You keep doing what you do IceIX. I know I appreciate all you do for this forum and the game and it's obvious that so do others.0

Aw... IceIX even inspires haiku!
IceIX rocks. Thank you.0 -
Huzzah for IceIX! Best mod in the realm!0

In the past week or so I have seen IceIX quote both the Outer Limits and Conan. He's aces in my book.0

Adding my 2 cents, IceIX, thank you so much for treading these sometimes hate filled forums. Also what you posted in the Spidey funbalance thread about timelines for people who are holding onto their covers, Awesome. You didn't have to do that, and it was great customer service.0

I feel I should bring this back in light of the new events that have recently transpired.
It's understandable that people are growing increasingly weary and agitated at the current state of affairs with MPQ, but to take it out on the one man who tries to shed light on the man in the chairs decisions - with which he takes in great dignity - is a shame on our beloved one man forum admin.
You can't blame the man who is put up Kitty creek without a paddle. If IceIX personally administered and coded the changes himself then sure, raise the pitchforks.
I'm pretty sure he didn't however. (I hope to god you didn't Ice! )
If anything it appears to me that even IceIX is getting fed up of the game (he appears to play even less now!)
So come on guys, lets here it once more for the guy who tries, and by the son of Odin does he try.
So please, direct your anger towards the game, not our beloved one man admin who is sent to face an army... by himself... with no guns... or ammo.0 -
Yeah, I don't think it's IceIX's fault that communication is not even on the D3/Demiurge list of priorities. Most of the time, he does a good job of explaining other people's bad decisions, but the trend towards less and less engagement means that his once-in-a-blue-moon "feedback" threads are more like his boss had the bright idea "I know! Let's throw IceIX to the lions again!" than anything constructive. We know that D3/Demiurge won't take our input seriously, so why fake it?
I think it's the futility of the entire charade that's most enraging.0 -
ICEIX
I dont care what anyone else says. You're awesome. Thanks for putting up with us.0 -
Sounds like whitewashing. Everyone is responsible for what he does. Those who sell the quack medicine are as bad as those who make it -- and those advertising it not better either. Stating it is good for you and inciting you to pay up too.
I can't really tell if he actually believes what he says or not so much but chooses to anyway -- but for either case he well deserves all the heat. And I'm sure it's just a fraction of it, most people are wiser not post their opinion here as it is redundant anyway.
OTOH :thumbs up: for the resurrection0 -
This thread will not hear of any Ice bashing with picks or otherwise.
Ice technically has to defend the decision, whatever they decide to do...
Thus he has to rationalize it and explain these reasons to the community. He may not agree with it, but it's not really in his best interest to incite a riot on the forum and lead the mob on here with the devs poor decision making.
He like the rest of us (probably) believes some of what he is saying, but will (most likely) understand our concerns and grievances.
Alas, gripes go up in the chain of command, private! Not down.0 -

IceIX, you're a legend. How do keep your cool with all the heat and flaming from the haters?
Oh, that's right - ICE.
The game has had its highs and lows, but your standard of professionalism never wanes. Props for that, and thanks for putting up with us!0 -
As much as I may rant at him, or to him, or just in his general direction, I really do appreciate the fact he comes here and is willing to face the angry mob when he surely knows how the angry mob will react to the latest "feature" the devs come up with. I wish he was here more often, but I do appreciate him and think he's a good guy. Cheers IceIX.0

Not sure he believes what he is typing at times, but can't really fault the guy for coming on and communicating.0

Ok, in light of forumites taking it out on IceIX for being a messenger, I need to post my own IceIX appreciation post.
I have been fortunate enough to be in an alliance that placed Top 100 for Season 1 and Top 50 for Season 2. So I have two Nick Fury covers. Right?
That should be the case, had it not been quick slip / fat finger / still sleepy me trying to sell my torrent of covers right after Season 1 finished. Yup, I accidentally sold my Season 1 reward of Nick Fury cover along with a couple of Patch cover that I got from tokens.
Imagine my horror, and I quickly logged a Customer Support ticket to explain this is a genuine mistake and pleaded to have the cover back. Take back the 1000 ISO please. Within a week or so, I got my answer: Nope, there are 2 steps confirmation in order to sell 3* or 4* covers. Sucks to be you. Desperate, I replied and explained in more detail that I toiled an entire season to get this reward. At the same time, I remember reading forum posts that IceIX helped out fellow forumers that made similar genuine mistake. I wrote to IceIX for help via PM. Sure enough, even though he is extremely busy, he got back to me, said he checked my account and said he would look into this.
Then I got a second reply from CS saying nope, this is our policy, sorry no can help you. I showed IceIX the reply and he responded that he can understand where CS came from, but this is different, and told me to watch this space.
Couple of weeks later, I got a purple Nick Fury cover, with the subtext "accidentally sold cover". It really made my day and I couldn't thank IceIX enough for this.
So ladies and gents, please appreciate that we have at least IceIX as a communication channel and do not be nasty to him. He has helped many forumites with problem like mine and more. Let's at least be mature and civilised to the news-bearer even if the news is bad.0
