Now that I've gotten the AP stockpile boost from the progression reward, I'm pretty much finished playing this PVE! icon_lol.gif

^^yeah he got me once with those upgraded tiles, it was brutal, wiped me 3 times I think until I brought
Hulkbuster along for the ride and smashed 'em out...on a happy note though I did not join a slice until this morning and must have gotten super lucky because there were only 25 players! It quickly went up but even now 4 1/2 hours later there are only 400 and I am sitting comfortably in 8th.
  • Most delicious moment in this PVE? My faith in Doc Ock being a good character for certain match ups being rewarded.

Downed DPX with an Optic Blast Team, up. Storm had cast Hailstorm, twice before I had enough blue for Manipulation.

Floored Thing from near full health to 0 in one move. Probably the most ridiculous damage out put I've ever seen in my life.

I just tried DocOck on there. It was fun.

Oh boy, Simulation 7 is against lvl396 icon_silversurfer.png
  • The thing I've learned from this PvE is that Mister Fantastic is actually pretty good. His heal is super annoying to deal with, especially if he then also generates green too. No idea how good he is in PvP though.

What are you using on Sim 5, round 3 vs Blade, SWitch & Kingpin.

Never mind, just beat it with Daredevil 166, Cyclops 140 and 2Storm

Goto team this pve is Patch Loki Doc Oc. Store green black and blue, berserker into doc oc blue kills most characters. Surprisingly effective against Surfer too. At level 396 he's 'only' 18k health. As long as you deny his heal it should be doable.

Have you beaten it? If so, what did you use? I don't think he can be stunned, which makes this a different animal.

Just wondering how many points a full clear of the last sub is. I'm not sure I can make the final progression. It's close.

    Thanks!

I came in with X-Force Wolverine 270 (with +2 Green/Black AP boost), Loki 166, and 4* Thor 188. My thinking being that Wolverine is highly boosted, Loki could do some AP denial, and Thor could do a big Smite since she and Silver Surfer both generate charged tiles.

It ended up being a cakewalk, but I think by sheer luck. Silver Surfer managed to mostly match his weak colors, and a single Surgical Strike and a Smite was all it took. That being said, his health is way lower than you would expect (EDIT: This is because of the Level Display bug.) He only had about 18,000 for me.

This was a tough event for me and my mostly 2* roster.

Beat every node except surfer and the 4* wolvie ( Dont have one)

The one that gave me the most trouble? Node 6 round 3. Dunno why but they mopped the floor with me loads.

Fyi OBW is amazing when teamed with Jonny storm and cstorm for node 7. Beat it with ease every time.

Don't know about anyone else, but that was one of the easier nodes for me. 166 BP, 166 Hulk, 156 DXF.

Since we both need red, blue, and black I just had to be greedy and prevent him from matching tiles. redflag.png did 3500ish damage and blueflag.png healed him by 6160.

Everytime he made a move, X-Enforcer and Anger over and over. Thunderous clap and Out of bullets did great damage. Countdown for What caused ok damage but i seemed to have a purple heavy board.

The Silver Surfer node is 396 even with an underleveled roster. I used Cyclops, Loki, and The Hood. Simulation 06 is level 133-134 for my level 104 roster.

Just a quick question to those who know better than I.

I am one of those who keep an intentionally lowish roster to PvE, as I play very little PvP.

I've been playing very little of late - missed two PvE's, only managed one pass at the end of another and just started this one now with a day to go. Not sure I will much much time for the next one either.

I recently put ISO into X-Force and IW, putting their levels FAR above the rest of my average.

I was under the impression that this shouldn't affect my scaling - that being more determined by how I play.

I've just come into Round 2, and my Sim 4 is marked as "Easy" with characters almost double the average level of my roster. This doesn't feel quite right and is far higher than I am used to at a starting round. Even my Essentials feel more challenging are are at a higher level and marked "Easy".

Is this as it is intentionally designed or has some sort of initial scaling been set higher now because I levelled up those two characters?

I did it twice with a Level 111 Hulk (5-4-4), Level 107 KK (5-3-5) and 2* Thor (4-5-4)...surfer was 396 for me, too, so I'm not sure what, if any scaling there is. Flooding the board with green cuts his match damage considerably as well as AP to fire off abilities. First time I beat it, Hulk & KK were down, but I felt a little unlucky on AI cascades (he fired off blue twice in spite of only making two blue match-3's all game--the rest fell from the sky). The second time, I felt super lucky with my own cascades and only KK was below 50%, due to SS getting off his red against her.

Definitely winnable with lower level rosters (to a point--I happened to have well-covered Hulk & KK, waiting for my other 3*'s to catch up), but it'll eat health packs.

    Good luck
  • Managed to beat the surfer fight with punisher, Cmags, and hood. He's not insane like I thought he would be. 18k health and his red is only doing 3057. Still can't stun him, his blue heals for a third of his health, and still does some pretty hefty match damage.

Don't be intimidated by his level he's a lot weaker than than he looks.

Yeah, that Surfer node was the easiest final node yet. Xforce/fist/loki made short work of him.
