    I guess my original question is fairly simple to answer. Yes, it's something we didn't have before that helps progression. However, I see it as a means of further dividing the have and have nots.

    It's obvious that the top alliances have grossly more CP's based on Stark purchases alone. Rumors of off-season alliances forming for the sole purpose of trading CP's is also a thing. Unless CP's are more evenly distributed, I don't believe they are great for the game. The divide will get bigger and bigger.
