Rango, increasing the purple also increases the damage it deals per swap. For that reason, many choose to max out purple.

Maxed out, it is potentially the most damaging attack in the game. Along with Smash.

His red, while good at 2 ap, does too little damage.

Yeah, his purple is fantastic, and if I had a do over, I might be tempted to change my spec, but I built mine to work with my Loki, who I fell in love with early on, and as soon as I saw the first announcement for Patch, I decided on a Mag, Loki, Patch combo, with Loki's purple being used more often than Mags', and being able to spam Mags' red once Patch puts down his strike tiles. It has worked very well. Before the all-color stockpile boost got changed to costing HP, I could win the majority of my fights without the enemy team even taking a single turn.

Anyone encountered ChevalierP last LR? He rolled through my lv41 Mag, lv112 Rag and lv133 Spidey twice in quick succession with his lv15 Mag and two 1* covers...

Edit: now he is appearing in my opponent list in double shot with a lv15 IM40, lv50 MStorm and lv41 hood with 645 pts, where my usual opponents are maxed lv141 covers, ****?

Yea, he is 100% no way legit. The fact he can use that team and win against me in the double shot, and quickly I may add, means he is full of ish. His roster is too weak to really even luck into a win so its not just a defense error or something either..

I placed 17th in the morning's Ragnarok round, which is far and away the best I've ever done in the villain rounds, and overshot the (first ever) diabolical I was aiming for to get the green Rags cover (which I did need, I guess, but it was my fifth). I only really played for 15 minutes in the beginning and another 15 minutes at the end - I hadn't really intended to compete; I just saw that it looked feasible all of the sudden and jumped in.

I need to start playing in the morning rounds more often. Pity 6 am is always Ragnarok, I've got him at 5g 3r now and don't really need his covers as much as, say, Hood (who I have one blue in and that's it).

Finally got my last Hood yellow, and I'm now done with my villains. I might still play for Mags in case my build is suboptimal after the coming changes, but other than that, I'm done! LRs always cause me so much stress, I feel pressure to compete in any event that has a cover I need as a reward. If I do decide to compete in a Mags round, I'll try and let any forum members I see finish higher than me (I do check this post often during the day, so if you are going for Mags, maybe post before the round with your PVP name so I know to let you by?)

Yup, you will never see me in a Hood LR again, unless I'm going for the 100 point run for ISO, then tank team.

I'm assuming they're probably using my team to set up their own tank teams.
Can't see how people could lose to 15 Doom 6 C.Storm and 1 Venom xD

Okay, what are tank teams? And how do you make them work, specifically in Lightning Rounds?

But... they're teams you use to on purposely lose to lower your MMR.

MMR is Match Making Rating which determines the quality of teams you play against.
So if you find yourself playing teams that are way higher levels than you have you've probably pushed your MMR too high.

Damn it, I don't need purple Loki, I need black! Stop knocking me JUST down to 9 and 10!

Three Loki rounds in a row I've been 1-2 places out of 8th, and my Loki sits at 4/5. Just got hit by Jachdo twice, and I can't make up a 60+ point gap in 6 minutes.

EDIT: Hoping I fall to a diabolical token, but I don't see that happening in 6 minutes, either.

Try forfeiting matches selectively. Easy way to drop back down.

I was trying to tank the Loki round and ended up finishing top 50. Got my third blue hood cover from the diabolical token. I'd like to use the hood more but I only have the three blues for him.

Not quite, what you want to do is pick a LR that you want to do well in, and in the LRs leading up to that one you put in your tank team and let them get pounded on over and over. You finish horribly in the LRs you don't care as much about, and then your opponents are easier in the ones you DO care about.
