If you could choose, what would be the devs current focus?

Okay. If you could pick one thing for the devs to focus completely on, after their current work load is finished, what would it be? Please note that this is NOT an official poll, I have no contact with the devs, however, I'd think that they may look it over with interest. Also, I'm aware that most of these things can, and in fact do happen simultaneously, I'm just asking what you think is the most important.

Options in bold, why you may think to pick it in normal.

New PVE story lines. -- What it says, creation of new story lines should be the primary focus -- Not necessarily more dark reign, any story lines. For example, a Civil War story line where you play both sides of the coin would be a nice fit here.

New characters. -- More characters of any type. 1-5*s. Choose this if you'd like to see more of them in game over everything else.

New "types" of game play. -- Primary focus should be on making new types of game play. Maybe co-operative alliance wars? Maybe boss battles with differing mechanics? Adding Auto-play would probably fit in here too.

Tweaking PVP point scoring / shielding. -- Most things in the game are pretty good. Except PVP scoring and shielding, that needs to be looked at, right now! We need to hit 1.3k and get the shiney new legendary tokens!

Tweaking PVP match making. -- Match making needs desperate work, so that the people that you want to fight in PVP come up more. This would also be the place for people who want PVP Leagues / etc.

Tweaking PVE scaling -- Wow. That sub that had 395's all around was intense, pretty happy with the rest of the game, but pve scaling is insane and really needs to be looked at. Not really sure how it needs to change, but make it so, devs!

Changing AI decision making. -- Personally, I like the current AI, it seems a little brain dead, but maybe we should make it at least _try_ a little more. For example, having it put GSBW's green tiles into a cluster around additional greens, instead of randomly on the board. Possibly not match away its own cool downs the turn after they lay them down, that sort of thing.

Balance pass of current characters. -- Woah, boy. All those new things are rushing by way too quickly. There's plenty of characters in the game already, the content is okay, but what you really want is for someone to go back and look at all the current characters we have and give them the once over, buffing (or nerfing) as appropriate. Some of them *cough*IM40*cough* really need to be looked at again.

Restructuring current PVE stories/battles. -- Well, I kind of like the flow of current things, but gosh darn, those pve stories are way too grindy/short/boring. Especially that Florida one. I think someone should go back and re-jig some/all of them to be a nicely balanced / add some fights with the newer characters.

Adding Iso to the current economy. -- Hah. The Game is perfect! ... Except for the fact that my 4*s are fully covered and languishing at level 90. I need more iso, desperately.

Adding HP to the current economy. -- Hah. The Game is perfect! ... Except for the fact that I'm sitting on 2M iso, and can't level stuff up because I have no covers to add to my 3*s and my 4*s covers are expiring in the rewards tab! I think I need more HP to buy stuff.

Add to Alliances / Social -- If you think adding official twitter/facebook integration into the game is the way to go, or you want to change the way that alliances work, pick this one.

Other. -- This is if you have something else that you think the devs should focus on. Please elaborate in the comments. icon_e_biggrin.gif

Personally, I'm picking balance pass. I think it's time we had one, and the rest of the stuff seems fine. My second choice would be new stories. icon_e_biggrin.gif

For me it's a really tough choice between new PvE content and more ISO influx. I guess I'll go for PvE content, it'd be nice to have one or two new events to play through.

everyone knows what I want and I'll pester the hell out of them if I have to.
  • balance older characters. the time is now.
  • Shift all rewards from placement to progression, and reduce the amount of grind required so the game can legitimately be played as a hobby.

I voted character balance but assuming they balance competently... which might not be the case considering what we've seen in the past. The entire top-end will probably get Sentried.
  • They should just spend all day responding to threads all day. Squeaky wheels get the grease.
  • Add a 0 to every current unit of ISO in the game and a level button icon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gificon_e_biggrin.gif

I would like new stories, but I would like leveling my current characters even more. ISO please! DDQ is nice, but ultimately a drop in a very large bucket, that gets larger every two weeks.

I said "tweaking PvE" scaling, but it needs more than a tweak. Everything else on the list affects everyone. PvE scaling is the one thing that screws some people way harder than others, for no legitimate reason.

Why can't we choose everything? I want new stories, new game modes and character rebalances the most, in no particular order. The rest don't really bother me much. Maybe not a fan of shield cooldowns, but it's adequate for what I want to do with it for now.

I went gameplay because it's the only thing that would possibly change the enjoyment of the game.

New story lines? Who has time to read stories during PvE?
Iso availability? Its there. Any tweak here still won't be enough because of rarity balance issues.
Balancing characters? Is IM40s suckitude really hampering?

New game modes might make us forget that competitive PvE is a giant time suck not meant for rational souls, and give us something to do at our own pace, for once.

