I'd want to keep my most built-up 4*s who are worth using, so that's:

And the other four spots would go to broadly useful 3*s that I'd be able to use to reload in PvE and DDQ. Getting to 1K in PvP is probably a lost cause for a while, although a couple lucky IMHB red pulls would get me back in it via Fistbuster.

I think this team would help me remain competitive in both PvP and PvE. As previously mentioned, 1* and 2* are not difficult to come by (with the exception of purple 1* Spidey covers. i just need one more! haha) and although Iron Fist is an important partner for Hulk Buster and Luke Cage, i figure i can risk taking my chances bumming off the opponent's IF if I have to. The only teams I would be worried about facing in PvP would be the Hood and Loki because we all know they are a bunch of mischief makers lol

I would keep 3* Spidey and Deadpool because i wouldn't feel right tossing them and they make a fun duo (・・。)ヾ(^^ )! Now if only something could be done about that Spider-man yellow *cough cough wink wink*

IF is almost a liability if the other team is JG/HB. That 2 turn stun on match 5 is no joke

Fun question. I'm not at the 4* level, and have only recently begun pushing hard in PVP, so my pick would be DDQ and PVE centered. My Seven Samurai:

First three are my go-to Wave team, Patch of Doom is my fully-overed team without a 3rd, I like Loki more than Hood for AP Steal... and Cage is just the king with that Protect tile

I'm working on the 3-star transition right now, having everyone about half-covered on average. I only have six 4-star covers (and 3 are XFW). If this scenario happened in reality, I would have chosen almost all 2-stars ... but that's no fun. I also don't have any knowledge of how 4-star characters play, so I thought it would be disingenuous to post them.

After reading everyone's picks, I found that the character I use the most would not make most people's top 7. I use Blade so often, and even though iron fist out classes the daywalker I still would expect a few more people to keep him. Paired with Daken they make a pretty nasty combo.

At a minimum, I would give a thumbs up to a New Event that was designed exactly like this. A Choose Your Own Adventure Heroic. Before you start the event, you get to choose only 7 characters to take into the event. You have to use those 7 for the entire time (say a 3 or 4 day event).

It would obviously depend on which story event was chosen so you're not grabbing someone you'll be facing a lot), but would be a fun challenge.

Darq, you beat me to it. I've been loving the expressions of, "The horror, the horror!" at the thought of having some bad happen to your roster, so you only have seven characters left. Maybe this exercise is better thought of as "The Blackbird/Quinjet etc only will hold seven characters for your away mission, which will last a week/month. Which seven do you take?"

That's a cool idea Darq.

It might also be an interesting twist and you could only pick three to start with, and had to liberate the rest of the seven-person squad via completing certain nodes over the first day or two of the event. Jail Break! The first several nodes would probably need to be goon only to make sure the player wasn't completely locked out of a node. Or, weave in a skrull story-line and let any and all of your chosen liberated squad fight!

Hulkbuster + Iron Fist: This will cover 90% of all PvP's.
Xavier + Scarlet Witch + Grey Suit Black Widow: This covers tough nodes in PvE.

As much as I want to keep completed characters like Kingpin, Fury, Hood, 4Thor and more I'd actually base the last two on sustained tactics:

X-Force and 4* Deadpool.

Unfortunately my 4pool is only 3/1/1 and so I'd whale him out despite having other completed 4*'s to choose from. This would be done in hopes that I'd ease the strain on getting my roster back in the long term.
