Quick Poll - In/Out Universe Posts

Wanted to get a reading on what the forumites think of the in-universe posts versus standard posts.
If you're wondering what one looks like, here are examples of both:
Standard Post
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=31425
In-universe Post
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=32132
We understand that in-universe posts can be a bit harder to parse, but can be more interesting to read. So we wanted to get a general consensus as to what everyone thinks about them.

Wish I could vote 100 times for yes because this used to be one of my favorite parts of the updates back when they were written as "agent" updates! Please bring this back!0

Love the in-universe posts but a one line tl;dr written out of universe for those times where you don't have time or don't want to read the full text to get the point would be great. You could even put it in a spoiler tag so people won't have their in-universe experience ruined if they don't want to.0

Would totally second that.0 -
depends, do we get in universe post from kingpin?0
-
Voted don't care but what I actually mean is standard posts for Patch Notes and Sneak Peeks, in-universe for Contests and other random stuff. Would be fine with in-universe for Patch Notes and Sneak Peeks if there were also standard posts behind a spoiler as stochaticism suggested to avoid any ambiguity.0

tldr; standard version is a must, if in-universe wins!0

I love the in-universe posts, this is a game built on comics.. i understand the tl;dr, but if you want GREAT examples of in-universe short and sweet, may i direct you to Deadbluey's Deadpool's Fun Facts..
https://d3go.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=32196
click the show spoiler and read to the bottom..
and example, and one of my favsReward: Ragnarok (Red)
Deadpool Fun Fact about Ragnarok: For a machine, he's REALLY bad at chess. I, like, tried to tell him how to play with my special edition My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic chess set, but he couldn't even get the pieces to move right. He kept trotting them across the board in any old way making little "wheee" sounds. As an aside, perhaps downloading every episode into his hard drive and programming him to watch them all day, every day, had a part in that. How am I supposed to know? I'm not a nerd!0 -
I like in-universe posts! Stuff like wallpaper seems harder to tie into the framework of the game (although as always, Deadpool gets a pass on that fourth-wall stuff) but otherwise, go nuts with it.0

Read the post and I thought this was a poll asking if the forum wanted me banned for creating the 'Smash Bros Puzzle Quest' and 'Final Fantasy Puzzle Quest' in the speculation forums because I called the thread "Out of Universe thread (FF and Nintendo)".
As to the actual poll... I don't mind the "in universe" communication on the forum. In the game I like it as well, but it is harder to relay the very brief messages "in character". Don't sacrifice clarity and conciseness for those push messages.
On here it is fine... so long as you enjoy doing it. Don't force yourselves. If it means that you won't communicate with us as often because you are worried that you won't be able to top your last in character post, then just the details out of character is fine.
Also the announcements thread should probably not be "in character".0 -
Can't say I have a preference, I'm just happy when you keep us up to date on things.0

I'm down as long as you have all the nerfs and other controversial announcement be made by Groot0

For all we know, he just gave away the news on a 4* Rocket Raccoon! lol.0

I was going to say "don't care", and then I remembered the reference to Fitz in the pool party post, and read bits of it again.
In universe is more fun!0 -
Voted don't care (unless my internet connection just dropped).
But I think the ideal solution would be to keep special event and contest posts in-universe
But when you announce game balance changes, especially significant or meta-changing ones like character nerfs and scoring changes, they are much easier to deal with out-of-universe.0 -
I voted yes, but I also remember how lost I was reading them as a noob.
I would suggest keeping the two links above in every in-universe post to help newer forumites and guests get the hang of the lingo.0 -
I'm all for in-universe posts, but you need to be careful not to obfuscate critical details of what's being announced. It can be hard to describe exactly what a particular change means to gameplay because in-universe language is (necessarily) very broad, like storytelling.0
