    Thanks to all for the OBW suggestion. If nothing else it at least gives me something to work on as the game had reached a standstill for me.

    Yep, that sounds all too strange, we had tournaments providing strong characters (ares, hulk, punisher). A fair set of covers can be gathered in prologue and there's huge supply of gray tokens to drop a ton of ** covers. Then there are the progressions too, and reaching the ** prizes range in tournaments should not be a big problem even with just the * IM/storm/bw team.

    I was unable to get the *** cover prizes in the recent events as I wasn't allowed to play in the big point battles due to not having the required high level covers. The ** tokens give me Captain America and little else. Every now and then it'll give me a ** Wolverine or Thor for variety, but most of the time it's Captain America.

    Overusage. 80% of teams have her. As all other heroes dont really needed funbalancing, i agree she neither, however based on devs attitude...

    I think that unlike Thor/Wolvie (whose power level was clearly too powerful for a 2* character), OBW is at a good spot in terms of being a balanced character right now. I currently view the 2* roster as 2 separate tiers: Thor/Ares/Wolvie/OBW/C. Storm/ maybe Daken as tier 1 and able to be invested in, and everyone else as tier 2 and too meh to invest iso into. The devs should focus on buffing tier 2 characters (and maybe nerf OBW a little bit) if they want to build a solid 2* roster.

    I would love to use M. Hawkeye, Magneto, and Moonstone for my 2*team. They don't need much tweaking either imo. Hawkeye you should be able to place your tiles, Magneto just needs some cost lowered, and Moonstone.....well she needs more work lol. Her black ability definitely should cost less than 10, and her purple and red could be buffed for slightly more damage.

    Don't neglect the PVP events. It is not too hard to get the first 3 progression rewards, even if you cannot place high. I know those 1* tokens will drop something you already have nine times out of ten, but that tenth drop can be sweet sometimes. I know I have gotten a few of my OBW covers as well as Spidey and a few other 3* covers from these. I don't pay for covers, so I know how you feel (except I never thought I had too much ISO without a use for it) but eventually you start to break through that plateau. I am starting my transition from ** to *** and have been playing since last October. Could have been here sooner if I hadn't shied away from the PVP for a period.

    3 more ** tokens since the post above. 2 Captain America's and a ** Wolverine.

    While I think that replacing OBW with ** Wolverine has improved my team I suppose it still hasn't addressed the fundamental problem I'm running into of not getting useable covers.

Then again, Black Panther doesn't look that great compared to other characters. I did however get another 2 star token. It was a Red Captain America...

    Have they upped the Captain America drop rate to 80% or something? I swear I could have rebuilt him twice this week.

    When the Spidey mags nerf, I mean rebalance, rain down; she'll be the best utility character in the game. She will be on every single team in the mid range. Denying AP is crucial against high health 3*. Also, Heroic packs are giving out Hulk, Hood, Rags, OBW, andMags covers like crazy.

    On another not; and this is personal, Cap is horrible. Outside of PVE, he's absolutely useless.

    I still use my lvl 85 3/5/5 OBW in half my setups or more. Espionage + strike tiles for the win. Last PvE event strike tiles for daken meant that OBW blue/purple/blacks were 300 + 300 damage sometimes even rasing to 500 + 500 with enough strike tiles on the board. And ask Koolbiird say AP steals from dino saved a character for being one shot more than once.

    Two 2 star tokens today. Yellow Storm and Blue Captain America.

    Despite the reassurances here that three star covers are just around the corner I have to say that I'm still thinking I've gone as far as I can without paying money. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

    Uhhh... Pump up your OBW and see how that works for the next few PvP rounds.

    If that doesn't... You may have gone as far as you can go. Not because you're a freebie player, but because you're horrible at the game. My stable of tourney-ready 2* characters is only level 65, and I can hit top 5 when I need to, seem to usually settle for top 15. I don't have any maxed 3* characters, like your IM40.

    Outside of Magneto and Spiderman there are no 3* that's clear cut above their 2* counterparts, and both are surprisingly weak on defense due to how the AI plays them. No you probably shouldn't expect to down a team of 3X141 with Thorverine like the past, but shouldn't a team of 3X141 be heavily favored against 3X85 especially when they're likely to possess at least one of the clearly broken characters?

    If you take account of the fact that usually tournaments have featured characters that aren't likely to be highly leveled, it's really 2 level 85 versus 2 level 141 and it's not nearly as bad as 3X85 vs 3X141. Take something like Daredevil tournament, if your team is DD/Spiderman/whoever, you'd be seriously lacking in firepower if the opponent managed to knock out your 3rd guy quickly or at least neutralized him.

    I've only put money in the game for roster spots and two and I'm no where near where you are in terms of maxed level characters. I've been playing for about a month though. I was able to get a DD through a recent tournament and before I came to this forum I maxed out my 1*'s so I will probably have psylocke soon. I found that the Simulator was a great way to build some of my characters and get some ISO, but I know it can be tough when you don't get the right covers.

    You and I either end up in different brackets or I really am terrible at this game (maybe both). How are you consistently defeating teams of highly leveled 3 star characters with a team of mid/high leveled 2 star characters?
