secondary question.. would you drop 1k HP to roster a 1 or 2* char?0 -
Who knows about the 1*s and 2*s, but they stated in the past that 3*s are done0
-
I'm pretty sure 2* is done as well. I can sort of imagine a 1* coming along, I mean the draw at the beginning is to get a roster of characters you recognise so it feels fun. Everyone would want an Iron Man or a Spider Man for instance.
Just means I'll never get my Rescue that I'd always hoped for. No way she warrants a 4* ranking along side Hulkbuster.0 -
I'd wish they would just add characters like how they did with 1* Spider-Man. I mean the more the merrier0

Add all new characters at 1* level, allow them to be levelled up to 5* rarity with iso/hp/command points.
Focus would then be on incoming new characters, not rarity level.

spidey 1* messed standard token odds, me think
somehow if dev's willing to vault 3 old 3 star while add new 3 3 star or 2 star vault for new 2 star0 -

Not in my mind, but OBW came in the game early and Cho's in because he's starring in a big launch title. If there was going to be a big Rescue series, and I hope there never is, then there would be a shot. But it's asking for a character that a) isn't a classic character or currently promoted character, b) was never a lead in a series, and c) isn't in a movie or tv property. If this game existed around Fraction's terrible Iron Man run I could see her making the cut.0 -
I would really love if they reworked a lot of things in the game. The main one probably being covers/rarity.
I don't want there to be a finite end to this game. I don't want there to be a time where I've collected and fully covered my doods.
I would love character rotations, retirement, the ability to evolve a character into the next level character (for ones have iterations at multiple levels) rather than reaching a max cap at a level and being done.
So many things this game can be but it is limited by its own build/structure.0 -
Can someone indicate where they said they were done with 3*s?0

They said since there were 40 already, they had no plans to add more. They never said never, just no plans for any anytime soon0 -

Up means adding more tiers. There's is still room to go on the 4* tier, and they could drag out 5*s for a long, long time.
But those are long game.
To appeal to up and coming players, vaulting old 1*s, 2*s, and 3* and introducing new ones seems inevitable. Can you imagine the game at 4yrs old and the same range of characters?
While they are in the vault, old characters should be reworked and brought up to current meta, giving he playerbase something to look forward, and a reason to play along with the vaulting.
A reason beyond having the "old" guys rostered as a sign of experience and status
I remember thinking the 5* "These are meant to be high tier, game ending characters" strategy was immensely short sighted.
Really, characters should be consistently added to all tiers. Otherwise you're creating a power creep within your game whereby only the strong survive.
And I'm not saying we should neuter all characters to be on the same level, not at all, but you're at a stage now where the long-term players have the best rosters. Obviously. But the new guys have a harder time competing. There are no leagues or anything, there's no sense of "I'm a 2* player, therefore I pit my team against other 2* players". It's get 4* or get stomped on.
Difficult to think of a way to improve it. I mean, if you had a 2* league, for example, would the prize be more 2*s? Or 3*s? By the logic of the latter, a 3* league would reward with 4*s. That would be great for me, sre. But then what about the 4* league? Can't really give 5*s away like candy, can we? Maybe they just get 4* prizes, but more?
Regardless, having a 5* tier that's not meant to be improved upon because the characters are insanely hard to acquire really limits the future playability of the game. What happens when they think they've made enough 4*s?0 -

I hope for the sake of new players that 3* is done. It is tough right now to get through the 3* transition. It's hard enough to get gold covers from your heroic tokens, and then there's still a slim chance of that gold cover being for a specific 3* character. For a current player going through the 3* transition, you either have to shell out money for roster spots or pray to RNGesus that you only get covers for the 4-5 keepers that will fit on your roster.
Most people only bump six to eight 2* characters to level 94 before moving on to the 3* transition, so any new 2* character will get lost in the void.
1* spidey essentially replaces bag man. It's good to have two 1* characters that you can bring up to level 50, but like above, you only have 5 roster spots at the beginning so more 1* characters will just mean more ISO and less covers for a newbie.
I think that the idea of rotating characters or having a 'vault' that characters can get placed into or taken out of could be a workable idea. Kind of have 'seasons' where certain characters are out or in, and only characters that can be pulled during that season will get boosts.0 -

a lot of people do (at least 2 star wise) they buy another slot instead of dropping someone for the new 4 star so you could say they paid 1000 for a 2 star slot0 -

She is a movie property: Pepper donned the suit in IM3 to rescue Tony, and her suit does appear in the collection.
Also, she was the lead in a series : http://marvel.com/comics/issue/30249/rescue_2010_1
So i wouldn't count her out.0 -

Yeah this limitation is what makes the game sort of finite. Like once you get to a new tier, theres no reason to use previous tiers unless they are boosted.0 -

She wasn't in as Rescue, she was just in a suit. And I'm aware she had a one shot, but that's not a series. It's damn near the opposite. There's always a chance she could appear and RNGesus knows this game could use more female characters, but there's plenty of better choices.0
