, I forget who, noted that there's a shield symbol displayed during that reward animation that hides the client and server chatting about what's just happened to reach an agreement about who has what points now, and if the symbol's grayed out the points change is being discarded.
  • When I shield I exit the tournament for good, no watching.

Sure it works as you said. As f-d design as you can get, but serves its purpose to force shield purchase.

Cool thanks for Info, so in the future I won't bother to start a fight i can't finish in time( i believe there is a saying that goes something like that already lol). Important to know.

As boring as the first, playing this tournaments for 2 days are a complete loss of precious time.

Defending a Castle wall (When you are shielded and watching people try to climb the ladder at the end, only to drop back down 100's of points like you just poured hot oil on them.)

What do you think of watching the leader boards in the last hours of a tournament?

    shoulda got a moat..

And watching that guy with a level 30 roster climb to the top because he has stupidly low MMR is like...
Watching Steve take the pole out of the ground and climb into the truck (if you're a recruit.)
