Marvel Puzzle Quest: a tale of two platforms

I had been tempted to get this for PS3 / PS4, but after reading how grindy it is to level up a roster, and that the online leaderboard for Vs is a barren wasteland, I think I'll save my $15. If I want to play the same PVEs over and over to level up my roster, I'll stick to the mobile game, where I might actually get a new character. I was going to purchase it to support D3 and MPQ, but I spent $20 on the last day of the Anniversary, so I think I'll save $15 and avoid a lot of frustration. I've been playing for over 500 days, and $20 is really nothing in the big scheme of things, but I won't be spending any more money on the mobile version either, because I don't want it to be viewed by them, as support of the decisions they make.
