The last few hours of a 2 day tournament are like....

Defending a Castle wall (When you are shielded and watching people try to climb the ladder at the end, only to drop back down 100's of points like you just poured hot oil on them.)








What do you think of watching the leader boards in the last hours of a tournament?

It's entertaining in a stomach-churning sort of way.

Now you mention it, though, the last few hours of a 2 day tournament are like belatedly realizing you've done exactly one match so far in Double Shot 2, have a 60-odd IM40 so can't really go quickly, and...bugger.

Playing Left 4 Dead in versus mode. Your opponents always have a dozen more health packs than you.

Been watching people making pushes, then drop off the top 10 entirely, if you do make a push, don't stay unshielded too long, when I made this last push to 810 I got hit 4x one min after shielding.

Yea I saw you when you were in the 600-700 range and you got knocked down pretty good, but then you came right back to the top

Let's hope for the best. I probably won't push unless I have to so don't worry about me.

I really thought about hitting Clint too...it seemed you were unshielded for awhile and by far the highest point value I came across (you were at like 760ish when I saw you.) But, you know...forum camaraderie and all. (Ok, it was mainly because I didn't feel like accidentally losing to a 141 IM40)

I had you queued up for a while too:). Was my Punisher at 141 yet? I hate him more than IM40, I have lost to punisher too many times, wondering **** happened:p

All things being equal, losing a highly useless IW cover isnt going to break my heart if someone makes a push past me:p

I have to wonder what kind of MMR a guy gets to where he can sit for 30 minutes at 729, win a match and go to 756, and sit unshielded without being seen as a giant scooby snack. This guy Gotchaye is just hanging out untouched... I never get that blessed MMR.

For the last couple of tournaments with Daredevil rewards I've been like eff it. Let me drop from 2nd place to top 45. I don't want to pay for a shield.

Is it just me or does he seem to take a LONG time to finish a fight? Maybe has a beer or a snack in between rounds. Maybe he is wearing a Ghillie Suit and the zombies can't see him which is why he can sit unshielded for so long?

Yeah he is in our bracket, but not our MMR. Just interesting to be able to hang out in ANY MMR without being targeted.

That dreaded feeling when you realize that the "line" has been drawn for defending the castle wall (usually the top 5-10 shielded), and you are on the outside looking in... realizing that you are going to have to out claw and swipe the dozen of others trying to scale the wall at the same time as you, often in futility.

Totally, like top 15 in my bracket were all shielded. I feel really dirty about it, but I actually spent hp on health packs to win one more battle to jump from 15-13 in the last few minutes. I figured it was worth the gamble on getting 2 covers vs 1. Well, at the end I remember seeing 3 non shielded people in top 15.

If you start a battle in the last minute and finish it after time expires does it count? Generally it says i got tournament points but i have always been skeptical.