Interesting topic and it was a tough choice as I would love to see new storylines, new NPC enemies and a reduction of El Senor Grind but I went with new types of gameplay because I think there is a lot of untapped potential there.

Off the top of my head:

X-men Vs Avengers (or Civil War): The player base is divided into two sides and you are limited to the characters in your faction. Non-alliance event with a display showing which side is winning the war. 10 day event with a 5 day break and a rerun with the players switching sides. Personal rewards and faction awards.

True Survival mode: Face off against endless waves of various enemies with great progression prizes and in-game ranking that keeps track of the best records.

Limited Survival battles: Battle Ultra-Tier Boss enemies like Apocalypse with either two ways of "winning", 1. Manage to survive 10 rounds against him or 2. defeat him within 10 rounds (this option being nigh impossible with current characters). Basically Apocalypse has spammable attack powers that clear parts of the board and do AOE damage. Suddenly you make defensive and healing abilities much more appealing.

Limited Round battles: You have to defeat a boss character within a certain amount of rounds otherwise they "escape" with your prize. They can be themed battles, so for example the Red Skull battle would require Captain America, Falcon and Black Widow and Kingpin battles could require Daredevil, Elektra, Spider-Man or Punisher.

Color AP collection race battles: You face off one on one versus a boss character like the Mandarin. Your goal is not to down the enemy but rather reach a certain amount of a specific color(s) AP before he does. Suddenly put those IM40 AP generating skills to good use lol

Guerrilla battles: One of my personal faves. A once a week random encounter with a boss character that requires a certain character. You get only one chance to defeat the enemy. So for example, 4* Sabertooth vs a buffed 2* Wolverine. If you win, you get a 4* Sabertooth cover and another chance next week for a different color cover. If you lose, better luck next time 'bub.

Save the city:Hydra has planted bombs through out the city. Use your heroes to stop them from going off. The more bombs you stop the better ISO you get.

    And so on. The end.

Herein lies the problem when you ignore so many issues for so long.

Character balance for older characters is long overdue especially to address the power creep that is so prevelant. Anyone ever use IM40 in versus when he isn't boosted?

New story content is a must after so long without any. I have said it before and I will say it again, for a game that is marketed as part RPG story is essential. A good story will make or break any RPG and in this department MPQ is severely lacking.

ISO costs were psuedo-fixed but levelling characters towards the upper end of there max is still incredibly hard (read not impossible), for a mobile game you should not be expected to spend 4 or 5 hours per day to farm enough ISO. Yes there are lightning rounds, versus and story events to get ISO from as well as purchasing (lol really at those prices), but not many have time or health packs to do all that.

Story event ranking awards need to be scrapped altogether and need to be incorporated into progression rewards, with most of the better ones added above current max progression. Also adjustments need to be made for the time events take, should be on par with versus events for time/reward ratio.

Versus events really are now pay to win. Either paying outright to max cover a character or paying for shields, and this is fine. It is a free to play game and those who pump hundreds or thousand of real money into the game probably should be at or near the top. Sadly this has the knock on effect that those who need the 3* covers are quite possibly unable to rank high enough to earn them. Season scores have made it like this, the season is everything to some players so they will not take it easy in events that they done need the rewards like they may have done 12 months. Seasons will not be altered so there needs to be another way for players to earn their 3*'s, enter Deadpools Daily Quest!

Deadpools Daily Quest is the single best change made in almost 2 years but there is one small drawback, it is great for developing and building a character as long as you already have that character.

Lack of game modes is something that can be solved very easily and with minimal effort and money. Take all of the existing story events and make them non competitive like Prologue. Beef up the rewards so where Prologue had 1* and 2* chapter 2 can have 2* and 3* and so on and so forth.

The development team have ignored so many issues for so long in a bid to flood the game with new characters that aside from bug fixing there is now no longer a priority list. All these should be classed as priority one and new character development placed on hold.

Tl;Dr all current issues need to be sorted before new character releases.

Balance characters I voted for. I notice many have voted for it as well as ISO (to actually level the characters you have, also important) - and zero have voted for "more new characters"....which is just as important for the devs to see.

Wow, hard to pick just one with so many valid complaints on the list.

The 5*s are bringing with them a shakeup to PvE progression rewards. Placement might still be a bit wacky, but having a good reward not at risk due to how much someone else grinds is a step in the right direction.

Shield hoping isn't probably the best PvP, but it is at least understood and a de facto standard.

I'll vote ISO. Always could use more of that.

REALLY?! No one has voted for "New Characters." This is shocking! We only had 21 new characters so far this year.. we need more! There should be a new character every PVE event and maybe even add new characters to PVP events! Come on everybody!
