I just hope they don't put carnage up against Doc Ock. That would really suck.
  • Prof X was too easy, and I'm saying that as someone who has only managed to win 2 of these now. It wasn't that hard to find a good opponent for him, it just has to be someone capable of doing team damage to kill him invisible, which Carnage looked like... but a single playtest would have showed wasn't the case.

Well, they already did that with Invisible Woman. This time we got an opponent who can't deal team damage but can pop the invisibility tile with an ability. I appreciated the novelty.

nope. thank you. after playing Cyclops, mags, cage, jean, blade, gamora...i will never look back and think carnage was too easy.

Oh yeah... I never gave him the chance so forgot he had that option! icon_e_smile.gif

Glad the developers are easing off on us here. Rulk vs. Hulk was pretty reasonable.

    X-23 I'm guessing against Daken.

Green Hulk (under covered, we'll see if that continues next round)
  • Totally Awful Hulk icon_hulkcho.png Vs The Hulk everyone actually wants! icon_redhulk.png
Not quite Spiderman icon_miles.png Vs Actually Spiderman (Classic) icon_spiderman.png
'Stop hitting yourself' Venom icon_venom.png Vs Son of 'Stop hitting yourself' Venom icon_carnage.png

    My guesses...

I like these ideas but instead of Venom vs Carnage I can see venom vs Miles.
Fun would it be for Nova to face Carnage. All those cheep strike tiles with all those attack tiles. Thinking about that just makes me happy carnage faces doc Ock compared to Nova.

A few posts up somebody said it was :Hulk:, and that one was a Level 222 2/2/2 one for added ease.

I'm curious to see if they pit Miles against Gwen and/or vice versa. Not sure if Gwen will be included in this iteration or not though.

Huh, just noticed that we missed Devil Dino's turn for the 2nd run. Not too surprising since it was Aniversary week last time he got his shot, but it does show that the developers are not keeping everything the same. Since my 1st run included a large dryspell, does anyone know if there were any other major changes in covers or levels of the opposing forces?

No changes so far, though I wouldn't mind seeing Starlord facing someone other than Gamora...
Devil Dino is only let out to play during Anniversary week though, so it's not strange he was skipped this time.

Red Hulk vs Hulk was against a Level 222 Hulk with reduced covers, unsure if that'll be repeated.

And they managed to remove all the enemy team ups.

That's been the only big change I've seen.

Although, there HAVE been some scaling changes since. 270 Moonstone will probably not be as bad as it was the first go-around. I'm not sure about 270 3*s in comparison, though.

270 4*s will be "normal" strength and if recent boosting is any indication, 3*s and 2*s will be pretty neutered.
